So...
How do you like the new design?
Since it's been a while, I decided to change the look,
quite a bit. I'm happy with it.
I don't know what to say, the world just got so much colder. I would just like to say that my thoughts are with the victims and their families.
The Tao that can be described in words is not the eternal Tao.
- the Tao Te Ching.
Changed the AFortunes-link so it points to the file at amigadev.net instead; saves me having to update two files.
Updated Fortunes and AFortunes.
Added the spiffy random text in the <title>. Also added the Windows Software page. Feel free to download Fortunes; I'll maybe be adding it to download.com as well, but I don't know.
Well, I've been gone for a while haven't I...
Sorry 'bout that, just haven't had time, well,
maybe I have but...
I'll see you when I see you, but I don't know when
I can bring myself to update the page next.
Changed the Site-Navigation today, the new design is
just a hell of lot easier to change. Having just one
file to edit and all. Also added the random quote above.
Still haven't figured out how to optimize the Mods-page,
gonna go to Microsoft's html-reference site and look, bye.
LATER
Well, the mods-page is "optimized" (better at least),
when you click on a Listen-link the song starts
to play in a popup-window, Jah bless Javascript...
Added some more quotes to the random-quote engine as
well;
most of them taken from the quotes in the Linux User's Guide
and the Linux System Administrator's Guide.
Both of which are available at
ftp://www.ibiblio.org, and at many
other anonymous-ftp sites.
Oh, removed the stolen dictionary as well, just taking
up space, slowing down the page etc etc.
As you can see, I've changed the design a bit (well,
if you're using a browser which doesn't support css,
you might not've noticed, 'cause it'll look the same
for you). Also added a few new mods, going to add a
help section as well. Tell me how you like the new
design, which by the way brings the grotto up to v 1.5.
LATER
Uploaded even more MOD:s, I'm not quite satisfied with
the design of the mod-page yet, but it's getting
there; it's a bit slow, but I'll try to figure out
how to optimize it. Going to edit the wallpaper-section now, so I'll see you later.
LATER
Boy, I'm getting a lot of work done today; just edited
the Wallpapers-page, tried to get it to look a little bit more like the Mods-page.
Got myself a new e-mail address as well:
amiga_grotto@angelfire.com . Thought it'd be
nice to just have a link on the page, instead of you having to memorize the address.
LATER
Christ, I'm a productive motherf*****, ain't I...
As you can see further down this page, I've stolen a
dictionary of Amiga terms from nethkin.com/bmori/amiga. I'm intending it to become a new feature;
every now and again I'll give you a little taste of
some Amiga (maybe even LINUX!!!) page on the net,
just for the fun of it. This one is great, be sure to check out the rest of the site; it's everything you need
to now about AmigaDOS (as we used to say...)
Well, I've finally moved this section into an <iframe>
instead of a <span>, should greatly improve
compatibility with other browsers than just IE 5.x.
Also moved the css stuff into it's own file, which is linked
from each page, cuts the size of the pages a bit.
You may have noticed that I've changed the logos as well,
just thought it'd be nice with a cleaner design on the logos;
it's also more similar to the logos on my poetry site
[Art/Grotto].
No new wallpapers as yet, also still no mods,
but I'll try to get some work done today, or tomorrow.
LATER
Mods section added, to listen to the tracks through your
browser you need to download the mod-player from the link
on the Mods-page. The downloadable files are in .zip format.
Finally got the wallpaper section up, also removed some dead links. The wallpapers aren't that good, but it's the best I could do in two days. Also divided the Links Page into three sections: Amiga, Linux and Windows. Some minor editing done on all pages today. See you later. And no, I haven't forgotten about the game-music section I was thinking about, I just have to collect the mods, and maybe a mod-player which is integratable with most browsers. Oh, almost forgot, Indy 3 and Stuntcar Racer will not be uploaded in any forseable future, visit Le Chuck's Amiga Supergamez or Amiga Mania they'll probably have them, if they don't, check their links sections. See you later...
Well, more computer problems, they're fixed now,
so I won't get into that here. Going to start working
on the wallpapers today, needless to say all the nice
ones I had are lost; made a couple today though.
Have to get over to
evrsoft.com
right now and download 1st page for the ten
millionth time, see you later.
Had to format my HD again, so the QNX-wallpapers I
had made are gone...
However, after reinstalling Windows I also installed
Slackware Linux 7.1;
haven't really gotten the hang of
it yet, but it's seems really good- forget everything I've
said about QNX- get slack...
I'll try to get the Wallpaper section up and running soon.
My computer's been down for a couple of days, so haven't
been able to upload anything.
I'm thinking about adding some wallpapers and startup-screens,
especially some nice amiga ones; but until I do, be sure to
visit
T-bone's Amiga Stuff for Windows.
Also, visit
QNX.com and get the QNX Realtime Platform, a really
neat OS, they have a 1.44 MB demo-version if your just
curious. I'm going to add some QNX wallpapers and
startup-screens also, if I ever get around to it; in the
mean time, visit
QNXstart.com
, they have a few nice wallpapers.
Added the
Amiga.org newsfeed at the bottom of this page.
Thinking about adding some mods with game-music, we'll
see.
Still no Indy 3 or Stunt Car Racer, downloading some
games right now, and my connection's a bit sketchy, so
maybe tomorrow; or, we'll see.
Uploaded most of the games now, Indy 3 and Stunt Car Racer still to come, maybe tonight.
Uploaded the NDK, so enjoy. The games still to come.
LATER
Edited the design a little, still no games.
Some files uploaded now: WinUAE, dpaintIV, Cruise for Corpse,
and the Archivers. The Kickstarts and Workbench will be
uploaded later today, or tomorrow.
LATER
Uploaded WinFellow, Kickstarts and Workbenches, and
DICE a couple of minutes ago. I'm changing a few things right
now, so I'll upload the NDK and the games
later.
16:00 CET
Some minor editing done yesterday/today, added this section
for example; this will be where I write about whatever's on
my mind.
The files can still not be downloaded, sorry 'bout that, just
haven't had the time to upload them, maybe I'll have time to
upload them tonight.
19:20
Back again, uploaded a couple of files, but it's taking
so much time I had to quit (I wanna keep my hair, you know).
But have patience, maybe later today, or tomorrow, or
saturday, maybe sunday- we'll see.
Well, well, well, it's finally finished.
Welcome one and all to the grotto, I'm hoping
to
provide you with everything you need to get started with
Amiga emulation.
The files on the Software and Games pages can not be
downloaded
yet, haven't had time to upload them, maybe tomorrow.
