Juve take point at the Bernebau
After a very exciting end to end game at the Bernebau, Juventus vs Real Madrid ended 1-1. Denny Landzaat opened the scoring with a shot from a tight angle to give Juventus the lead and mark his first goal for the club since
leaving Newcastle a month ago. This was after Juventus captain Igor Tudor got sent off after only four minutes, reducing the team to only ten men for 90 minutes and exposing the defense all game, reducing the back line to
three individuals, Alessandro Mancini, Kevin Sanasy and Jurgen Colin. They held the line admirally until the 65th minute where Real defender Denvers scored on a break to draw the teams even.
We asked Rob Dalling what he thought, this is what he had to say to us ;-
"Well some points of the game i was happy with, i thought Willy Gueret and Joca played magnificantly, with also Denny Landzaat putting in a good performance, getting his first goal for the club to send us into the lead.
But a couple of players were shocking today, in the shape of Lee Trundle and Igor Tudor. Two of the most relyed apon players in recent seasons for this team both cant do their jobs, fucking discraseful. Trundle missed so many today, he knows hes responsible for Angelos Charisteas until next season so Charisteas gets his experience, and he performs like that. Ill be having a word with him for sure, and as for Igor, im very dissapointed, hes the captain and he gets himself booked twice in four minutes, i dont think thats leading by example, it now leaves us stretched in defense again, which may lead to us having to buy players in temporarily again.
Last signings of the season for Juventus
During a press conference about a month ago Dalling promised that he only had five more signings to make before Juventus' season came to an end. Being a man of his word, that is exactly what he did. He told us previously about
the signing of defender Bruno N'Gotty, but he was yet to tell us four more.
Another press conference was held in front of the media and this is what he had to tell us.
Dalling ;- "Yep ive made my four signings. The first deal was for Lazio's defender Alessandro Faiolhe Amantin Mancini. To get this guy on board i lost two guys, Traianos Dellas who found himself iscolated at the back due to the
arrival of Phillipe Christanval, and a guy John Walker wanted to seal the deal, my young blue chipper Alan Tate, treated correctly that guy will have a great future, but to get the squad moving along nicely i needed to make this move, so Alan will now have be playing his football at Lazio.
The second player i aquired was another blue chipper, in the form of young 22 year old portugese striker Luciano Da Silva. I purchased him from Sporting Lisbon for what i thought was a bargain of 1 million, he'll be one
for the future.
Third one was Bratislav Ristic who i aquired from Club Brugge for two million, hes initially here to sit on the bench with a defensive midfield quality which can change a game, but at 23 if used properly he can turn into a real superstar.
My final signing was a young Spanish defender named Albert Munoz, originally bought for cover for the suspended Bruno N'Gotty, playing a cameo role on the bench, but hes still young at only 23, and can really be one for the future, so i may decide to drop him into the reserves to improve him for the future."
Porto Juventus rivalry takes an interesting turn
Tensions are said to be at at their peak today following Neil Stewarts recent comment about Juventus.
Stewart - "Juventus have a good squad but one day we will beat them. As for this season it could be a good time for us to get back up in the premiership, if they get relegated and we get promoted who knows, Lee Trundle might like to go back in the premiership".
Dalling heard about this later on in the day and this was his response.
"God Neil Stewart has jokes, firstly he thinks he can get to the Premiership this season, then he says hes going to poach our top scorer Trundle off us, Trunds has just signed a contract to commit himself to Juventus for the next seven seasons, not to mention the fact he loves it here and has no intention of moving to Portugal.
As for Premiership aspirations Neil, dream on, your going down to the basement Divisions, in Division 2, your only chance to "beat" Juventus as you say is to draw us in one of the cups, but then i would want to play Juventus if i was you, you'll get a good pasting."
Grax impresses in reserves
Juventus new signing Sebastian Grax, who had been a Monaco goal getter before joining Juventus, was used in the same was as Richard Doyle was using him, in the reserves this season, but he continues to impress, having scored
in his Juventus reserve debut, giving them the lead against Club Brugge.

The game ended with Juventus U21's beating Club Brugge 3-0.We asked manager Rob Dalling, what he thought of his new signing in the reserves, he gave us a few words.
"This guy is awesome, at twenty years of age this is set to be my most profitable investment. It cost me alot to get this guy, losing the sought after Giorgas Karagounis and Steve Severin, but i plan to groom him until hes 22, perhaps 23 before he recieves his first ever first team call up, but
needless to say i am extremely happy with him, he is also a nice young man with a good attitude and is happy to fit in with my plans for him. He is also doing great internationally, hes continuing to bang in the goals for France U20, and is highly-rated by all watchers of the game. My advice to you is to Look out for this guy at the European tournament in Lichenstein, and of course in our reserves every week".
Juventus vs Brugge, Before and After
It was announced that the teamsheet for Juventus against Club Brugge this week would see Bruno N'Gotty and Denny Landzaat make their debuts, in the mix with goalkeeper Willy Gueret, Captain Igor Tudor, defenders Phillipe Christanval and Jurgen Colin. It is reported that Sebastian Grax will be being sent to the reserves while Andy Robinson, Franciancios Siriex and Niklas Skoog fit through the middle, while Lee Trundle plays up front
partnering Angelos Charisteas.

Following the game, we talked to a happy Rob Dalling, he had the following to tell us the game and other matters.
"Great win for the lads today, puts us on 7 points, getting off bottom spot at the expense of Lazio who are still on 5, and now on the same points as Bayern Munich. Very pleased with every single players performance on the pitch. Bit of a let down in the first half when Denny (Landzaat) went down
injured, but when i put on another of my new signings Bjarny Ristic fair play to the lad he took his oppertunity and didn't let the team down, hitting the post towards the end. Also as bit of a kick in the teeth when our captain Igor Tudor went down injured, but the player i brought on in
Phillipe Christanval had a hell of a game, being one of the goalscorers and also being sold as a rock at the back at the same time. He made me regret putting him on the bench i tell thee. He turned out to be proper bo. Had a word with the physio, he said there was no worries about long term injuries, both are said to be very minor and they will be fit by the time we visit AC Milan next week. Niklas (Skoog) also i need to commend for giving us the lead and all round well performance as well as Robbo, Siriex, Joca and Colin,
also a very good debut from Bruno N'Gotty, he showed great potential. I have had a word with Trunds about his poor performance today, he told me he understands he missed alot of opportunities and will try a lot harder next
time, understanding he is responsible for carrying Angelos Charisteas this season while he gets his experience. Thanks".
Juventus sign more, yet again
At a press conference this evening, it was announced that Monaco's French 20 year old Attacking Midfielder Sebastien Grax and Dutch 24 year old Newcastle Attacking Midfielder Denny Landzaat have signed up for Juventus.
The scene was Grax and Landzaat holding up shirts, with Dalling between them posing for the photos, although this time Dalling wasent greeted by applause, but yet laughter. Dalling once said that he would be only making five deals this season , but in order to sign these two players, he is up to twelve.
Dalling had commented for a long time he would sign these two players, and it proves that he has done, in alot of stages, which he explained.
Dalling - "Okay, enough of the heckling, maybe i've had to deal a bit more than i expected, but its all worked out for the good of the team. Ill explain the steps which i took to sign these two long sought after players, i'd be taking notes if i was you. Firstly i negotiated with Mr Doyle at Monaco, this deal was Karagounis, Severin, DeWulf for Sebastien (Grax) Dede and Five Million pounds. You may ask how i got DeWulf in the first place however, well i got him from a deal which was agreed by myself and Dave Mckay at PSG which was DeWulf and Barry for Dede and Patrick Paauwe. I then went on to sign Denny Landzaat from Mr Fred Wilkens at Newcastle, for Gareth Barry and Galletti. Im glad my long term plan finally worked out, i have an
estimated five more signings to make before the end of the season to make my plan complete, which you will see soon, but for now this is a great deal for myself.
I will be playing Denny as soon as he arrives, he will become a frequent fixture in the Juventus team. He has great talent, scoring seven for Newcastle last season, and he will be looking to relight that form at the Turin."
Later that week Dalling announced one of the remaining five signings he was talking about, with 24 year old French defender Bruno N'Gotty signing for Juventus from Tottenham Hotspurs, with Dalling having let go unsuccessful
David Walton and Eight Million. Also announced was that overlooked 30 year old midfielder Patrick Paauwe has
been sold on a free transfer to David McKay's PSG, following a lack of opportunities.
It was further reported that young twenty year old midfielder Kolar has been sold to Athletico Madrid for 1.2 Million.
Big Deal !
Yet again, Dalling has been active in the transfer market this past fortnight, yesterday announcing a major deal regarding five football players between clubs Juventus and Reading
F. C.
In the press conference, Dalling revealed that superstar 24 year old american defender Carlos Bocanegra, 21 year old english midfielder Carlito Costa and young English 21 year old Striker Michael Symes will be joining the club in a months time in return for recently isolated defender
Trainanos Dellas, unsettled recently purchased midfield player Giorgias Karagounis, player of little chances Patrick Paauwe and 29 year old English striker Darren Town will be heading to Reading.
We asked Dalling for his comments, this is what he had to tell us ;-
"I am greatly pleased with these signings, i had been scouting Carlos Bocanegra for a long time during his time playing in America and since he's joined Reading and have wanted to sign him for a long time, so I'm glad I've eventually got him. Secondly i have got young Michael Symes at a steal in my
opinion, this lad has showed tons of potential, though he has become increasingly unsettled through the past season, being at many clubs, not being given a big break. I see this guy as one for the future, with Alan Tate i will be making sure he works very hard in the reserves increasing his abilities, he might not get his opportunity for a while, like Alan, but in a
few seasons time he should be ready, he will get stability at the Turin,
Thirdly i have young Carlito Costa, who is written in my plans as the eventual replacement of Giorgias, he is not quite at his level yet but at the age of 21 has all the potential in the world, and will be treated correctly in order to see out this potential.
Juve team news
Team news at Juventus this week before the second round clash against Benfica in the European Football Association Cup sees a fully fit squad available for Dalling to select from after a five nil victory last week at the Turin in the last round of the Inter Wing Cup against Borussia Dortmund.
Captain Igor Tudor returns from suspension, which will probably mean Dalling will play a 4-4-2 formation with Angelos Charisteas and Galletti up front with Francasios Siriex, Niklas Skoog and Joca through the middle. Where
Phillipe Christanval, Dave Walton and Keiron Sanasy are likely to cover the back line.
Sanasy signs for Juventus
The scene was Dalling and his new signing Sanasy holding a black and white striped shirt on the Turin pitch this afternoon, revealing the twenty-three year old Argentinian defender as Dalling's new signing.
The deal entailed a trade between Mike McLeod's Deportivo La Coruna and Juventus, which saw Juventus defenders Igor Biscan and Edmilson leave to join their new club Deportivo, and Sanasy joining Juventus.
We asked Rob Dalling for his thoughts about this signing, he gave us the following comments ;-
"Im very excited having brought Sanasy to the Turin, i have been monitoring him for two seasons now and have just been waiting until the team was in the right position to make my move for the lad, and now i could afford to give Mike McLeod an offer worthy enough to persuade Mike to sell me Sanasy, thats exactly what i did, although it meant losing such a duo of quality and success in Igor Biscan and Edmilson, they are utter legends, and i wish them the best of luck at Deportivo, while im hoping Quiroga has a long and
successful career at Juventus".
Third Greek signs on the dotted line
It was all smiles at the Turin this afternoon, as Rob Dalling announced his newest signing who is 27 year old Greek International midfielder Karagounis. Karagounis becomes the third greek to sign for Juventus Football Club following Trainanos Dellas and Angelos Charisteas.
It was reported that Dalling signed Karagounis for a cash fee, Dalling having found him a free agent, due to Juventus' excellent scouting team.
We asked Rob Dalling for further details regarding this deal, this is what he had to tell us ;-
"Yes, i am delighted to have signed Karagounis, it was brought to my attention that he was a free agent, which i was shocked with knowing the success hes achieved in his career, but its my gain having bought him of a steal of 28,000,000 signing on fees. He becomes the third Greek in the team with young Charisteas and defender Dellas, hopefully they might be able to respark their Euro 2004 winning spark to help Juventus find success, but i cannot forget i already have four fantastic midfielders already in the shape of Joca, Siriex, Robinson and Skoog, and Karagounis will have to fight for his place, although i cant see all of them fitting into my plans, i may be sacrificing one of them to strengthen in other areas depending on their performance, but we'll see how it goes".
Juventus Team news
Juventus go into their clash against PSV for the first time playing them since they played them a season ago which was then deciding who got promoted to the Premiership in the Play-offs.
Team news for this week is that Juventus are likely to drop Goalkeeper Garry Walsh after first team pick Neil Conroy has returned from injury.Striker Lee Morris remains out injured, Dalling said in an interview earlier on in the week that it is estimated that he will be out for another three
weeks, still struggling with a hamstring injury, which means it is possible for Dalling to play Greek Angelos Charisteas up front with Lee Trundle, either that or for Rob Dalling to rest Angelos Charisteas and to play Trundle up front by himself with portugese midfielder Joca in tandem.Dalling hinted around in his interview that he was unhappy with Dave
Walton's performance against Aberdeen on the weekend, which leads us to believe that he will be dropped and Phillipe Christanval will be given his debut in black and white.
In other news, 23 year old Alan Tate has been awarded with Juventus reserve Player of the month. Insider tells us that Rob Dalling has ensured him that he has been noticed that hes doing a good job, but hes waiting for him to
develop further in a few seasons time before he gives him his big chance in the first team.
Thirty year old Dutch midfielder Patrick Paauwe has brought it to his managers attention that he has become unsettled in the reserves, he has said that he is better than that and deserves a chance in the first team, for cup
ties if not league games. He has gone on record to say that he did the job for Sturm Graz on loan last season, and also did the job at Pride Park when he used to play for Derby County before he joined Juventus, but he has yet to play one game for the first team of Juventus since joining just over a season and a half ago, he wants his chance.Whether Dalling players this under-rated star is another thing completely, only time will tell.
Morris setback
Juventus suffered a major setback this week, losing their second choice striker Lee Morris for 5 weeks after he limped off inside the first half of the first game of the Inter Wing Cup, where Juventus lost 4-1 to Damien
McCormack's Bayern Leverkusen in a dramatic upset, in which Rob Dalling refused to comment about following the game.
It was later revealed by the Juventus Physio that Lee Morris had pulled his hamstring, and that they would be without his services estimated for just over a month.
This will now be the perfect oppertunity for young 21 year old Greek striker Angelos Charisteas to prove himself to Rob Dalling, as he will now be more likely to get a look in while Morris is out, we managed to get a few comments out of him, this is what he had to say.
Charisteas - " Lee was unlucky to get injured for this period of time, always a strikers nightmare, but this will be my chance to hopefully make so much of an impact that Rob Dalling considers me as more of a consistant first teamer, although i'm not worried. Mr Dalling has managed to fit me
into the games thus far, i managed to get over an hour against Club Brugge, about Quarter of an hour against AC Milan as Mr Dalling explained he had to change strategy due to how the game was panning out, and also i got my first full game against Bayern Leverkusen, clocking up 95 minutes, i just hope to carry on well and continue my steady start, this experience is vital to me".
In other news, it was revealed today that new signing 23 year old Niklas Skoog had arrived to Juventus from Feyenoord and had started training with the players, also Juventus' bank balance got credited with an extra fifteen
million, as part of the deal.Stephen Appiah has also left the club today and joined his new team Feyenoord, everyone at Juventus wished him the best of luck and success for
the future as he departed. It was announced that the second part of the deal where Phillipe Christanval and Gianluca Pessotto changed clubs will take place in a months time.
Dalling signs duo, and loses Superstar
The earth at Juventus was rocked today when Rob Dalling announced in a press conference that he had sold Juventus Legend Stephen Appiah.
The deal stemmed following when Juventus manager recieved a phone call from Feyenoord manager Terry Leighton, stating he had a deal Dalling could not
refuse.
Indeed Rob Dalling found this offer very useful, as it would give his team more options when dealing in future.
As part of the deal for Stephen Appiah, recently iscolated Juventus defender Gianluca Pessotto went to Rotterdam with him in search for first team football to end his career, in return for Swedish international 23 year old midfielder Niklas Skoog, French International 27 year old defender Philippe Christanval as well as 15 million pounds.
Rob Dalling unveiled his new signings at a press conference later on that day, with Niklas Skoog and Philippe Christanval holding up Juventus shirts with their names on.
Dalling - "I would like to welcome Philippe and Niklas to Juventus, im sure they will have a very exciting future at this club, both very accomplished footballers, coming from International backrounds and playing for big teams.
Of course this is the hardest transfer i've ever had to put through, as Stephen Appiah in my opinion is the best player ever to have graced a Juventus pitch, and probably will be for a long long time to come, and also everyone knows how i feel about Gianluca Pessotto, been working with me from
the very start and hes never ever let me down. I wish these guys the best of luck in the future, they will be joining a very exciting prospect of a team at Feyenoord, and also teaming up again with former Juventus striker Allessandro Del Piero".
Juve team news against Leverkusen
The IW cup starts this week and Juventus are going to be playing Bayern Leverkusen on opening day. Insider tells us that new keeper Conroy is expected to be out for the following three weeks so it is probable that fellow new arrival Walsh will fill in to his shoes for the game.
Angelos Charisteas is expected to be fit for the game, after shaking off knee trouble that he experienced against AC Milan on Sunday, but whether he will play or not remains to be seen, with Lee Morris and Lee Trundle both fit for the game. New defensive signing 23 year old Walton may have a very good chance of starting, after we heard that Rob Dalling may be resting some of his first team players for the game against Munich the following week.
New signings arrive at Juventus
New signings from Boston Utd 27 year old goalkeeper Conroy, 23 year old defender Walton and 36 year old goalkeeper Walsh arrived at the Turin today,
after being delayed by various transfer rulings by the board of PBEMFF.
The stars were greeted in a press conference by Juventus Manager Rob Dalling and also Juventus Club Captain Idor Tudor. They welcomed the players and then Idor proceeded to give the following speech.
Tudor - " On behalf of the entire squad of Juventus who could not all be here today and myself i'd like to welcome you to the team, you are all here with jobs to do as you know, and that is to keep the club successful, this is an interesting transfer as im sure you would have noticed when you signed on as you each have big boots to fill in this team, Conroy, you replacing Oliver Kahn, Walsh you replacing Roger Freestone and you young Walton replacing one of the original Juventus members, Lillian Thuram. All tough
jobs, but i know each of you are more than capable of doing so. You might find it intimidating having to be collegues with such superstars who are already at Juventus, but i assure you they are a good bunch of lads and they will make you feel welcome, i wish you the best of luck, and ill see you at
the game on Saturday, when we open the Inter Wing cup against Leverkusen."
Idor Tudor recieved a round of applause and each of the three new signings shook his hand as they walked off with Rob Dalling.
Juventus season begins
Juventus visit the Jan Breydel stadion this Saturday to kick off the season against Premiership favourites Club Brugge in which some say is the toughest Premiership division yet.
This year represents a clean slate for Juventus, having had a tough time last season, only just managing to stay in the Premiership, but Rob Dalling insists, this season will be
significantly different."We had a tough time last season, our team was weak and had downfalls in each position, but i am glad to say i have managed to fix this in time for this season, and now we are stronger than ever, with strength in depth after some wheeling and dealing i did last transfer window. Rob Dalling Laughs.
But yes i do think i have the squad the way i want it this season, we have taken on a few big names which fold into the Juventus system nicely, in the shape of Angelos Charisteas, a Greek Euro 2004 medal winner, who, although lacks experience in this league, i am confident that he will become a star eventually after a seasons playing time, which got proven with Andy Robinson and Jurgen Colin last season. I also feel that it helps that we have someone he knows so well here in his Greek International team mate Trainos Dellas, he has ensured me he will take Angelos under his wing and ensure he performs to his potential this season. We have also signed goalkeeper Conroy and
defender Walton who were involved in the deal between Juventus and Boston in the offseason, but that doesnt apply to our game this week, but they will be arriving ready for week 2 game against JP Thompson's great AC Milan team.
This deal however means that this will be the last appearance for Juventus for Lillian Thuram and Oliver Kahn. Lillian Thuram has been a great server for the club, being here since the very beginning. Furthermore Oliver Kahn leaves after in my opinion saving the club from relegation last season, for me this is a particularly sad one to leave him go, but everyone knows my policy that i keep my squad age as low as possible, and i've had a word with
both Lillian and Oliver and they both respect my decision, and they have ensured me that they will be helping Juventus head in the right direction at the start of the season before they take their final bow in front of the away fans. Although we do go into this tie the underdogs, we have the squad
to take on Brugge, none of the boys are intimidated by some of Dave Suker's big guns, they are focused on whats in hand, and thats knocking Brugge down a peg or two at the first hurdle".
Arrivals and Departures at the Turin
The Transfer window has been active in off season, with Rob Dalling making four deals. Firstly the rumoured departure of Mark Iuliano, talented 32 year old defender who found himself Isolated from the team following him getting overshadowed by new signings of Jurgen Colin and Tranianos Dellas has signed for Neil Stewart's Porto for Four millon.
Secondly, the signing Rob Dalling was entitled to once Inter Milan's Zoff turned out satisfactory to Chinh Nyugens ratings, Rob Dalling signed Oliver Kahn for Ten Million.
Thirdly probably the biggest deal for Juventus saw Oliver Kahn, Roger Freestone, Lillian Thuram, Antonio Madeira and Antonio Luque leave for Boston United, and 23 year old defender Walton and 27 year old Goalkeeper Conroy sign for Juventus.
Lastly tipped off by his greek defender Tranianos Dellas Rob Dalling signed young 21 year old Greek striker Angelos Charisteas.
The scene was happy at the press conference, with Charisteas, Walton and Conroy holding up theyre new Juventus shirts.
Dalling ;- "Im very happy with my three signings, as they each represent the future of Juventus Football Club, in the process to get these players signed on i had to lose Mark Iuliano, Oli Kahn, Big Roger Freestone, Lillian and
the two Antonios, which are significant losses i assure you, but everyone knows the policy is, and has been for the past 3 seasons ive been in charge is strength in youth, i despise any player over 30, so i guess Igor Biscan is worrying".
Turin Rumourmill
Following a rollercoaster ride of a season at Juventus there is rumours circulating of many situations
that could occur at the end of the season.
Rumour is that Mark Iuliano, who has become recently overlooked in the Juventus team has been
linked to a move to Everton and also Porto, it has become apparant that Rob Dalling is looking for four
more million pounds to secure Oliver Kahn stays at the Turin next season, so perhaps this is what he
needs to sell Iuliano for to raise the cash, but only time will tell if the rumours circulating are actually
reality.
Other rumours say that Rob Dalling is now happy to stick with his team and push on for a successful
season next season, with a few minor changes in his depth, possibly signing on another striker and
another midfielder.
Another Rumour circulating is that several teams have been interested in signing midfielder Joca. Rob
Dalling has turned down all bids according to sources and has stated that Joca is a Juventus player for
a long time yet.
Trundle Saves Juventus
Juventus have shown real 'Bouncebackability' this week, after avoiding relegation following a 3-0 win at
the Turin against Porto.
Juve needed the win to stay up, hoping Barcelona would not win at the San Siro where they had the
tough ask of claiming three points from Mr JP Thompson's AC Milan side. They
tried and failed miserably as they went down 5 goals to 1 to seal they're fait that they would be playing
Division 1 football next season. This was a good result for Juventus and Porto however, as the last
survival place all surfaced around the game. Porto needed a draw to stay in the Premiership, where as
Juventus needed the win to stay up, and win they did. This was the game where star striker Lee Trundle
went down in Juventus history as he came out of the tunnel motivated and scored a hatrick of goals in
the first half hour, scoring in the 11th, 20th and 26th minutes.
We caught up with a delighted Rob Dalling after the game, this is what he had to say ;-
"I am absolutely delighted!, i knew these lads could pull it off, everyone wrote Juventus off, lets face it
even the fans turned on me towards the end, but we finally turned the table at the point it mattered and
proved all the critics wrong, we are Premiership quality and it would have been a travisty if we got
relegated. But what a game from Lee Trundle today, scoring a hatrick in the first half hour, in a way i
think this is Lee's way of warning whats about to come, he showed today he has what it takes to be one
of the big goalscorers of next season, and i guarantee he will do it in black and white stripes next
season. But to be fair, everyone played to the best of their ability today, the only substitution i made
was giving young Andy Robinson a run out replacing Lillian Thuram after the game was won
after we went two goals up, i am delighted with everyone today, now im going to go and celebrate with
the lads, exuse me".
Juventus grab lifeline at the San Siro
Juventus shocked the world Saturday night when they defeated AC Milan at the
infamous San Siro by two goals to nil, to help them regain the chance to stay up in the Premiership next
season.
There were many significant moments in the match, one being Juventus' 22 million pound signing in
Trainanos Dellas being stretchered off in the 37th minute.
Juve got a spot of luck in their favour though after Milan's Castelen being sent off following a rough
challenge on Andy Robinson in the 32nd minute. Robinson did not leave this incident put him off
though, as he put Juventus in the lead nine minutes into the second half after a great assist from
Gianluca Pessotto.
Paolo Maldini saw his career end in the 69th minute in the most unfortunate fashion, as he got sent off,
not being able to play again because of the retirement clause all
PBEMFF players must agree to.
But it was in injury time that really stole the show, when new Juventus signing Lee Morris scored on
his debut in the 93rd minute after he'd been brought on for the final 38 minutes off the bench.
We asked Rob Dalling for his comments following this game, he was happy to agree to give some
comments ;-
"Fantastic win, fantastic, very much needed to give us a chance going into the final week with the hope
of staying in the Euro Premiership next season. Our chances are now realistic having to defeat Porto at
the Turin to stay up, hoping that AC Milan can do us the favour of not
leaving Barcelona leave with more than a point, if that happens we will still be in the Prem, and ill be
a very happy man, but we cannot write off Porto at the Turin as they're capability is great, and they
want to stay up as much as we do, which will give us some problems in our quest to get all three points
on Saturday. Barcelona certainly
have the ability to pull off a great performance on the day and if they win, we could win 100 - 0, it
wouldnt matter, they'd have the one point advantage, so thats how close it is, which we will focus on
this week, but firstly, i have to praise Juventus for getting into this position in the first place, this
win was vital today. I am very pleased with the performances of all the players, in particular highlighting
Andy Robinson, great as ever, and furthermore the substitutions i made, Gianluca Pessotto played a
great role in the game, always causing trouble, and setting up the first goal. And last but not least my
new signing Lee Morris, i cant be happier with his debut in black and white stripes, i only brought him
on for the last 38 minutes as i felt we needed to put the pressure on AC, but for the time he was on i
think he did a great job, and extending our lead was just the icing on the cake. We have lost Trainos
Dellas for the final game, which is a let down, but our defensive depth should be able cover him nicely,
i am going into the game at Porto focused, and this is going to be the most important game i've ever
managed at Juventus, so im afraid were going to make Peter Schemichael's last game a bad one, as i'm
going to make sure my boys cause him trouble on Saturday".
Showdown at the Turin
"This division aint big enough for the both of us" would be a suitable modified movie phrase going
into this game on Saturday, as it simply sums up the situation Porto and Juventus are in, theres only
one place available left in Euro Premiership next season, and Neil Stewart and
Rob Dalling will both be testing they're tactics against each other on Saturday yet again, but in a
complete comparison to last seasons closing day fixture between them, that was for the Championship,
this being for the chance
for survival in the Premiership, both knowing if Barcelona win at the San Siro, they are both relegated
no
matter what happens.
Team news going into this game is that Porto and losing the injured and suspended Diaf and Kennedy,
while Juventus are missing the injured Greek International defender Dellas.
Lee Morris joins Juventus
Following Del Piero's Transfer Request, Rob Dalling had to trade him in, and this is what he has done,
Del Piero is now a Feyenoord player. Rob Dalling stuck a deal with Terry Leighton, Feyenoord
Manager, where he traded the unsettled Alessandro Del Piero, aswell as defender Cabral for young 24
year old striker Lee Morris. Rob Dalling aswell as his new signing of Lee Morris attended a press
conference earlier, this is what was said.
Dalling - " Although i was forced into selling Del Piero because he wasent happy here anymore, there
was only one player i could replace him with, one i have been scouting for a while now, in the form of ex
- feyenoord striker Lee Morris. He never really got a chance at his old club stocking up about 4
appearences at Feyenoord, but i will be more than willing to give him a chance here, sources tell me that
he is set to improve in all three areas of his game, tackling, passing and most important shooting, which
at 24 years old in my opinion is a great investment for us for the future, which as every one knows is
what ive been concentrating on for a while now at Juve even though it meant losing Del Piero and
Cabral, although Cabral didnt see much action in his time at Juventus, hopefully he will be able to kick
on from his new start at Feyenoord and have a good career, as for Del Piero he will always be
successful, but i hope he doesnt get too arrogant for his own good".
Morris - " I am very happy with the move to Juventus, i have been looking for a step up for a long time,
im looking forward to playing regular football at the Turin up front, i think i am a good enough player to
fit right into the team of course after a run in the team and once i get some first team experience for
Juventus im sure the goals will come, i am also looking forward to my upfront partnership with Lee
Trundle, i think we will be able to gel together easily and get a string of goals together, i just thank Mr
Dalling for giving me the oppertunity, i'll make a success of this".
Del Piero hands in Transfer request
Everyone at Juventus and all the supporters were stunned today after hearing the bombshell of the
Turin legend that is Alessandro Del Piero handing in a transfer request.
Fans are finding it unbelievable as the man that loved the club so much and they idolised has decided
to leave. Alessandro spoke in a press conference today, this is what he had to say ;-
"I have become increasingly frustrated with this clubs progress, i am too big a player to be stuck on a
sinking ship, Juventus were once a very successful side, but not anymore, this season they have
showed exactly what type of team they are, which is average. And of course i think everyone would
agree i dont fit this criteria, so the sooner i leave this club and move on to better and more promising
things the
better".
Lazio seal Juve's fate
Juventus lose 2-1 at home to Lazio which pretty much sealed Juve's fate this season, that they will be
playing Division 1 football next season, barring an absolute miracle.
This game saw a crowd of 52,738 turn on Rob Dalling, chanting " We want Dalling Out, We Want
Dalling Out" with many of the fans wondering what possessed Dalling to leave new signing Traianos
Dellas out when his defence was lacking strength.
We asked Rob Dalling for his comments after the game but he gave no comment, although insiders tell
us that he wasent happy with what he experienced at the Turin mainly with the fans turning on him, but
that he is determined to make it up to the fans by ending the season on a high, starting against
Barcelona on Sunday at the Turin.
Juventus sign Dellas
Juventus manager Rob Dalling unveiled his new signing in a press conference this morning, in the
shape of Greek International Superstar Defender Traianos Dellas.
Dellas becomes the first signing to arrive at Turin since Dalling's previous signing at the start of the
season where he signed Severin from Middlesborough.
The signing of the player Traianos Dellas is said to have cost the club an estimated 20 million, we asked
Rob Dalling for further information and his views, he gave us the following comments ;-
"I am delighted to have signed Traianos for the affordable price of 22,245,000, we have been looking to
improve our strength in Defence for a while now, so when i saw that Traianos was available, i was eager
to sign him as an oppertunity to sign such a talent, not to mention Euro 2004 winner doesnt come
knocking very often, he will be a fantastic addition for us at the back, where he will be used on a regular
basis with such talents we all ready have like Edmilson, Thuram, Biscan, captain Tudor and Young
Jurgen Colin".
Jurgen Colin and Andy Robinson expected to be stars?!
Thats right, you heard it hear first, with opinions from key experts who have studied theyre playing time
all season, the verdict is that by the time next season comes, the two youngsters in the shape of Dutch
twenty year old Jurgen Colin and English 21 year old Andy Robinson
will be stars.
They have both made steady starts with Jurgen Colin already showing hes capable of being a real rock
in the defence in the future and Andy Robinson showing that he could perhaps be capable of filling the
boots
of Juve Legend Lee Trundle after he possibly departs at the end of the season following constant
speculation.
When this happens Rob Dalling will be hoping they can be on a par with his best players, such as
portugese star Joca, croatian striker Simic and club captain Igor Tudor, to name but a few.
We asked Rob Dalling on his comments on the matter, he gave us the following ;-
"Haha, well its certainly been a gamble, when i think back to the first day these two boys came into the
first team i remember they were terrifically nervous, but they seem to be coming into their own and
although its slow starting, they are improving dramatically. Although ive had my fair share of stick from
the fans for this, it was always my plan to give these two extremely promising youngsters i scouted at
the
start of the season as much first team experience possible, this way next season they will definitely be
ready, and without a doubt will be stars, you know me by now, you know i wouldnt sabotage this
season for Juventus if i didnt think that it would pay off tremendously for the club
next season, its all an investment, all an investment, and if we can stay up in the premiership this
season also, in my opinion its been a terrific season".
EFA misery for Juventus
Juventus have got eliminated from the EFA Cup today as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to a strong Real
Madrid side who didnt let up, which was bad news for an injury strickened Juventus team, who then
saw theyre record against the Bernebau boys end, and also theyre EFA run end on the same night.
Juventus were missing key players against Real Madrid tonight, in the form of midfield mystro Lee
Trundle, and important defenders Igor Biscan and Brazilian international Edmilson.
Rob Dalling gave us the following comments ;-
"Well i cant pretend im happy, ive been knocked out of the EFA cup and the Inter wing cup both in the
same week, but at least now we can concentrate fully on our battle with relegation from the Premiership,
im going to do everything im my power to keep Juventus up, i think its going to be a real battle between
Juventus, Barcelona and Porto to see
who will get the final safety spot, but i think we have the capability to snatch it, as we still have to face
Barcelona and Porto at home which is a plus, in which will be must win games. But resuming back to
tonight, congratulations to Adam Walker, his team were real quality tonight and
i wish them all the best as they go further in this competition, they are now my favourites to win this
competition".
Top vs Bottom
Its a clash between the team at the top and the team at the bottom in the next batch of fixtures in the
Premiership this week, as Juve look to win this fixture against Lazio at the Turin to start the catch up
trail in their campaign to avoid relegation.
Team news for Juventus this week is that they are still missing Brazilian International Edmilson,as well
as Twenty year old defender Jurgen Colin and Croatian forward Simic.
Lee Trundle, Igor Biscan aswell as Igor Tudor return for the game, which is a plus for Rob Dalling as
although he is missing Edmilson, Colin and Simic, he makes up for it in the key players of the trio.
We talked to Rob Dalling, he had the following to tell us ;-
"Well its a tough game for us, weve got cover for Edmilson and Colin in the returning players, yet we
lack a little bit up front this week as Simic serves his suspension. We will be hoping to get something
out of the game as we cannot leave Barcelona or Porto pull away.
IWC ends for Juventus
The inter wing cup has ended for Juventus as they go down in a 3-0 thrashing against Bayern Munich.
The game saw many injuries and suspensions stopping the Juventus side picking theyre strongest
team, which included theyre star striker Simic, and also defenders Thuram,
Tudor and Biscan.
We caught up with Rob Dalling, he had the following comments for us ;-
"Well i think we were a bit unlucky tonight as so many of our players were out for this important game,
so our side was alot weaker than normal, but you cant take anything away from Bayern Munich, they
performed great tonight and they have my congratulations, and as a Euro wing representative i wish
them all the best of luck as they advance in the competition".
Juve prepare for Bayern
Juventus have started training for their match against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, which will test
their depth when they lose Biscan, Thuram, Captain Tudor and Striker Simic for the game. News is that
Edmilson is likely to start, but that is the only team news we have at this current
time, Rob Dalling is negotiating at the moment with Lee Trundle, time will tell whether he gets some
players in time for the game to strengthen the team further.
Juve get lucky !
Lucky was the only word to describe Juventus yesterday as they won 1-0 against Deportivo La Coruna
to qualify to the quarter finals of the EFA Cup.
Deportivo dominated the game into extra time until Alessandro Del Piero managed to get a goal on the
break to win the game for his team. Juventus lost theyre main striker in Simic when he went hopping off
the pitch in the sixth minute having to be replaced by amateur Delvecchio.
Juventus also lost Igor Tudor, Lillian Thuram and Igor Biscan after each player got sent off, losing their
cool due to the pressure they were getting put under from the great performance of Deportivo.
We spoke to Rob Dalling he gave us the following comments ;- "Well for the first time in my career i
think we robbed the opponents, Mike McLeod and his boys without a doubt deserved to qualify into
the next round of the cup, and we were undeserving, but you cannot be too
unhappy, the main thing i am not greatly pleased with is losing Lillian, Igor and Igor and Simic for the
midweek Inter Wing game against Bayern Munich where we clearly have to be at full strength to have a
chance of defeating this team, obviously changes will have to be made".
Magic Daps on his way out?!?!
Yes you heard it here first, Juventus' golden boy Lee Trundle is at the centre of negotiations at the
Turin, in a shock decision made by manager Rob Dalling who once said that he would never sell this
player who he admired so much. Word is around the ground that following the mass of
injuries and suspensions his team got following the EFA Cup game against Deportivo, he feels he has
to sacrifice his star player to strengthen in various positions. Only time will tell when the interest gets
generated from different clubs what he will go for, and more importantly, where. Could Rob Dalling sell
him to a club which he could possibly tie with Lee seeking vengence against his old club? Only time
will tell.
Success is in sight at Juventus
Rob Dalling came out with a statement today stating that he is looking to attempt winning the EFA Cup.
Juventus have already more or less lost hope in staying up in the Premiership, and facing Bayern
Munich in the Inter Wing Cup with half of his team missing will be a tough ask, but Rob Dalling still
sees the EFA Cup as a capable quest, after hearing news of a quarter final tie against Real Madrid.
"They have never beaten us". Rob Dalling Says. "I hope to continue this record when we face Madrid
in the EFA Cup, which i hope will happen because this year i want to win the competition, and salvage
something from what has been a poor season for us".
League pressure resumes
The pressures on once again for Rob Dalling this week as he looks to try and get something against the
strongest team in the Euro Wing, Inter Milan at home, as Juventus run out of oppertunities to
consolidate all important catch up points in the league - survival campaign.
Robert Dalling gave us the following comments ;- "Well i could have hoped for an easier finish to the
league campaign, having to take on Inter and Ajax, but if we work hard we could defeat these teams or
at least get a point from each game to try and gain league survival, i'd love us to finish 6th or above, i'm
not looking for a fairy tale comeback to shoot us up the table, im just looking for safety this
season in the league, with all the cups going on also it is a distraction for the lads, but i'll be making
sure they realise that even though were going for success in the cups, League survival is just as
important, and that they have to give 110 percent effort when they play the remaining league games".
EFA begins for Juventus
The road to winning the EFA cup has started for Juventus, after a first round one - nil win against
Borussia Dortmund. The goal was scored by Alessandro Del Piero in the twenty eighth minute to seal
the win for Juventus. Earlier on in the week at the next round's draw we learned that Juventus have next
to play Deportivo La Coruna, we caught up with
Rob Dalling to see what he thought about the win against Dortmund, and what he thinks of the draw
against Deportivo in the next round. "Well first and foremost i think it was a very good performance by
the lads to beat Dortmund, a team in such good form at the moment, and who are looking threatening in
Europe. Secondly the draw against Deportivo does look a tough one, Mike McLeod has a good squad
of players and we will have to think carefully on what type of strategy were going to think about
playing prior to the game".
Juve beat Madrid
Juventus kept up their undefeated record against Real Madrid tonight in a one nil win at the Turin. Lee
Trundle scored the decisive goal in the sixty sixth minute to give Juventus the important three "catch
up points" in their quest to remain in the Premiership next season.
This win kept up Juventus' record against Real Madrid, they now have not lost against Madrid in any
competitions ever, after in their four fixtures they have tied each other in the three seasons, Juventus
have managed three wins and one draw, which is a good feat against a team as successful as Adam
Walkers twice championship winning Madrid.
We caught up with Rob Dalling following the game he had the following to tell us ;-
" Nice to win against Madrid yet again, it seems to get better everytime i get a result from such a good
team as Mr Walker's. I hope this will be a point where we will start as we mean to go on, we are in
touching distance now of getting out of the drop zone and reaching sixth position or higher. I would be
pleased to reach sixth position, it doesn't matter to me personally that it isn't a good place to finish
up at the end of the season, at least its survival, and i think that's what's important this season, i can
assure you that we will be a much more successful team next season as i have plans to bring glory back
to the Turin through a few transfers and team alterations, of which i will not speak of as i do not wish to
cause speculation. But yes, i am very
happy with the win, key players like Igor Tudor and Lee Trundle, and a very good performance from
Pessotto have helped us prevail, and with the up and comers like Jurgen Colin and Andy Robinson
coming through the ranks, I'm hoping we will find the correct mix of youth, experience
and all around talent to find success next season."
Inter Wing saga for Juventus
Yes, Roma lost, that means Juventus qualify i hear you say, but that was until Richard Locke's
Portsmouth decided to throw a spanner into the mix at the last minute to throw things up in the air for
the Juventus boys once again.
Portsmouth came away with a win which leaves them on nine points, On Sunday Juventus failed to beat
or draw against group winners Bradford City to clinch the point they needed to ensure qualification. In
doing so Juventus have now still only got 12 points, leaving the gate open for Pompey to take the
qualification spot at the last hurdle on the same points, which pretty much reflects what happened to
Juventus last year, so it is pretty much do or die for Rob Dalling midweek, he has to get a point from the
tough away leg at Roma, but odds will be in Rob Dallings favour as Biscan, Colin and Edmilson all
return in time for the all vital cup round.
Old Rivals clash again
Rob Dalling and his men are about to face a must win game
for league survival, but in doing so Rob Dalling has to go up against Neil Stewart and his men at Porto
at the Estadio Das Antas, where Rob Dalling will be hoping that lady luck will be on his side.
Juventus and Porto have had history in playing against each other, in having run a closely contested
Championship battle for promotion to the Premiership from Division 1b which was going on all the way
through the season, with Porto finally winning the race by goal difference - one goal, after Juventus
beat Porto 4-0 at the climax at the end of the season, where they needed five goals to clinch the
championship.
Many people have said that Rob Dalling has been very bitter since he missed out on that date, and he
is looking for a win against Neil Stewart this season to get one back on an old rival.
All Juventus players are fit going into this game, so Rob Dalling will be able to play a full strength team,
whatever he decides that is.
Juventus pathway to Inter Wing Glory
Following Juventus' 2-0 win against Brit Wing team Chelsea on wednesday, Juventus are now riding
high in second place in group 8 being five points clear from third place team Roma.
Fellow Group 8 team Bradford City are topping the table after already securing their qualification into
the second round, Juventus can still find it possible to finish top if they beat Bradford at the Turin
onWednesday 28th July.
Juventus are only in need of two points from their final two fixtures to ensure qualification.
Bottom of the table clash
This sunday, Juventus entertain AC Milan in what promises to be an excellent game, which is very
important for both teams to get three points from, they both remain in a situation to get out of the
situation they have put themselves in, but the loser on Sunday, may find themselves falling deeper and
deeper into the Relegation trap.
Juventus go into this game without one of their better defenders, Edmilson, who is suspended from this
game after recieving too many disiplinary points.
Juventus celebrate Inter Wing win
Juventus won a hard-fought game yesterday after beating Richard Locke's Portsmouth team 2-0.
There were jokes off the pitch being made between Rob Dalling and his ex- midfield sensation Edgar
Davids made a return to the Turin, telling his old boss he was going to put five past his newly aquired
goalkeeper.
Davids recieved a warm reception as he jogged onto the pitch from the home crowd. The jokes Rob
Dalling and Edgar made before the game well and truely ended as soon as the game started as a third
minute penalty gave Juventus the lead, scored by in-form striker Simic.Juventus had to do without
DelPiero in this game after his sending off against Barcelona, but the team did not dissapoint without
him, scoring yet another, this time midfield mystro Lee Trundle, to rap the game up.
We caught up with Rob Dalling following the game, this is what he had to say to us ;-
"Great win, as Portsmouth are one of the more threatening sides in Group 8 im glad to have them out of
the way with us winning, we needed it, especially after we recieved a 3-0 thrashing against Real Betis
last time. We remain still second in this group, but it is not acceptable, i am determined to win the
group, especially as the only team we have to overhaul is Bradford City. Dont get me wrong, Bradford
City are a
great side with very good players, but were a much bigger club, and on our day are a better team".
Yet more controversy at the Turin ?!
---------------------------------------
Yep, im sure thats what your thinking, first Kahn faces allegations for supposidly leaving a goal in for his proper team Inter Milan when Juventus played them, then the incident where Ajax players spat on Juventus players to only recieve Yellow cards, but now Rob Dalling has found an incident against Aberdeen in the opening minutes he is unhappy with, where Sheerin simply punched Juventus youth defender Colin off the ball to recieve not even a caution.
We spoke to Rob Dalling to after we heard he had been once again appealing to the PBEMFF to get Aberdeen fined, this is what he had to say ;-
" Has sportsmanship gone completely out of football!? Why are Juventus getting targeted constantly with these terrible acts? And everyone just seems to let things slip through the net without giving us any form of justice whatsoever. I might have appealed the past two weeks also, but im prepared to carry on if theres an act which im unhappy with, last week
Colin gets spat on, this week he gets Punched, neither weeks does anyone seem to care, its simply not on! Its as if the players cant take that a young twenty year old player is making them look fools with his talents, so they think they have to resort to violence to restore they're reputations,
well i wont stand for it, ill be in front of the board of PBEMFF once again this week to stand up for what i believe in and retrive some sort of dignity for Colin on Wednesday morning, the day of our clash against Lazio, lets hope i do not have to return there the next day to appeal
once again."
Juventus start off Inter Wing Campaign on High
------------------------------------------------
Juventus enjoyed a solid 2-0 win yesterday as they entertained Aberdeen at the Turin in an exciting performance.
A tenth minute penalty saw Juventus take the lead, knocked into the back of the net by Ex Derby County striker Simic.
The game was wrapped up in the second half however for Juventus when youth star Andy Robinson scored an exceptional goal to make it his second of the season.
Downsides of this game were however that Siriex got sent off after making a bad challenge on Aberdeens Zdrillic, that being his second booking.
Thuram also didnt last the entire game, having to be stretched off in the 57th minute to be replaced by Pessotto.
We asked Rob Dalling for his thoughts following the game he had the following to tell us ;-
" Great win, yeah im happy, there was an incident in the start that i wasent too pleased with, but i will sort that out afterwards with the PBEMFF,but overall im very pleased with the Lads performance tonight, im glad Simic finally got off the mark with a goal, even though it was a penalty,
but still, it might give him confidence to be the next Elber, but hes got time, he'll get there,i think hes improving drastically already. And what can you say about my young discovery of Andy Robinson? What a player! in a season i'm sure hes going to be high in the ranks of PBEMFF and will be feared by many. Along with Mr Trundle, its
unbelievable to think hes top scorer at this stage of his development.
It was a kick in the teeth to lose Thuram and Siriex following this game but i think i have replacements in line for the game against Lazio, for one Joca will be returning from his suspension, so he will fit right in place where Siriex will be absent, Now we must concentrate on the next fixture where we take on Lazio, an important game for our league campaign to stay on track, against a manager i have the unmost respect for."
Juventus start the long road of the Inter Wing Again
-----------------------------------------------------
Juventus start their Inter Wing campaign this sunday, as the Juve boys take on Aberdeen in the opener.
The fans are hoping for more success this year following last year after they missed out on qualifying by one point.
We caught up with Rob Dalling, this is what he had to tell us :-
"I guarantee our success in the competition this year, we were unlucky last year i grant you, but this time out team is stronger, and there is no way they are going to keep us off the world stage this year, we're going to do well this time".
Juventus take a tumble, Dalling sends Complaints to PBEMFF
------------------------------------------------------
Juventus took a terrible fall yesterday against Ajax losing 4-1 at home.Rob Dalling is said to be furious with the spitting insidents where thegame saw Trabelsi spit in Trundles face following his goal and then Obodai spitting in Colins face following many battles between the Defender and
The Midfielder, both resulting in minor Yellow Cards.
Rob Dalling didnt have alot to say as he was so discusted, but he did mention that he thought it was terrible sportsmanship, his playerscould certainly not have concentrated on these conditions and also that
the referee was biased, and that if he thought they were yellow cardoffences, hes in the wrong occupation.
Rob Dalling went on to say that he would be appealing to the PBEMFFto try and get the points deducted from Ajax for these terrible acts.
Juventus suffer defeat, Kahn faces allegations
-------------------------------------------------
Juventus fell after a 2-1 loss to Inter Milan yesterday, after a good
strong performance against the premiership giants.
The Juve boys had to be first to face the strong Ronaldinho, and he
lived up to his reputation by scoring the opener against the boys in
black and white, in a said to be suspicious goal let in by Oliver Kahn.
Word on the street now tells us of rumours that Oliver might have been
ordered to spill a goal after supposid orders from his real club Inter
Milan to do this to ensure their win.
Kahn experienced boos from the away stand as he jogged off Inter Milan's
pitch and today he came out with the following statement yesterday in
a press conference :-
belangen".
Later, translated by our German expert, it was revealed he said ;-
"I apologise for leaving the goal in, i do not often concede many, but
for this i apologise, but i would never even leave a goal in on purpose,
i am completely professional and i respect Juventus far too much to do
an act like this to them,it was an honest goalkeeping blunder, i am shocked
at this and very hurt that people would say these things about me, i hope
this puts an end to the allegations otherwise if it continues i will not
hesitate to sue you all for Libel".
Although for a while, youth Andy Robinson looked as if he'd saved his
team Juventus from losing right at the end, scoring against his old club
in the 74th minute, it looked as if Inter Milan didnt have a reply, but
Milan favourite Adrian Mutu saved his club in the 85th minute by scoring
to wrap the game up.
We caught up with Robert Dalling, he had the following to tell us ;-
"Well, even though weve lost here today against a great Inter Milan
side managed by my good friend Chinh,it was an outstanding performance,
as i said before the game and i stand by, Inter Milan are the best team
in the whole of PBEMFF,no question in my mind, so when you lose 2-1 to
a team of this stature, you cant be disappointed. I am happy with Simic,
Biscan and Colin's hard work and they had great debuts. With Colin making
such an impression to me, im going to find it hard to find room for both
Colin and Siriex in the Juventus team, its bound to be a hard decision for
me,where you have to nurture these youths and not playing a player of Siriex's
quality would be a crime, so its a real toughy. Next its top of the table
Ajax for Juventus at the Turin, a tough game again, but im sure we will
get a good result, the boys are up for it".
Juventus announce room for improvement
-----------------------------------------
Although Juventus are very settled with their team, and have everything
they need for success in their squad, Rob Dalling still seems unsatisfied.
Word around the Turin is that he is unhappy with the high age in his
squad, mainly around the defensive area.
He is said to be interested in sacrificing two defenders for a good one,
as his squad now boasts an abundance of talent in which he cant use all
of them, so he can afford to lose one or two in the search for new talent.
Only time will tell the changes if any, Rob Dalling makes, it will be
interesting to see whether he makes money for the auction, or sacrifices
the players for a new few.
Ins and Outs at Juventus
---------------------------
Today at a press conference Rob Dalling revealed his two newest aquisitions in midfield mystro Severin signed from Middlesborough in the Brit wing for two and a half million and also young defender Colin from PSG for six million.
"I am very pleased with my latest signings, firstly i have signed Severin at what i must admit is a bargin price for his capability and age, he will play a good part in the depth of the Juventus squad and ive also signed Colin who has been moved around clubs alot in the past month or so, after being from playing for PSV to moving to Feyenoord to PSG and eventually he has come to us. I personally cant believe he
hasent found stability at a club before Juventus, as like Andy Robinson after a seasons grooming and many first team appearences, he will be ready for the big time".
Juventus celebrate great start of season
--------------------------------------------
The celebrations were really chaotic in Juventus Saturday, following the 3-0 win at Real Madrid which sent them soring to the top of the table.
Fans were filmed in near by pubs screaming with excitement as Joca and Del Piero put away they're shots to stone Real Madrid to silence, but the celebrations really began when Turin hero Lee Trundle put away the third decisive goal and started dancing around the corner flag controversly rubbing the Real Madrid fans noses in it.
We caught up with Robert Dalling, he had the following to say about this performance ;-
"I cant put into words how ecstatic i am about this win. Its the best start to the season i could have amagined, and just the perfect way to send Davids, Montero and Elber off to their new quest at Derby in the British Leagues. Though we must look ahead, although it is great to be walking tall at the top of the premiership, we must look ahead to what is going to be the toughest test my Juventus boys have had to face yet, against in my opinion the best team in the whole of PBEMFF Inter Milan next saturday".
Three legends leave the turin
-----------------------------
Three of Juventus' All stars have left the Turin today, in the form of Elber, Montero and Davids. It was a big shock to the fans, but they must consider that these three influential players to the club's success were getting older, and having just been promoted to the premiership, Rob Dalling needs to consider the clubs future.
In doing this, he has aquired the talents of Derby stars Pauuwe,Biscan and Simic. "Its really sad seeing these three guys leave, especially when they were at the peak of their careers, sometimes i look at the deal and think it was a silly one to agree on, but you have to look at it on the other side aswell, Davids Elber and Montero were getting older and losing value, and its part of my job to use these players in
a deal to get the most value out of them that is possible, which i think i have found in my deal with Derby, i have found three talented younger players in which i think are going to be the next legends to grace the Turin, and i hope the fans respect my decision in this matter"
Kahn joins the Juventus all stars
---------------------------------
Rob Dalling is said to be pleased with his latest loan aquisition this week as Oliver Kahn joins Juventus for a seasons long loan. Rob Dalling was interviewed intensily on how he managed to poach Inter Milan's first choice goalkeeper. He refused to comment, but it has later leaked
out that he sold his youth keeper Zoff to Inter Milan, in return for Kahn's loan services for a year, as well as the english youth midfield skillful star in Inter Milan's youths Andy Robinson.
Juventus play off glory
------------------------
Juventus fans were celebrating last night after the success they achieved in the play off's against PSV.
Juventus thrashed PSV Eindhoven 4-0 to claim a place in next seasons Euro Premiership.
Amongst the celebrations Rob Dalling had the following to say to us;- "Were absolutely delighted, having been relegated from The Premiership last season after i joined late on, its fantastic to bounce straight back and get promoted to the dizzy heights of the premiership once again".
One point short
-----------------------
Juventus fell short this week at Porto when five goals was expected of them to gain championship glory but could only grasp four before the final whistle went.
Juventus now are faced against PSV Eindhoven of Div 1a to decide who takes the final promotion place to the Euro Premiership next season.
