It is my hope that all students will gain a better understanding of cultures foreign to them. Students will also be prepared for life-skills Spanish, where they will be able to communicate using basic questions and responses should they be required to do so in a real life setting. Students will gain a better understanding of the grammar and syntax of Spanish AND English.

Course Syllabus

This is my twelth year in Education and I've been teaching Spanish at Butler for all twelve years. I am a Butler alumnus, having graduated in 1985. I graduated from Augusta College in 1989 with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Spanish (major coursework wasn't offered in Spanish at that time). I studied at the University of Salamanca in Spain for one Summer between my junior and senior years of college. I am currently the Tennis coach and the girls volleyball coach. My hobbies include: playing volleyball, weightlifing, swimming, tennis, reading, mountain biking and spending time with my wife.
