Wondering what the hearts have to do with prayer? Read on to find out more!

That has always been one of my favorite Bible verses. It brings so much hope to me when I am relying so heavily on God to answer my prayers, and it gives me so much power as a believer to know that my prayers can affect change. I have recently harnessed that power and been blessed by my faith in that hope.

A couple months ago, I was going through a severe depression. Especially around Valentine's day. That may sound silly, but I was all alone. I had gotten something for everyone, and no one gave me anything. I was the only person out of all my friends who was not only single, but also didn't even have a Valentine. I had had this feeling of loneliness for so long and I was so tired of it. I had even had thoughts of suicide.

But through all this, I never lost my faith in Him, or my faith in prayer. I prayed to God that I would feel better. I prayed that I would not be alone. I asked God to send me just one friend who truly cared about me, wanted to be around me, had alot in common with me, and wanted to make me happy. God quickly (and in an amazing way) answered my prayer.

I now have two awesome friends: Holly, who is like a little sister to me; and my incredibly sweet and caring boyfriend Anthony. I love both of them and I know for a fact that they both love me. I am much happier now that I have someone to talk to and someone to just hang out with. And the greatest joy of it all is knowing that God answered my prayers!

Just remember that God loves you, and He will be faithful to His Word and answer your prayers!
