Great
Teacher Onizuka
Former
bike gang leader, former Onibaku, Eikichi Onizuka is
becoming a teacher. Of course that made waves among
his biker friends, but hey. Eikichi is known for trying
everything and not giving up. But this challenge may
be the one that may be an end to him. The Chairlady
Sakurai, his sponsor, makes him take charge of the most
torturous class of all of Holy Forest acadamy. Class
3-4. Of course, there is a back story of why these kids
are the way they are. But it would only take Onizuka's
will power, strength and luck to help him find out what
is wrong with these students.
This is the major premise
between the two versions. However, in the Anime there
have been more filler episodes, and moving away from
the reasons why the students acted the way they did.
The amount of characters and the character arcs are
a bit different between the two.
Main differences:
The most major difference
why the Anime differs from the Manga is that the reason
why the students strike out against teachers and adults.
It was because of the loss of a best friend of Miyabi's.
Whereas in the Manga, it is a bit different. It was
because of what a teacher did to her.
Another difference is
the amount of characters. There is just so many more
characters in the Manga than the Anime. If the Anime
version was extended, maybe we would have seen the Mayu
arc, or the Daimon arc. It would have been really great
if Studio Pierrot made GTO more than 43 episodes.
