We are newly-weds, although we'd been together for more that 2 years, we decided to get married on Ricque's birthday (November 6th. 1997). We each have other Home Pages on the Net but desired to have a page to share together. Thus, we are here....
We are very much at home on the Net because we met while on-line. Linda was living in Indianapolis, IN. and Ricque was in Richmond, VA. when we began to chat while on a Prodigy Chat area. We found each other in a room which involved other members of the television and radio media. After a few sessions, we discovered that we had many areas of interest in common including (but not limited to) writing, education, philosophy, music, metaphysical phenomena, psychology, and family. From typing on-line to keeping the long distance phone lines humming, we formed a bond that we both realized would last forever.
We believe that long lasting love is possible to find for two individuals who have met in mid-life if both parties vow to make the commitment necessary to share their lives in harmony together.
We exchanged our vows in a quiet ceremony in a lovely church on a serene Thursday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. The Popular Springs Baptist Church, nestled in the beautiful woods of suburban Richmond, Virginia was the perfect setting for the ceremony.
The minister expressed our own thoughts when he proclaimed, "The dynamic flow of love is the heart of marriage. It is the challenge to create an atmosphere of freedom in which persons can develop their potentials. It is a working together in an attitude of service for common goals. It is a union of persons which respects individuality; a covenant of love which accepts weaknesses as well as strengths. It is the taking of another person completely into consideration. It is a companionship which involves mutual commitment and responsibility".
Feelings and words have always been important to both of us. Especially because we met on-line and shared out thoughts and dreams openly with each other. Through our Home Page, we hope we have expressed our warmth and love to all who visit here.
