This week's devotion is entitled:
Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth I perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him."
God accepts everyone. In this verse, Peter was preaching to an Italian centurion named Cornelius. Peter had had a vision a few days earlier in which God told him "What God has cleansed you must not call common." (Acts 10:15) This vision and the message that Peter preached to Cornelius and his house were sent from God to show that He held no distinction between Jews and Gentiles. This showed that all who believed in Jesus would be saved. If you ever doubt your salvation because of who you are or what you've done, just remember these verses and remember that God accepts you and loves you no matter who you are.
~Acts 10:34-35
