Marching Band Years

These pictures were from my years in the Venice High School Marching Band. My Sophmore Year the Band didn't take pictures, but as for Junior and Senior years, well, they did, and so here they are.

Junior Year

This was the year that I played the lead on the bells in the band's pit. During band season 1988-1989, my Junior year, the band did an entire James Bond theme to the field show, yet again placing third in our class size for All City Competition in the Los Angeles Unified School District.

First Female Head Drum Major

Yes, I am proud of the fact that I was indeed the first female Head Drum Major in Venice High School's 83 year history. It was a major accomplishment for me, breaking the glass ceiling so young in life *wink & giggles*.

My band 1989-1990 was a wonderful group of people. We had an exceptional show of jazz music which was way ahead of its time. We went to the International Competition in Hawaii in April 1990.
