Membership Qualifications & Dues

Active membership: This level of membership is open to published writers; dues are $45 per year*. Applicants must provide clips or a resume of publications to qualify for this level of membership.

Associate membership: This level of membership is open to all who are actively writing and seeking publication in the future; dues are $45 per year*. Applicants must provide copies of works in progress to qualify for this level of membership.

TWIGS membership: This level of membership is designed for the youthful writer of ages 12-21. It is a chance to gain experience in writing and to associate with professional writers who will offer guidance and example; dues are $10 per year. TWIGS members must be enrolled in school (middle school through college) to qualify.

First time members in the Active and Associate categories pay a one-time new member fee of $20 in addition to the annual dues.

Dues renewals are due on July 1 of each year. From mid-year (January) all new membership dues are $22.50, plus the one time new member fee of $20 for Active and Associate membership.

First time guests of members are admitted free of charge. Thereafter, the guest fee is $5 per meeting. If a visitor decides to join the branch, the guest fee will be applied to the first year’s dues.
The Inland Empire Branch of the California Writers Club publishes their journal Fresh Ink monthly. Submissions are actively solicited from the IECWC membership. Subscription is included in membership fee.

On I-10 (San Bernardino Freeway), go to Exit 51, N Euclid Ave (CA-83 S).Turn South on Euclid. Go about 1.5 miles. Turn left onto C Street. The Library is straight ahead – one block. Our meeting room is to the left when you come in the front entrance.
