This week's devotion is entitled:
We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Now that the Holiday Season is in "full swing," it's easy to get tired and want to slack off on school work, chores, and sometimes even God. Even though Jesus is the reason for the season, we sometimes forget about God. We don't pray like we should, we skip church, we don't find time to read our Bibles. It happens to everyone occasionally, but we can't slack off on God no matter what time of year it is. At this time of year especially we need to thank God every single day for the miracle of Jesus' birth, life, death, and resurrection, all for us. We don't need to get lazy when it comes to spending time with God and reading our Bibles. As you shop, sing, eat, and celebrate, never forget the reason for the season, and never stop praising the One who gave you life.
~Hebrews 6:12 (NIV)
