Leptospira Canicola Disease

Leptospira is a fatal disease passed from dog to dog by a dog's contaminated urine. It can cause severe kidney damage and can eventually lead to death if not treated early with antibiotics. You can prevent your dog from having this by asking for the current vaccine. There are three stages to this disease.

1st stage:

 The symptoms for the first stage are two to three shivering attacks a day. And take notice of this, there will be a general lack of interest in going outdoors, but when taken outdoors, your dog would appear quite well. 

2nd Stage- Chronic Nephritis:

The symptoms for Chronic Nephritis are unusual thinness, and continuous thirst. Your dog's eyes' conjunctiva would appear muddy, also.

3rd Stage- Acute Nephritis:

In Acute Nephritis, your dog would be frequently vomiting, causing his/her teeth to become discolored.  The tongue would be furred and blackened. Your dog would also be having hemorrhagic diarrhea.
