back PRESS RELEASE: FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 12-03-2002 KAMIKAZE Art Gallery and Media Center DEATH TO THE KAMIKAZE Final Show on December 14, 2002 at 9pm. On Saturday, December 14, the doors to the final show at the KAMIKAZE open at 9pm. The KAMIKAZE is at 435 Ellicott Street in Buffalo, and there is a donation of $3 at the door. Seating is limited so arrive early. The gallery has photography, painting and sound work, with video and performance in the back. There will be a post show dance party. Kamikaze is made up of a group of Young Buffalo Artists (the YBA's): Calder Greenwood, Nicholas Golebiewski, Colin Hargraves, Tom Holt, Anna Lavatelli, John Logan, Brian Milbrand, and Jen Roth. The Kamikaze started in September of 2002 as a place for the rapid production and exhibition of new art outside the standard gallery and performance space system. This fresh group of artists exploded onto the art scene and will vanish as soon as the impact is made.
