Highwood seem to be finally getting it together with yet another excellent win!

On a cold wet Sunday, highwood went up against a winless Hythe Strikers, many expected a flood of goals however with Tom Boulton and Martyn Stringer both passed unfit to start the match things didnt go there way. Soon into the game center back James Purcell made a brilliant run down the righht his cross unfortently Highwood failed to finish just a few minutes late james was involved again this time at the other end making a basic mistake which let Hythe tkae the lead. Highwood fought back. Going into the break Highwood were back level with sub Charlie Lewis scoring. After the break things looked up, Tom and Martyn came off the bench and within seconds linked up to put Highwood 2-1 up tom and Alan Whiteway added one more each to put the game supposeddly out of reach. At 4-1 Highwood began to cruise, Hythe threw players forward and Highwoods midfield ground to a halt, Hythe capatalised with two goals. Going inot the last few minutes Highwood led 4-3 but the game was sealed when Varun Sitarum smashed a shot high into the roof of the net. By no means a great win. but still 3 points, especially since many players were forced to play out of postion because of the injures.
