It has been a pitifully long time since I posted anything. Between work and life, 2007 is already half gone. Hope your year has been good so far. I have short stories and more chapters for the works in progress, just not enough hours in the day to throw them up here. If any of you are still with me, here are two short pieces to read. They were both written for Radclyffe's author challenges but only posted on that list. Hopefully I will be able to get back here on a regular basis again. Thanks for stopping by and reading. |
How did it get to be August already? Hope you enjoyed your summer. I'm posting chapter 4 of Dog Star and chapter 2 of Eden's Shore. If I don't loose the rest of the year, Harvest Moon, Eden's Shore and Dog Star are going to be completed by Thanksgiving or before. |
Happy 4th of July. I'm tossing up a couple of short pieces here tonight. One is a Halloween themed romance titled Airtight. It doesn't have any really steamy scenes, but I hope you read it anyway. The other is titled Blue Lights and is kind of a different style for me. I wrote it for a specific submission call, so it might be slightly more...ahh...erotic than my usual stories. |
Here's another short piece I submitted to a publisher yesterday. You know the drill; if it's accepted I take it down until after the anthology comes out, so read it now while you can...if you want. |
Don't you hate it when I post something new instead of adding chapters to the stories I already have started? Well, tell you what...I am posting the first chapter of a new long story, but I have other chapters to post for Harvest Moon, Leather and Dog Star as soon as I get them formatted, probably next week. I've had some unexpected health issues to deal with lately along with the usual family stuff. That's my excuse for taking so long between postings. Plus I have been submitting short stories for print anthologies, three of which I have to finish by this weekend. In what will most likely be an exercise in humility due to the probable lack of participants, I am adding an Updates Group button. That's just in case there are people out there who are tired of checking in to see what's new. Anyway, in the meantime have a look at chapter one of Eden's Shore and tell me what you think. Happy Easter and Happy Spring everyone. |
My poem, Blink, appeared in the December issue of Just About Write. You can also read it here.Blink I'm also posting a short story called Julianna that I submitted for publication. We'll see if they take it or not. Oh, and the anthology that Season Pass was published in has been out long enough that I think I can put it back up here now. |
Thanks to Nann Dunne for featuring my poem Common Thread in her November issue of Just About Write You can also read it here.Common Thread |
Here is another short story called Draft. I wrote it for Radclyffe's Travel Tales AC. Race tracks, fast cars and interesting women. |
I wrote this short piece before the devastation of Katrina. I debated on posting it because the real hurricane was so heart breaking. But I decided to go ahead and put it up here thinking maybe someone would get some enjoyment from it. My prayers are still with all those from the Gulf Coast. |
Hey. Here are the first chapters of two new stories. I'm going to post every week with these, so you won't be left dangling. |
Ok, so if you've been coming here for any length of time you should know by now that if I say I'll be back in a week, it's probably really going to be more like two..or three. Anyway, I'll be back in a week to post some more, but for now here is a short piece you can read. The title is Long Road Home, and it may not be up here for long because it might have a home elsewhere soon. |
Humor me here and read all of this before you go off willy-nilly and read the new story post. The first story I ever attempted writing was Dog Star. That was nearly 3 years ago and I never went back to it for reasons I can't explain. Maybe I just got enamoured with the other 2 manuscripts I'm working on, plus the short stories I keep writing every so often. Anyway, several people have been wanting me to continue with Dog Star, so I managed to write another chapter. I did however, make some changes to the first 2 chapters. Nothing drastic, with the exception of changing the first name of one of the main characters. Sorry if that bothers you, but I'm sticking with it. You might want to re-read the first part before you go on to the next. I have made up my mind to finish this story, but I probably won't until after September because of other commitments I have. Chapter 3 is raw, not beta read yet, so don't get all worked up if you find errors. Let me know and I'll see to them. Thanks for reading and putting up with me. Oh, and I bought the domain name of lcjordan.com Now that might not excite you, but I get a kick out of typing it in and coming here. I'll transfer the site sometime soon hopefully and get rid of the pop up ads.

See, I'm back in less than a week to post another story. This is another of Radclyffe's author challenge pieces that I wrote, with the subject of Private Pleasures-Public Passions. |
Yeah, I know I wasn't back in a week to post another story. I've been busy and that's my only defense. How about a Valentine's theme here in summertime? Oh just read it. |
I had to remove the short story Season Pass for now until after September. It has been accepted for publication in the new anthology Stolen Moments: Erotic Interludes and Bold Strokes Books asked that I take it down. I will put another one up in its place sometime this week. |
I added two new short stories today.... Perfect Harmony Season Pass |
I am going to be making some changes(hopefully for the better)to this site over the next few weeks. You do get an update though. Radclyffe let me participate in her Author's Challenge #6 "Fantasyland - from Dreaming to Dreams-Come-True". The short story I contributed is called Confessions After Midnight and if you aren't on the Radlist, this is the only other place it will be posted. I also added a couple of poems, In A Pickle and Handle With Care. You can read them here. |
Thanks again to Nann Dunne for featuring my poem Deep in her December issue of Actually, the month of December got away from me, so this is the best I can do for an update this week. Hope all of you had a blessed Christmas followed by a peaceful New Year. |
Thanks to Nann Dunne for featuring my poem Cover Me in her November issue of Nann and Lori Lake put out a great monthly magazine, so take a look when you get a chance. |
Yeah, I know.....all this time and the only thing I manage to post is a new poem? Oh just read it anyway. In my defense I can just say that hopefully this will be the start of some sort of regular postings, including the stories I have left dangling. |
