Our long-time member, committee member, Membership Secretary, well-known l'Escala resident, Leonard Dorey, died on this day. He was taken ill when most of the attendees at our AGM and Lunch had left, and was taken by ambulance to Figueres Hospital. Shortly after arrival at the hospital his condition deteriorated quickly, and he was pronounced dead before midnight. 

Leonard was a staunch supporter of the British Society of Catalunya, Emporda branch, and also of many of the other societies in the area, including the Royal British Legion. He was born on 11.11.1917.  He will be sorely missed.
