Trading
Daltina:
Major Exports: Food products (especially fruits, vegetables and bread but
also lamb, ham and fish) produced all over, particularly in the south and
north west.
Seconary Exports: Fine wines and ale produced primarily in the south west,
weapons (including well made pikes and crossbows) primarily near the centre,
some Iron Ore in the north east, diamonds from La Quista and healers from
Daltina.
Major Needs: Wood (Dalinians settle all their land, unfortunately this leaves
little space for large woodland areas.)
Seconary Needs: Most metals, food stuffs (beef), Incense, spices, magickal
spells, glass and granite.
Dem. Republic of Hriemalis:
Major Exports: Iron, coal and fish (the mining of the iron and coal of the
dwarves is a primary export since other kingdoms have limited access to the
dwarven kingdom. The fish is plentiful along the radiant shores of Hriemalis
and so easily exported)
Secondary Exports: Fine arts and crafts, (the halflings are excellent craftsmen
and they produce some of the finest wares in the land.)
Major needs: Lumber, and food (the rolling plains and standing mountains
make horrible farmland so they are usually in short supply of food and lumber.
Secondary needs: Wines and mithril (everyone wants mithril since it is so
rare they have their own, but one can never have enough. Wines are just nice
to have)
Sylrosyan Elven Confederation:
Major exports: Food (the entire country is luush and green everywhere, making
it the best place to grow many different crops. Farms are set up all over
the land next to villages, who sell their crops to merchants from nearby
towns.)
Secondary Exports: Lumber, weapons(Because of the forest around them, they
are able to produce a great amount of lumber. The use the wood to build staves,
arrows, and bows.)
Major Needs: Metals (although the forest has helped the elves in many ways,
it still does not make for good mining. The elves wouldn't dare ruin the
beauty of their home to build mines, so they rely heavily on trade for metals.)
Secondary Needs: Runes (There are a few towers in the palace area for producing
runes. Though it is enough to get by, much more are needed in case wars break
out.)
Dwarven Kingdom of Dargis:
Major exports: Steel implements. (That's the nice name, to be crude, its
weapons, armor, bows, shields, war equipment... what can I say? Dwarves _are_
known for their smelting and forging capabilities.)
Secondary Exports: Ore (well mined ore. Self-explainatory.)
Major Needs: Food. (Being generally more engaged in pursuing other matters,
dwarves aren't good farmers.)
Secondary Needs: Runes (dwarves are not good magic-users. So, like with food,
they don't really bother themselves with the art. Even thus, they do keep
a stockpile, and maintain healthy trade for detecting ore mines.)
Orckish Assembly:
Major exports: None really. Trade is not a big thing in Orc society. If you
want it, you beat the guy senseless until you get it. Very simple.
Major Imports: Trade in the Orc nation is non-existant. The Orcs obtain all
thier needs through raiding and plunder. However, Orcish armor and battle
axes are the best known to the world. Although the only way to get them is
to kill the Orc that is wearing it.
Needs: Orcs don't rely heavily on trade as the other nations, as Orcs can
make do with what the plunder.
The Nesocratic Federation of Eunesia:
Major exports: Various products of the oceans. The fishing fleets of Eunesia
bring in huge amounts of fish, especially cod, which are smoked, salted and
then sold to the urban masses of the mainland.
Aquaculture provides a large amount of kelp for export, and the Eunesian
whalers provide a supply of oil and ivory that is always in demand.
Secondary Exports: The oyster beds surrounding the Eunesian islands are a
source of oysters along wiht the much rarer, mystical, sea opals.
Craftsmen on the various islands of Eunesia are famous for their carvings,
mainly in wood and ivory. The monasteries of the island of Anos are famous
for illuminated manuscripts.
Major Needs: Metals, the islands are not particularly rich in metals and
thus import most of their metal goods and ores.
Secondary Needs: Luxury goods, such as wines and silks are always in demand
by the merchants and wealthier Eunesians and arent produced locally.
The Kingdom of Eutopia:
Major exports: Runes.... The Scholarly Eutopians mass produce thousands of
runes daily and stockpile them for trade and for their own uses.
Secondary exports: Precious metals and gems. By magically excavating the
mountainous area of Eutopia the Eutopians have discovered gems and metals
of the highest quality...however these high quality metal and jewels are
rare and the Eutopians can not depend fully on them for trade
Major imports: Food. The mountanous country of Eutopia produces allmost no
food......Sea food is even more scarce because of the Ice burgs that flow
down the sea current past the barbarian lands and onto the Eutopian border.
Secondary imports: Weaponry. While the Eutpoians do mines metals they do
not make their own weapons...However because they are mostly a magical nation
they do not need the mundane weapons to badly.
Republic of Luctdonum
Primary Exports- Fish and other sea creatures; Luxury goods such as porcelain
and tapestries. Lux functions as trading center and a factory where raw materials
are turned into expensive trinkets.
Secondary Exports- Sea Salt, dried on the sands. The biological need for
salt ensures a thriving trade.
Primary Imports- Raw materials (stone, lumber, ores) The mainland, and the
islands especially, are almost devoid of minerals, and most of the good lumber
is controlled by the shipbuilding guilds.
Secondary Imports- Food. The lack of minerals translates into poor soil.
