I don't have a verse for this guys, I just want to share something that's seemed important to me lately.
I read somewhere recently that a church isn't a hotel for saints, it's a hospital for sinners. And that is so true. So many people have a misconception of church that you have to be perfect to go there. Or that everyone there is happy and sinless. That's very wrong. People in church are hurting, sinning, and imperfect. This brings in another saying: Christians aren't perfect, just forgiven.
The point I want to make is that, while you can be a good Christian without a church home, it is much better for you to have one. Christians who have a church home are not as easily lead astray as those who don't, and come to the right path much more easily when they are. Christians who have a church home feel less lonely, less persecuted, less rejected, and less tempted. While you can live a Christian life without church, it is a much better life when you have one.
So I recommend that if you don't already have a church, you find one that has a doctrine similar to your beliefs and full of people who will nurture you and care about you. Try to find a place that will help you in your Christian walk. You don't have to go it alone.
