so what is a montres allison?

Montres Allison watches are priced from $1200 each to $130,000 each (US dollars) and are worth every penny of full retail price. They have the best designs and value.

    Montres Allison
Montres Allison watches are some of the best in the world. Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Rolex, etc. cannot match Montres Allison. Montres Allison is by far the best.

If you can find one, pick it up, and don't worry about how high the price is. These watches are worth it. You cannot find a better watch than a Montres Allison. If you are lucky enough to get one for full retail, then count your blessings. These are the very best collector's items.

    Montres Allison
    Jitana

    A review by Thomas Sunderland - 05/21/02

What can I say about this watch?  AWESOME!!!  I ordered it online and was pleasantly surprised to see the huge black leather outer box that holds the smaller black leather inner box, the black leather MA wallet and the MA bracelet resizing tool.

I purchased the blue Jitana with blue leather strap and signed steel deployant clasp.  It has a signed screw down crown, signed case back held on with four screws, guilloche dial, 2nd time zone dial, sun/moon indicator, and of course the tourbillon looking aperature at 6:00.  The "pulse " of the watch can be seen inside this opening when the mainspring and balance wheel beat and move to and fro.

It is very beautiful and very finely made.  The screwdown crown helps ensure water resistance on this finely made timepiece (although I don't think I'll be diving with mine.)  After three days of testing, I have noted the following:  It is running fast by about 3-5 seconds per day in comparison with my Seiko quartz wristwatch.  The MA is an automatic mechanical watch.

I have checked my Rolex Sub, my Franck Muller Conquistador chrono, my TAG 6000, and my Omega Seamaster Pro 2531.80 against this same Seiko, and it seems to be very accurate.  My Montres Allison Jitana keeps time with the best of them.

The guilloche on the dial wasn't apparent from the pictures I saw when I made my purchase (my monitor is kinda old).  But what a welcome surprise.  The term guilloche means that the dial has an embossed look with many raised lines running through it in a symmetrical pattern.

This timepiece will be staying on my wrist for quite some time and I hope to give it as a family heirloom one day.

I have attached some pictures of my newest acquisition.  It is wonderful and I can say with extreme excitement that I will recommend this watch to everybody I know.

    Montres Allison
    Master Calendar

    Review by:  Roger Horton

    Date:  05/23/02

    Model Number:  MA 200.104bla

I have wanted a Montres Allison timepiece ever since my boss got his MA Slaathaug about six months ago.  I wanted a Slaathaug, but there is no way I could afford one, so I was lucky enough to find a great alternative (and not so expensive) in the MA Master Calendar.  I was struggling to decide between the silver dial and the black dial, but I finally decided to go with the black dial.  I was very happy when it arrived.  It is an extremely heavy watch and appears to be very well constructed.  I struggled a bit to figure out how the deployment clasp works, but I figured it out and it works very well.  It is my first watch with a deployment clasp, but it certainly won't be my last.  The deployment clasp is a great feature of this watch, but the best features are the complications.  It comes with day, date, month, hours, minutes, and sweep seconds.  It is automatic with manual wind and seems to be keeping very good time (although I haven't tested it).  The sides of the watch hold three small buttons that are used to quickly adjust the date functions.  I used a very small screwdriver to adjust mine, but I suppose a toothpick, an ink pen, or even a letter opener would have done fine.  The watch is very large and feels very manly.  My wife loves the watch, too, and my boss seems to be a bit envious.  The watch came with a black embossed dial in a very nice looking pattern and a black leather strap.  I don't have a digital camera, so I borrowed a few images from the MA images page at http://www.montresallison.com.

I hope you enjoyed this quick review of this fantastic timepiece.  I know its a new model, so I felt compelled to let others know how much I like it.

    Best regards,
    Roger Horton

    ----------------------------------

Here are some comments from John Price regarding this beautiful watch.

Montres Allison Jour et Nuit (Day Night) watch:

Upon opening the green leather case (with "Allison" in gold
letters on the top) the first thing that struck me about this watch was it's
size. This is not a small watch by my experience. This one is substantial.
There's a feeling of solidity too to it. Personally, I like the size of the
watch. It has presence and catches the eye. This watch demands to be noticed.

Next, I noticed the interesting dial. The Jour et Nuit has a white
sun-burst guilloched dial with Art Deco style numerals at 11, 12, 1 and 5, 6,
and 7. The other hour marks are simple stick markers. It may sound odd, but it
works and looks good. These are painted with a luminous material by the way so
the watch can be read at night. I have not thoroughly tested their
effectiveness, suffice it to say that in walking into the darkened house after
being out in the afternoon sun they glowed very well. Also, there is a circular
minutes scale directly below the hour markers, with 5, 10, 15, 20... done in red
    - a nice touch that adds some color to the dial.

Slaathaug on left.  Jour et Nuit on right.

At the 3 o'clock position on the dial is the complication that gives this
watch it's name- Jour et Nuit - the Sun/Moon indicator. While I was hoping this
was going to be a moonphase indicator (from the early photos I saw, that is what
I expected) it's still fun to see the sun & moon chase each other around. At
9 o'clock position is the 24 hour dial. This is done in silver with very fine
concentric rings that gives it a nice sun-burst effect. The position of this
dial balances the Sun/Moon indicator nicely.

The hour/minute hand axis is slightly above the center of the dial. This
leaves room below for the "tourbillon" at the 6 o'clock position. For
those of you familiar with the Clumsy Quasi Tourbillon watch you'll recognise
this little contraption. While of course not being a true tourbillon it does
provide a view of the balance swinging to and fro. And if you look closely
you'll see the escapement clicking back and forth. It's all rather like FC's
HeartBeat collection but with a twist. The twist being the tourbillon
"bridge" that lends it the look of a tourbillon. Between this "tourbillon"
and the hour/minute axis is the sub-seconds dial. If I was to complain about
anything on this watch it'd be the size of the sub-seconds dial - just too tiny
for my 40 year old eyes. Still, I don't know how it could be done differently.
The hour and minute hands are polished batons with luminous material inset.

The case is large, highly polished stainless steel. There is a bezel
around the curved crystal. The case looks very much like a Frank Muller
Conquistador's. The case-back is brushed and carries the number of the edition (NNN/200).
Also, in nicely curved font (mat???g the script on the dial only larger) is the
name Allison. The caseback is curved, adds character and fits the wrist well.
Finally, the case-back is held in place by 4 screws - one at each corner.
Dimensions (my measurements) are; width - 34mm, width including crown - 38 mm,
length - 41 mm, length from lug end to lug end - 53 mm, height - 14 mm (it looks
taller though thanks to the curve of the back).

The strap on the watch is nice, thickly padded leather - 20 mm at the lug
ends tapering to 18 mm at the buckle. The buckle is one of those that does not
stress the strap (very similar to a Hirsch's).

In operation the watch sets easily with a large crown. The crown does not
screw down and with only 4 screws securing the caseback I'm guessing that this
watch has a low tolerance for water. But then, this is no diving watch - so that
shouldn't be a problem. Another point of interest, the crown does not have the
capacity to wind the watch. Only way is to engage the automatic winding via arm
    movement.

Speaking of the movement I have little data about it. It looks to me like
a 3 arm Glucydur balance. I am not certain of the watch's reserve. However, in
my own rather unscientific test I wore the watch for nearly 2 days with it being
off my wrist only at night. At the end of that time I let it sit until it
stopped running. This occurred about 37-38 hours later.

What would I change on the watch ? Well, there's nothing I dislike about
it. Personal preference; I'd like to see sword hands instead of batons, and I
always like a display back. But those are just my preferences.

Over all, this is a fine watch. From the tonneau shaped case to the fancy
hour numerals to the Sun/Moon indicator it really captures the Art Deco style.
I've always loved the Art Deco look and am delighted to add this watch to my
collection. I look at it this way, Frank Muller charges a fortune for his
admittedly fine looking (but rather plain inside) watches. I won't say what
???'s charging for this watch (I'll leave it to him to make that announcement
when the time comes) but you know its got to be less that any Frank Muller. A
lot less. So, if you are interested in a limited edition (200), Art Deco styled
tonneau watch that you won't see on anyone-else's wrist (except watch savvy
fellow WZers! ) put some money aside for when these Montres Allison Jour et Nuit
    watches go on the market.

    Montres Allison Slaathaug Master Calendiere

    Montres Allison Slaathaug Master Calendiere

What a great package.  Green outer box, green inner
box, bracelet resizing tool, and green leather wallet really add to the overall
sense that this is a very nice wristwatch.  I have never seen another watch
with the same pusher combination.  The 8 o'clock pusher functions the day
wheel, the 4 o'clock pusher functions the date wheel, and the 2 o'clock pusher
functions the month wheel.  The pushers make the date on this watch very
    easy to set.

The crown screws down and is used to manually wind the
watch and set the time.  This is an automatic wristwatch and doesn't need
to be manually wound in order to get it going and if you keep wearing it, it
doesn't need to be manually wound to keep it going.

I took the bracelet off and replaced it with a black
leather strap.  I like to keep bracelets in good condition and saving it in
a drawer is a nice way to do so.

I took the back off of the watch and saw the engraved
rotor.  I then took it off and started disassembling the watch to play with
it a little.  It is a very nicely constructed watch.  I thought the
plastic movement holder was a little out of place in such a high end watch, but
then I started thinking that plastic absorbs shock better than metals, so it was
    probably a good choice.

The Montres Allison card, owner's manual, international
warranty card and certificate of authenticity sit  below the Slaathaug in
the inner green box.  In my humble opinion, these printed materials really
help make the package a nice one.

I have worn this watch for a little over a week and you
wouldn't believe all of the compliments I have received on it.  People are
astounded to see such a different looking watch.  People at the grocery
store, restaurants, the mall... They love the watch.  It really catches
peoples' eyes and that makes me as an owner of this watch very proud.  Its
nice to wear something different that people really find interesting.

I think this watch may be a little bit overpriced at
$21k, but it is definitely my favorite watch.  I enjoy just looking at
    it.

The dial is white and guilloched (which means it has
little raised edges in a nice design).  The bracelet bears an
"MA" logo on the clasp.  The back is engraved with the name of
the watch and the individual number in the sequence of 200 (only 200 ever
produced).  The warranty card also bears the number of the accompanying
wristwatch.  The blued hands are a nice touch and the sun/moon indicator
really adds a high-end feel to this watch.  It is the heaviest watch I have
    ever owned.

I must say that I will be keeping this watch and passing
it along as a family heirloom.  It is that nice.  I'm not kidding.

Montres Allison should be proud of this wonderful
    creation.  I am.

    Review: Montres Allison Jitana

    by

    Myron Larson

    Maui, Hawaii

    MA200.110bla

Awhile back, I was browsing through the internet for new watch styles when I came across the Montres Alllison website (http://www.montresallison.com). I checked through the Montres Allison models they listed on the website and saw this very fine looking Montres Allison Jitana for the first time. Although its a replay on the art deco look seen early in the 20th century, it is a very new look to me, and is not very common.  It is extremely high in aesthetic appeal.  The designers must have taken great pain in producing such a pleasing to the eye timepiece.  It looks similar to the original Montres Allison Jour et Nuit, except that it has a deployant clasp, dial and strap are in mat???g colors, and it has 2nd time zone dial instead of the 24 hour dial of the Montres Allison Jour et Nuit. The 2nd time zone dial is useful for me because I have business dealings on the mainland.  The dial looks a little better with larger numerals, too.  At that point, I tried to locate this model through many websites in USA and Europe, but was unsuccessful.  Eventually, Montres Allison listed their authorized dealers on their website and about two weeks ago, I found a US watch retailer website (DeBoy Watches - http://www.deboywatches.com) and discovered that they sell Montres Allison watches. To my delight, they listed this model. I wasn't sure whether the watch is still available... so I emailed them, and I was pleased when I received the email from Jim that the watch is available. The price was also within what I can afford (under $4,000.00). It took 1 day to receive this beautiful timepiece. The watch arrived in perfect working condition and was packaged very, very well.

This great timepiece uses the well known MA 200.101 movement that has set a benchmark in beauty by showing the balance wheel at 6:00 with a bridge across it (much like a tourbillon).  Although this watch is not a tourbillon, it looks remarkably similar to one.  The crown is signed, the caseback is signed, the dial is signed, and the deployant clasp is signed.  I take enjoyment in wearing a timepiece that bears so many logos from the manufacturer.

Overall, I am very pleased with this fine, luxury watch.  It has received a number of strong compliments from my friends, co-workers, and people who happen to see it on my wrist.  I feel like a superstar when wearing it.  I give this watch a definite "thumbs up."

    Montres Allison Jour et Nuit

I recently (about a month ago) received my special, limited edition MA Jour et Nuit number 43.  It is an extremely nice timpiece.  I have checked it for timekeeping accuracy and have found it to be within 10 seconds per week from my Junghans atomic watch.

The case is very nice and very substantial.  The laser engraving on the caseback is very beautiful.  It came in its green leather box with accompanying embossed operating instructions in an embossed MA envelope.  Needless to say, the accompanying paperwork and cards are very nice.

The watch is automatic and must be wound by shaking (there is no manual wind function) and has a very good power reserve.  The 24 hour hand and the day/night indicator look very nice on this watch.  I have received many compliments on it already.

I think its too bad that there are fake Franck Mullers, Cartiers, and others who have copied this beautiful design after the Jour et Nuits came out.  The fakes cannot possibly be this nice, but their dials look similar.

Montres Allison is producing some very nice watches.  This is my first MA, but it certainly won't be my last.

I don't have a digital camera or I would have added some scans.  You can see what the watch looks like at http://www.montresallison.com.

I am a very happy camper!

    Lars

    Review

    Montres Allison Uragano II

    Written By:  Robert Zingarelli

This watch is very technically advanced and very finely finished.  It is the largest watch I've ever seen and is very beautiful.  The price paid?  $3995.00 plus tax.  It is not an inexpensive watch and I have a number of other high end watches including three Rolexes, two Omegas, one Patek Philippe, one Vacheron Constantin, one Franck Muller, one Breilting, and a vintage Movado.

In my humble opinion, the Montres Allison is the most captivating.  My initial timing results?  After two weeks, it is gaining an average of 2 seconds a week in comparison to the atomic clock.  It keeps as good or better time than any of my other watches.  I do not have a more beautifully finished movement in any of my watches.  The finish is unique and unlike anything else available on the market.  The sun/moon dial at 12 is raised and made from rose gold.  It complements the watch nicely.  The watch is 37 mm wide.  It dwarfs my other watches.  Is there anything bigger?  Maybe some Panerais, but I can't think of much else.

As a WIS, I was skeptical of this new brand, Montres Allison, but after seeing this one and owning it and wearing it and receiving a high number of compliments on it from complete strangers (never got one on a Rolex), I am thrilled to own this Montres Allison Uragano II.  It is the nicest watch you can imagine.  Haven't felt a heavier watch either.  It is solid and the case is very finely finished.  It has sapphire crystals on the front and back and you can see the balance wheel moving back and forth from the dial side.  WOW... I am hypnotized.

What a marvelous creation.  Montres Allison is the best in my book.  I can feel safe in recommending Montres Allison to anybody.  I am that impressed.

Hope you liked my short review.

    Sincerely,

    Robert

The senior sales manager had a good look at both MA watches and was very impressed with them, especially the J & N. In his view both of them had the Franck Muller look, with the J & N a lot like a Muller Tourbillon watch. He also thought both of them appeared to be very well manufactured. Incidentally he didn't think much of Rolex except as a good investment watch."

"Very well crafted and good value too!"

    "BEAUTIFUL WATCH. Great transaction. AA++"

"Excellent watch, great price, super fast shipping, highly recommended!!! A+++++++"

"My wife is wearing the Jour and it looks like a ??? $. You guys did another Larry Walker and hit one right out of the park. My wife was born in the Philippines and the gold tones of the dial and bezel combined with the elegant brown leather strap make for a very fine match for her light coffee-colored skin tone. I dare say this could be treated as a unisex watch for the right person. I'm not surprised one of the Broncos has one too.  The Slaathaug has also arrived in A1 condition."

"Great Looking Timepiece - Thanks, and please put me on your mailing list."

"A true professional his description was detailed and poetic the item equally so."

"i got a great watch for a super price! thanks."

"ps after taking 3 links out Thursday evening to fit the watch correctly, the Slaathaug is the only watch I have been wearing. It rightly receives nothing but the highest praise from my clients (I'm the Canadian equivalent of a CPA with over 400 clients, so this watch is getting some attention, and the right kind too)."

And here is the history of Montres Allison
Re: Here is some links to very good Montres Allison info...... -- Axelsen Post Reply Top of the thread Main Forum
Mr. Kiu Tai Yu's creations have gained the highest monetary value.

The expertise of Mr. Kiu Tai Yu demonstrates that expert watchmakers can originate from geographic regions beyond Switzerland, and can attain the highest credentials.

Montres Allison  produces exclusive, beautiful timepieces similar to the old Swiss watchmaking houses. Like legendary Swiss watchmakers who personally sold their complicated movements and expertise to fascinated connoisseurs of fine timepieces, Montres Allison, markets its exclusive collection of custom designed, mechanical timepieces with superior quality movements and complications in a similar fashion.

    DIFFERENT!
People buy different. They buy what they like and there are thousands of collectors out there who will only wear a Montres Allison. (There is a cult following for these fantastically different watches.)

Montres Allison notes, that both members of couples wear their watches. It’s not surprising that both wear the watches, but what is surprising is that people actually wear his watches all of the time unlike other luxury watches which get put into a safe or a drawer somewhere.

The Montres Allison watches are very wearable and are not as delicate as you may think. They are made to wear and to be used all of the time. Each Montres Allison timepiece is put through fantastic quality-control procedures to ensure that every piece is up to the Montres Allison standards.

This NEW watch this masterpiece, this cooperation between movement manufacturer and creative designer will be available this year. It is Mr. Allison’s tourbillon. His collections have had complicated timepieces before, but nothing like this. This is a showpiece, and it is a watch that you would be very happy to own and wear.

Montres Allison is watchmaking in its purest, finest form.

Truly loved by passionate watch afficianados, Montres Allison crafts many limited edition watches in stainless steel, copper, brass, and gold. In every instance, they are of the highest quality in their price range. Many components are the same as those used by Swiss manufacturers, but Montres Allison prides itself in using parts designed to suit its complicated needs regardless of the country of origin as long as the exacting standards of Montres Allison are met in the production of these precision crafted pieces.  Some of the best designers and engineers in the world are located in Germany, ???a, ???, Japan, Russia, Switzerland, and the US.  Montres Allison utilizes the best talent in all of these areas in its worldwide effort to produce some of the best, most unique luxury timepieces available in the world.

Montres Allison is not a run-of-the-mill, exclusive, luxury watch brand. It features exceptional calendar movements such as a Master Calendiere, several different tourbillons, a beautiful aperture showing the balance wheel on the dial of the Ciclone II, and many other complicated and classic designs.  Montres Allison's reputation rests on its aesthetic beauty, unique designs, and technical achievements rather than an expensive marketing campaign.

You're not likely to see the person next to you on an airline wearing a Montres Allison timepiece, but professional athletes, those in the entertainment industry, watch connoisseurs, and executives from some of the world's largest corporations grace their wrists with these fine timepieces.

Montres Allison, is just an email away, adding a unique personal touch in today's world of exclusive timepieces.

Did you know that many of the popular "Swiss watches" are not entirely Swiss made?  Loopholes in the term's requirement for use allow many brands to carry the "Swiss Made" logo simply because their watches are assembled in Switzerland (despite the fact many of the parts are made in ??? and other parts of the world).  Although many of Montres Allison's components and movements are Swiss made, the Montres Allison brand does not apply an artificial Swiss Made stamp on its dial because it is not necessary. The quality, which exceeds that of even the best known Swiss watch brands, speaks for itself.  Montres Allison is a pioneer and that it fully discloses the resources used in regions other than Switzerland to manufacture it's luxury timepieces.

Montres Allison is proud to be a member of the following associations:

Better Business Bureau, National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors, American Watch Guild, American Watchmakers & Clockmakers Institute, British Horological Institute, International Watch Collector's Society, British Watch & Clock Collectors Association, and is a featured manufacturer in Watches International 2003.

Montres Allison - Creating History A World Away

Click Here for an exciting career in wristwatch design, assembly, and service working for Montres Allison.

Horologically speaking, watchmaking originated in small workshops in the Swiss mountain region of the Vallee de Joux. J.H. Allison was the first member of the Allison family to produce watches.  Mr. Allison started producing watches in 1853 in Detroit, Michigan, USA.  Some of these early Allison watches command nearly $20,000 in the collector market.  Mr. Allison died in 1890, and it wasn't until the late 20th century that the Allison family name would again appear on timepieces.

Ensvizzengarten, located in the high mountains near Nederland, CO,  is the home of Montres Allison wristwatches. While a world away from the Swiss origin of watchmaking, Montres Allison produces some of the finest timepieces available in the world today using Montres Allison in-house movements, ETA Swiss Made movements, and ebauches and calibres from various regions and manufacturers around the world.  Non-inhouse components absolutely must be manufactured to the precise standards required in Montres Allison luxury timepieces.  Montres Allison is proud that it will not be limited to only one geographic region in the selection of parts, movements, and components in the manufacture of its luxury timepieces.  Montres Allison utilizes the best technology and engineers in the world during the design and manufacture processes.  With assembly, engineering, service and design processes being performed in New York, NY, USA; Ipsach, Switzerland; Nederland, CO, USA; Japan, Russia, Germany, ???a, and ???, Montres Allison is truly a ??? presence in the luxury wristwatch industry.  Montres Allison has holdings in Movado, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy, DeBoy Watches (worldwide distributor), American Watch Design, and Progress Watch Corporation (Swiss tourbillon manufacturer) and is an affiliate of Timebeat.com Enterprises, Inc. (OTCBB: TMBT).  Click Here for the corporate website.

Born in ???a in 1946, Kiu Tai Yu started studying the watch structure before the age of 20 and, aged 23, he realized his first mechanical watch; in 1978 he created his first escapement without pallets. In 1980 he moved to ???, where he dealt with old watches in his shop Kie & Cie.

His passion for old watches led him to write the book "Time in Pocket" that was granted the Best Print Quality Award in ??? and adopted by a Swiss watch-making school. In 1991 he started realizing movements with
tourbillon devices whose components are wholly constructed by himself - from the pillar-plate to the wheelwork, a complication in which he specialized himself by exploring virtually all the possible technical solutions allowed for, included the one in which balance and balance spring are housed in the turning carriage with the escapement attached to the fixed part of the movement. Kiu Tai Yu is a full member of the AHCI since 1992.

Each watch by Kiu Tai Yu represents a trip into the ??? aesthetics. ???ese lacquerware and gold, sensual curves and ideograms recreate the formal canons of watchmaking through a cultural diaphragm which is completely different from tradition. His creations recalls the ancient shapes of the pagoda. The
Tourbillon Flying models include the Mystery Tourbillon Rectangular made in pink yellow and white gold, the Mystery Flying Tourbillon No. 12 with the tourbillon carriage at 9 and time zone at 2, the Tourbillon No. 13 with flying tourbillon carriage and off-center hours. The tourbillon seems not to hold mysteries for Kin Tai Yu. We must stress that every single piece of this splendid watches, from the case to the dial to the movement itself is completely hand-made and produced in single specimens, each incredibly fascinating.

For two subsequent years Kin Tai Yu is "neglecting" tourbillons and is devoted to watches without complications. The Joy of the Millenium in platinum made in 1999 was inspired by the "delicate" mechanics of the Heavenly Clocks (i.e. ???ese astronomical watches used more than 1000 years ago) and characterized by the particular dial design with the large 18K gold sight balance bridge and the off-center hour display. The new Millennium created in 2000 is an automatic watch with the characteristic pagoda-shaped case in 18K yellow, white and pink gold. The hand-decorated dial design aims at harmonizing different cultures by the name written in both English and ???ese and markers alternating brilliants with 9 in Roman numerals, 21 (instead of 12 as a homage to the XXIst century) in Arabic numerals and 3 and 6 in ???ese characters.

Montres Allison is a proud member of the American Watch Guild.  The American Watch Guild is an unprecedented way to recognize those quality retailers, manufacturers and affiliated service companies whose standard of excellence has set them apart in the fine watch industry.  It draws it's inspiration from the tradition of the medieval guilds.  Those associations of artisans and merchant, from goldsmith to weavers, were formed to preserve professionalism within their crafts and to assure buyers of quality by  displaying the coveted symbol of their guild.  The American Watch Guild has been established in that spirit.  It is to be a guild of fine watch professionals devoted to advancing the prestige of the industry, as well as to maintaining the high standards of products and service for which they are known in their communities.  Membership in the American Watch Guild carries with it the commitment to the following criteria:

    • Authorized agents of the watch brands.
    • Maintenance of a channel for ethical distribution that respects the integrity of the watch.
    • Promotion and display whose quality reflects that of the fine watches offered to sale.
    • Trained watch sales associates.
    • Authorized service for maintenance and servicing of watches.

A plaque bearing the Guild emblem will be displayed by its members.

and here's a Montres Allison Jordynelisse

    Model: MA 200.1132
    Name: Jordynelisse II
    Gender/Size: Men's

    Retail price:  $1495.00

    Powered by ETA

Description: Steel tonneau case and genuine alligator strap with signed stainless steel deployant clasp, automatic 25 jewel Swiss ETA mechanical movement, signed screw down crown, signed automatic rotor, signed caseback, and aperture at 12:00 exposing the balance wheel and mainspring.  The aperture allows you to see the "heartbeat of the watch."  It is a true wonder to behold.  Comes in large shoe size leather box with MA logo containing smaller leather MA box which houses this beautiful timepiece.  Large box also contains MA black leather wallet, MA polishing cloth, embossed certificate of authenticity, embossed operating instructions, black plastic credit card style international warranty card, and bracelet resizing tool.

    Case Diameter:
    37mm x 41mm
    Case Depth:
    14mm

The TAG is mass produced and uses an inexpensive ETA quartz movement, but is priced higher than the completely unique, limited production Montres Allison Jordynelisse II.  And the Montres Allison has a lifetime warranty.  I hope others can follow this interesting lead and do more comparisons.  I found the TAG on ebay and took the Montres Allison from their website.  How can Montres Allison sell this watch for less than an obviously inferior TAG quartz chronograph?  Beats the heck out of me, but Montres Allison is far above and beyond TAG Heuer in overall product value.

and here is a Montres Allison for comparison

    Model: MA 200.1152
    Name: Evolution II
    Gender/Size: Men's
    Retail Price:  $1,495.00

    Powered by ETA

Description: Steel tonneau case and genuine alligator strap with signed stainless steel deployant clasp, diamond dial, 25 jewel Swiss ETA automatic mechanical movement, signed screw down crown, signed automatic rotor, beautiful gold colored movement, signed caseback, date window at 6:00.  Beige colored flat dial with mother of pearl inlay that surrounds guilloche part of dial and steel bracelet.  Comes in large shoe size leather box with MA logo containing smaller leather MA box which houses this beautiful timepiece.  Large box also contains MA black leather wallet, MA polishing cloth, embossed certificate of authenticity, embossed operating instructions, black plastic credit card style international warranty card, and bracelet resizing tool.

    Case Diameter:
    34mm x 41mm
    Case Depth:
    14mm

The Montres Allison is as unique (with a more unique tonneau case), much more limited in production, and costs 1/3 of the price of the RGM.  They both use ETA movements with differences in the decoration, but the Montres Allison has a more complicated ETA movement with the date function.  The Montres Allison also has several real diamonds on the dial.  Very interesting, and very nice deal for the Montres Allison.  Much better value than the RGM.

Second hand at 9:00. 34mm x 41mm also available in 37mm x 41mm
    Case Depth:
    14mm

You cannot find this movement by any other manufacturer.  It is unique to Montres Allison.  Whereas the Omega uses a very generic and mass produced movement.  The packaging is similar in quality, but the Montres Allison sells for less and is much more unique and limited in production.  Case materials are the same.  But the Montres Allison also has a lifetime warranty.  The Montres Allison is clearly a much better deal.

Here is yet another example of a mass produced quartz product versus a very unique limited production Montres Allison Mechanical watch.

    Model: 9331
    Series:Parsifal
    Suggested Retail Price:$1,395

      Stainless Steel case
      Men's size
      Quartz movement
      Butterfly clasp
      Silver dial with Roman numerals
      Calendar at 3 o'clock
      Strap: s/s brushed bracelet
      Water resistant to 50m

    ---------------------

And here is a Montres Allison that clearly outshines this

    raymond Weil:

    Model: MA 200.1062
    Name: Uragano II
    Gender/Size: Men's
    Retail Price:  $1,495.00

Description:  Steel tonneau case and genuine alligator strap with signed stainless steel deployant clasp, automatic mechanical movement, signed screw down crown, signed automatic rotor, beautiful rose gold damaskeening on the movement accompanied by blued screws, signed caseback, sun/moon indicator at 12:00, and aperture at 6:00 displaying the balance wheel to show the heartbeat of the movement.  Comes in large shoe size leather box with MA logo containing smaller leather MA box which houses this beautiful timepiece.  Large box also contains MA black leather wallet, MA polishing cloth, embossed certificate of authenticity, embossed operating instructions, black plastic credit card style international warranty card, and bracelet resizing tool.

    Case Diameter:
    37mm x 41mm
    Case Depth:
    14mm

The Montres Allison costs a tiny bit more, but look at the beautifully finished automatic movement on the Montres Allison versus the cheap quartz in the Parsifal.  This movement is in no other watch other than a Montres Allison and is completely unique to them.  Is Raymond Weil overpriced, or is Montres Allison providing the deals of the century?????

Now this Movado is lower priced than the Montres Allison we will compare it to, but it should be... After all... The gold you see on the case is plated... Which means that it won't last.  For $1000 retail, this Movado's gold will start to fade and it has a cheap mass produced quartz movement.

A modern, contemporary profile from Movado...introducing the Sprita men's watch. Sleek, sophisticated lines in stainless steel and polished gold plate. Perfectly round brushed and polished steel case is presented on the striking brushed steel bracelet with polished gold plated links. Integrated, polished gold plated bezel frames the black museum dial with gold colored hands and hour markers.

The Montres Allison has a beautiful movement, multi-complications, etc.  I think the Montres Allison is very underpriced and the Movado is very overpriced.  Can you argue otherwise?  I didn't think so.

Join in.  Do some similar comparisons.  Montres Allisons seem to be the best value on the market.  Without a doubt.  And they have lifetime warranties!  WOW!  I'm obviously pro Montres Allison, and I think you should be, too.

identical to this one with the same movement and description but for thousands less.  Maybe this one is limited edition?  I can't think of any other reason for such pricing difference.  These are priced pretty high.  But Roland G. Murphy (RGM) produces nice watches.  I'm sure that Montres Allisons are just as good, but for less money.

I don't get it... Here is a Limes that looks like a cheap Japanese watch selling for $1100.00 vs. a Montres Allison that costs a little more but is much more unique and wealthy looking.

    Picture of a watch

Click on image for larger view

    Picture of a watch

    Picture of a watch
    1Tausend, orange, rubberised strap
    Reference: U8747-LA1.2

    Movement:
ETA 2824-2, Swiss automatic movement, adjusted in five positions, 28.800 vib/h, 25 jewels, Incabloc shock absorption

    Watch case :
Stainless steel, polished and satin finish, thick sapphire crystal, rotating bezel with 60 min. scale and luminous point, solid screw case back, screw crown, waterresistant to 1000m, diameter 39,9mm, thickness 12,4mm

    Dial + Hands:
Orange dial with luminous numerals and luminous hands

    Band:
Rubberised strap with leather lining and buckle

    ------------------

    Here is the Montres Allison:

    Model: MA 200.1142
    Name: Etalon II
    Gender/Size: Men's

    Powered by ETA

Description: Steel tonneau case and genuine alligator strap with signed stainless steel deployant clasp, diamond dial, 25 jewel Swiss ETA automatic mechanical movement, signed screw down crown, signed automatic rotor, beautiful gold colored movement, signed caseback, date window at 3:00.  Guilloche dial with leather strap steel bracelet.  Comes in large shoe size leather box with MA logo containing smaller leather MA box which houses this beautiful timepiece.  Large box also contains MA black leather wallet, MA polishing cloth, embossed certificate of authenticity, embossed operating instructions, black plastic credit card style international warranty card, and bracelet resizing tool.

    Case Diameter:

    Case Depth:
    14mm

The Limes probably has the solid back to hide a movement that is not finely finished like the Montres Allison movement.  The Limes does cost less, but looks like so many cheap Japanese watches on the market.  The Japanese produce nice, quality watches, but the Limes watch has copied their look in a $1000 + watch that is much less watch than the comparable Montres Allison with real diamonds and unique appearance and limited edition.
