I don't know what to attribute this,
but it is either "getting back to TX with a vengance" or "the
re-discovery of TX".
After living in VA for three years, I found my way back to TX. My first major race was the Halliburton Half Marathon, where I came close to breaking my PR on 13.1 miles. I ran a 1:25:59, about 25 seconds shy of breaking my 1999 PR.
But, the Motorola Half Marathon, in Austin, TX, was nice to me. I ran a 1:22:51 ... a 6:19 pace!! That definitely beat my 1999 PR of 1:25:35 or 6:32 pace.
Talk about satisfaction!!
