The Cleveland Mafia also known as the Scalise Crime Family was at one point considered nearly dead by the FBI. The Cleveland Mafia originated like many other LCN families through bloodshed. The Cleveland Mafia would go on to become a force to be reckoned with within the Mid-West. John Scalise, the gangster who the family's name bears, was a good boss on one hand as he steered the ship in the correct direction and avoided much FBI scrutiny during his reign. However, Scalise would not make any new members during the tail end of his reign leading to a diluted Mafia Family. The family was further devastated by an Irish gangster by the name of Danny "the Irishman" Greene who would go to war with the LCN as well as operate as a top echelon informant for the FBI. Between Greene leaking information to the FBI and the long-bloody war in Cleveland the Cleveland Mafia was hunted by the FBI. Angelo "Big Ange" Lonardo the family's Acting Boss and official Underboss would also turn state's evidence leading to an even large blow in the family. The family has been ressurected recently under the leadership of Joe "Loose" Iacobacci, Jr. (now semi-retired) and Russel "R.J." Papalardo, ironically these are the two men who were "made" by Angelo Lonardo.
