This week's devotion is entitled:

Trait #9: Boldness for God

This last and most important Christian Character Trait only has one verse to read and memorize, but it has so much impact. This week’s trait brings us to the challenge that will change your life if you choose to accept it: give your entire life over to God 100% no questions asked, and live for Him like you could die any minute now and your salvation depends on you being bold for God.

Boldness for God is about not being afraid to admit you’re a Christian and a child of God, even if it means you lose any and all popularity you once held. Being bold for God is about boldly walking up to someone you’ve never even met and inviting them to church with you and/or telling them about Jesus. Being bold for God is about witnessing to the people around you in word and deed, no matter what persecution you may face. This week I challenge you to start a life-long journey of being bold for God in every situation, taking your 9 Christian Character Traits with you everywhere you go, and telling others about the love Christ has for them and the wonderful things He has done for you.

"You are the light of the world--like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don't hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all."
~Matthew 5:14-15 (NLT)

Dear Heavenly Father,

I love You, Lord! Thank You for laying out a path for my feet in Your Word. Thank You for loving me the way You do, and thank You for sending Your Son Jesus to die on the cross so that I can have eternal life, Lord. Help me to realize just how awesome You really are, God. Help me to catch even a glimpse of all Your glory, so that I can understand the magnitude of who You are and what it means to be loved by You and in fellowship with You, God. Help me to show others what great love You have for us, how awesome You are, and how worthy You are of praise, Lord. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and teach me how to be bold for You. Don’t let me be afraid to witness to You even when it means persecution or even death. Help me to take this challenge to heart and work to the best of my abilities to spread Your Word and bring others to You. May Your name be praised throughout all the nations! In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
