By:Tanooki
This tutorial will teach you how to make those trendy spikes on Adobe Photoshop.

▪Step 1: Open up your Adobe Photoshop and create a new image with a white background. Make sure the mode or color setting is set to 'RGB Color' and not 'Grayscale'.

▪Step 2: At the bottom of your layer box press the button that would create a new layer. (See image below)

▪:Step 3: Find the 'lasso tool' and right click it. Select the 'Polygonal lasso tool'. (see image below)

▪:Step 4: Using the 'Polygonal lasso tool', create spikes by clicking to stop and make a point. You should have a spiky image like the one showned below. Make sure that beginning and endpoint of your shape meet.
▪:Step 5: Pick a color in the color chooser. (Click the color box once to make a menu pop out so you can pick your selected color.) Click on the 'Paint Bucket Tool'.

▪:Step 6: Fill in that spiky selected area with the Paint Bucket Tool. It should look like this. (It is best to use a dark shade of color than a lighter one).
▪Step 7: On the top where your menu bar is. Go to layer>duplicate layer. Then click on the move tool.
▪Step 8: Using the move tool, move the image on this new layer over to the side a bit.
▪Step 9: Go to your layer box and change the opacity level.
▪Step 10: You can repeat steps 7-9 until you are satisfied with your picture. The end results should like a bit like this.
