This week's devotion is entitled:
And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
Sometimes your brothers and sisters in Christ may irritate or even anger you. But the Bible says for us to forgive them of their faults and treat them with kindness. Not only are we to forgive them, but we are to unconditionally forgive them the exact same way that God forgave us--in Christ.
So when He had washed their feet, taken His garments, and sat down again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you."
Remember, the Golden Rule applies to everyone: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Treat people the way you want to be treated. You just might see a change in the people around you if you do!
