Since
I was young I always wanted to become something great that everyone looked up
to. The ideas I had ranged from a real life Superman all the way up to a
computer programmer. Well, as the years progressed I decided the real life
Superman wouldn’t work so I found one of my many upcoming goals in life, to become
a professional working in the field of modern day technology. I bought my own
computer and started trying to make websites, but that took too long and I ran
out of idea for websites. After the loss of interest in websites, I moved on to
gaming. For one year or so I began making levels for a game called Half-Life. I got through about a half of
level and once again lost interest. I didn’t know what I was going to do, so I
did something I have never done before, got a job.
June 4, 2003 marked that day I became a workingman. I went to my very first
interview of my life and was, as you can guess, nervous. I felt like I was
doing everything wrong, but I guess I was wrong. Once I finished my little
speech about why I wanted to work at Carl’s Jr. the manager said, “I want to
offer you a position on our staff.” I wanted to jump up and down and spin in
circles, but I didn’t. I went home and called all my family members and told
them about my new job and they were all excited for me. I even told one of my
three cats that live with me at my mom’s house.
I have held this job since then and I’m still going. It has been almost eight months and I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. About a month ago, my boss, Ali, gave me keys to the store and told me to run the floor. I liked running the floor because that meant I was in charge, which is illegal because I’m only six-teen, but what ever. I work a lot, more than most high school students. I don’t care though because my paychecks that I get range from three to four hundred dollars and since I’m buying a new car here in the near future, I have to have all the money I can get. On my days off, I either go visit my mom up in Shingle Springs, or stay at my dads. My parents are divorced and since I go to school at Oakmont in Roseville, I live with my dad most of the time. Now that you know a lot about me, ill leave it at that and let you know more as time passes bye.
