There are so many things that are bothering me about the new charges of child molestation against Michael Jackson. Let me say off the bat that I believe Michael to be innocent! I believed him to be innocent in 1993. For a report see GQ Article Was Michael Jackson Framed? (Avaialbe at Steve Harvey's Official Websight) What is so bothersome to me is that we are being told through the media that Michael has been molesting a cancer victim who has come to Michael's home at Neverland Ranch to visit Michael through an organization called Make A Wish Foundation. Michael over the years has had busloads of children and adults to Neverland Ranch so having children at Neverland Ranch is nothing new. We are told through the media that Michael begins to drug his victim with a mixture of wine and drugs that is called "Jesus Juice" and then Michael molests the victim. We are also told by the media that this victim and his family are also being held hostage by Michael and his staff! WOW! I mean this is really scary stuff! I don't mean to make light of it but lets see the facts as we are told from the media! Now remember I am just blogging here and this is not set in stone! These are just some concerns I have in my own mind that I am confused about! After all Michael Jackson is being accused of a crime of the most degrading kind so I want to make sure that the facts are straight concerning this case! The media has come out and told us that this cancer victim was told by Michael that he could come see Michael AFTER he is better from his cancer. On the Martin Bahir interview Michael has said on camara and with the backing of this cancer victim that it was the boy's own Dr that has given glowing reports about Michael Jackson and has stated that "if it weren't for Michael (the boy) would have been dead." Michael said that the family was planning his funeral! This would indicate that this boy was still seeing his Dr otherwise how could such a statement be made by this boy's Dr and why would the Dr give Michael the credit! Which leads me to my next question. If in fact this boy WAS still under the Dr's care why didn't the mother tell this boy's Dr that her and her son and family were being held hostage at Neverland Ranch and that her son was being fed "Jesus Juice" and that he was being molested? For that matter why didn't the Dr find signs of molestation or drugs in this child's body? After all the Dr would have had to examine the boy and blood would have been routinely drawn during this child's visits so why didn't the drugs and booze show up in the blood tests? IF the Dr had seen booze and drugs NOT prescribed by him in the blood of his patient namely this cancer victim then he would have questioned this boy and his mother! The Dr in turn would have had to call CPS and make a complaint (by law he would have had to call) Instead CPS was the last to be called in this case! I find that strange! Again with the family being held hostage at Neverland Ranch. This just isn't sitting well with me! We are told by Ed Bradley of 60 minutes that he was to do an interview last February with Michael and that he waited with this mother and her kids in Michael's kitchen alone! They were eating donuts! According to Ed Bradley they were singing the praises of Michael. Why? If Michael was actually stuffing this kid full of drugs and booze to molest him and holding this family hostage even threatening them and in walks Ed Bradley from 60 minutes with a whole camara crew are you going to be singing the praises of Michael? Not me! I'm going to be thinking "Hey here's my chance to get me and my kid's outta here! Let me fill Ed's ear with what's REALLY going on here!" Instead they are eating donuts with Ed and talking about Michael in a positive way! Ed himself said they were alone in the kitchen so this would indicate that no one was around to threaten them! Besides IF Michael was really molesting a kid AND feeding him with booze and drugs AND holding this kid and his family hostage is he going to invite Ed Bradley in for an interview? Is he going to allow Ed Bradley ALONE with this family? I don't think so! Again another interview this time with Martin Bashir. This one took 8 months to video tape and this boy and his family was visitng during the time of this taping and again sang the praises of Michael on camara. Yeah Michael was with them but again I will ask. If YOUR kid was being pumped with booze AND pills AND being molested ON TOP of having cancer AND was on his death bed AND you were being held hostage AND being threatend by Michael's staff as was reported by the media....let me catch my breath...are you going to sing the praises of someone who would treat you in such a horrid way? Again NOT ME! I'd a been filling the camara up with what was going on. "Hey Martin, Michaels feeding my kid booze and pills and he is molesting my kid and we are being held hostage here at Neverland Ranch...someone call the cops!" What could Michael have done at that point? It's on tape! Instead they are singing the praises of Michael. Then we are told that the mother contacted Jaimie Massada from the Laugh Factory Comedy Club in Las Vegas. She informs him that she is being held hostage. Why didn't he call the cops? For that matter why was she able to call Jamie from Neverland Ranch but couldn't dial 911? Instead he comes out publically and tells us that she is so poor and can't afford blankets! I find this hard to believe! After all we are told that she had sued JC Penny for a reported $168,000! That's a good chunk of change! Guaranteed she would have had to pay for lawyer fees but she still would have been left with some money! Enough to buy blnkets at least! Instead it was reported that she and her kids once lived in a barn! We are also told that her now ex-husband gives her money every month. We are also told she is working! Why can't she afford blankets? Blankets were just on sale at Wal-Mart for $5.00 at Christmas time. I just picked up a couple myself! I find this whole mess so trifling! We are told by the media that this mother of the boy said her now ex-husband hit the children and abused her. We are also told that when she sued JC Penny she said her ex never hit the children! The DA told the media she is credible! I find that incredible! It seems at least to me that this woman has contridicted her story! It seems to me that the media is also planting stories. For example this Vanity Fair article in which Maureen Orth has reported about another child drinking booze with Michael. Incidently, Jermaine Jackson himself has come out and said Michael doesn't even drink! This time however the boy now 18 came out and called the Vanity Fair Article a lie. It seems funny to me that the media would take such gross advantage of the gag order that is in place-spinning such tales! Entertainment Tonight has shown us the tape of a former Michael Jackson employee who has sworn up and down that she has seen Michael in compromising situations with children. What E.T. hasn't told it's viewers is that the tape is about 10 years old and this former employee was fired by Michael and that under a deposition by a lawyer of Michael she confessed that she was paid by the old televison show Hard Copy to say those lies about Michael! I am discouraged by what the news and media is saying about Michael. It isn't right and it isn't fair! The media always puts such a negative spin on things! Even everyday things! Like today! It rained where I live. The media made it sound as if the world was about to end simply because it rained! "Look at this water really pile up!" One reporter got out of the car and actually stood in a puddle that covered the top of her boots! To listen to any of them you would think we just had a hurricane! "People are so discouraged by the rain." They didn't actually interview anyone who said they were discouraged. It seems that we are just suppose to sit in front of the news like mindless idots taking in everything they say like it's the Gospel! I actually went out in the rain today! I went and did some shopping, went to lunch with my husband, and made it back home! Guess what media? I survived! The earth didn't swallow me up. I wish the meia would stop reporting the news in this fashion. It seems so unethical. Bias journalsim isn't reliable at all really! Out and out lieing really isn't journalsim either! I can't help but feel that the media has forgotten about thier audience and are just talking to each other! The war for ratings is on and each new story about Michael gets juicer! I for one am not buying any of it! In fact I have turned off the news! I stopped my satelite televison and canceled my subcription to T.V. Guide! Why should I pay to be lied to? Since the cancellation of both my satelite dish and the TV Guide I now have moeny to do other things with...like go out ot lunch with my husband on rainey days! Lisa Cabello
