This week's devotion is entitled:
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.
I've seen and heard it debated among Christians as to whether or not cursing is a sin. So, to help solve the debate, I've gone directly to the source for answers to all our problems and disagreements: God's Word. If a solution can ever be found, it can be found in the Bible.
The Bible states it plain and clear: "Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth." Cursing and vulgar language is not only a sin, but it can also hurt your ministry. No one is going to believe that you are a true Christian if you constantly curse around them.
But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth.
As you go through this week, I want you to think about what you say and the language you use, and consider whether or not it needs improving.
