This week's devotion is entitled:
Even when no one is looking, even when you are all alone and all you have are the thoughts in your head, you are supposed to love everyone, even your enemies, as yourself. If you don't love yourself, you should start, and in the meantime, love others the way Jesus loves them. (And remember that He loves you, so you should too!) Some people find it harder than others to love everyone, but these verses and this prayer may help you. This week I encourage you to memorize one or all of the verses and pray this prayer every night so that you can attain this Christian Character Trait.
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
"A second is equally important: `Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."
"This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you."
"Love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great."
Whoever loves is a child of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, for God is love.
Dear Heavenly Father,
I love You!!! Help me to feel the full extent of Your amazing, unfailing, unending, unrelenting, unlimited, unconditional love for me. Help me to love others, even those who hate me, the way You love me. Help me to show others the love You have for them through my love for them. Help me to love You more and more with every passing moment. Lord, fill me and surround me with Your love! I love You more than life itself! In Jesus' holy name I pray, Amen.
