Jo Witt has been a freelance writer since 1989, initially writing articles on a variety of topics and more recently writing a humorous book series about her cat.

Another venture of Jo's was working for a couple of years as a Career Consultant (self-employed), collecting statistical employer data which she compiled into reports, marketed and sold. Prior to these ventures Jo worked for 12 years in office management and support staff positions in colleges and universities in both Missouri and Minnesota.

In college Jo majored first in nursing with strong support in psychology and later in business administration.

A creative individual, Jo plays the piano, sings and writes music (mostly contemporary Christian, but also a love song and a hymn). Jo is also an artist, specializing in portraits and figure drawings.

An energetic individual, Jo likes to stay physically active--nowadays mostly by working out at the gym or an occasional family bike ride, but in earlier years as an avid runner, playing tennis and working on uneven parallel bars.

Jo enjoys nature--animals, exploring wooded areas, sandy beaches, collecting shells, sunrises and sunsets, rainbows, white fluffy clouds, land smothered with dandelions or other wild flowers, moonlight, butterflies, woolly worms and fireflies. A native Missourian, her favorite place is her parents' farm--which she finds entrancing with the breathtaking hills and valleys interspersed with densely wooded areas and the serenity of the sounds of nature, marveling in that which God has made.

Jo is 45 and has two wonderful daughters.
