PUPPY UPDATE, 06/29/06: Heard today from the owner of Puppy #2, saying, "Darcy is doing great."

PUPPY UPDATE, 01/04/06: Heard from the owner of Puppy #4, saying, "We have been very happy with Foxy. She amazes each day with her intelligence. Her most favorite activity these days is sledding down the hill in our yard with Elizabeth and Thomas. Foxy loves to be outside! She is also very obedient. We take her outside of our fence area to run and slide and she stays in the yard - she doesn't even run after creatures that go by. We have had no health concerns with Foxy."

PUPPY UPDATE, 12/31/05: Heard from the owner of Puppy #2, saying, "Darcy is doing great. We now live in Virginia."

PUPPY UPDATE, 12/30/05: Heard from the owner of Puppy #3, saying, "Lexxie is doing well."

PUPPY UPDATE, 06/28/05: Puppy #1 (Freddie) has grown into a large-sized sheltie. He now weighs 36 lbs. Based on the information I have about them, it is likely that Puppy #2 grew to be a small sized sheltie, Puppy #3 a large sized sheltie, and Puppy #4 a medium sized sheltie. From this litter and the subsequent litter, we had all three sizes of shelties.

PUPPY UPDATE, 12/16/04: Heard from the owner of Puppy #4 (Foxy) this evening. Foxy now weighs 21 lbs. and "is learning commands very nicely and is becoming more cuddly every day." Tonight she graduates from Puppy Headstart. They shared a few photos, one of which is added to the site above.

PUPPY UPDATE, 12/15/04: Took Puppy #1 (Freddie) to the vet this morning to have him neutered. He now weighs in at 28 lbs. He now weighs more than both parent dogs and is taller and longer than both of them as well.

PUPPY UPDATE, 12/14/04: Heard from the owner of Puppy #3 (Lexxie) - they report that she is "getting to be a big dog and she is very stocky. The kids love her very much." They shared a photo that has been added in the site above.

PUPPY UPDATE, 09/01/04: Heard from the owner of Puppy #2, saying, "She is doing great. She gets a lot of attention when I walk her."

PUPPY UPDATE, 08/18/04: Heard from the owner of Puppy #2, saying, "Darcy is a really good dog. She's very quite in my office and sleeps in her kennel. Everyone here loves her."

PUPPY UPDATE, 08/12/04: Heard from the owner of Puppy #2, saying, "Darcy is doing fine. She did not cry last night only for a few seconds then was quiet the rest of the night. She seems to be a smart little puppy and is really cute."

THE PUPPIES' FIRST VET VISIT, 07/13/04: Today the puppies saw our vet and got their first set of shots and first dose of dewormer. The puppies vary a lot in weight - all are healthy, but some puppies are larger than others. Puppy #1 weighs 5 1/4 lbs., Puppy #2 weighs 4 lbs., Puppy #3 weighs 5 1/2 lbs., and Puppy #4 weighs 4 1/2 lbs.

Our shelties and chow chow are part of our family, well loved and very socialized. We have a large fenced yard for our dogs to run and play in, and our dogs have access to dog houses and our garage. In our garage is a fenced off area with an insulated, heated nesting box for Lucy's pups; however, her winter litters have typically spent most of their upbringing inside our home. Sabra has a separate, two-room house for raising her pups. Our dogs frequently visit inside our home for love and play with our family.
