Acute Bronchitis
Acute Bronchitis is caused by a long chill to your dog's
body, or can appear if your dog stays at a cold, wet kennel. It's often been
associated with Distemper, but don't get confused. Its symptoms are cough, nose
discharge, rising temperature (fever), and rapid breathing.
The treatment for Acute Bronchitis is to put your dog in a
warm, undisturbed area. You should give him/her steam inhalations of
(recommended) Friar's Balsam, and keep him/her on a light diet until fully
recovered. It is also advised to contact your vet as soon as you notice the
symptoms. If it is not treated soon enough, it could lead to Chronic
Bronchitis.
