Hey everyone. I, as many of you know, live in Mobile, Alabama. I was deeply affected by Hurricane Katrina that hit the Gulf Coast so hard as a major category 4 storm. So many lives are completely changed. So many are homeless, hungry, thirsty, hopeless, grieving, or even dead. So much is completely destroyed. So many things are ruined, so many buildings are total losses, we have no idea if/when we will ever get back to school, and this is my senior year. The destruction is so devastating and so widespread. We just don't know if/when everything will be back to normal. People in New Orleans are dying on the streets of dehydration, starvation, and suicide. People are fighting over gas, and stealing it out of other people's cars. The aftermath of this storm will be far-reaching for many, many years. When I pray for all of the people affected, I don't even know where to begin, and I pray for hours. The lesson I am trying to learn from all of this is that nothing is too big for God. Nothing is too hard, nothing is too devastating, nothing is too chaotic, nothing is too much, nothing is too many, nothing is too empty, nothing is too destroyed, nothing nothing is too big. God can do anything, and it's time we stopped restricting Him to what He can or can't do. Please continue to pray for us. Remember that God is all-knowing, all-powerful, omni-present, and He is able to supply all needs. I can do all things through Christ who is my strength, and so can all of us affected by this powerful and deadly storm. I hope to see Scriptures fulfilled in this very scary, very trying time for all of us here along the Gulf Coast. Send your love, send your prayers, and know that with God nothing is impossible.
