I know there are people who wonder "Why should I be a Christian" I look at those people and wonder, "Why not?"

I can't imagine why you wouldn't want to be a Christian! it is the greatest high on earth! And besides that, do you just want to go to hell? I don't! So I say, why not be a Christian?

First off, there are only two requirements. You must "...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ..." (Acts 16:31), and you must ask Jesus into your heart as the Lord of your life. Two very simple steps, just as long as you understand you choice and commitment when you take these steps.

Second there are benefits. The best one is that you get to go to Heaven. You get to spend you afterlife, which lasts for all eternity, living in a huge mansion and walking down streets of gold. Another benefit is that all your sins are forgiven and forgotten. God doesn't remember what you've done wrong after you've asked for forgiveness of it. Another benefit is that God will be your Helper and He wants to help you overcome temptation and defeat Satan. I mean, "...If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31) Yet another benefit of Christianity that is mentioned in the same chapter, "And we know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28) Still another one: "And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will be healed." (Mark 16:17-18) The list goes on and on.

And the 3rd reason to be a Christian: if you're not, you're going to hell. That's all there is to it. That's all there is to it. There is no riding the fence, there is no "I'm just not religious," there is no "I'm not for Satan or God." First, it's not about religion or denomination, it's about salvation. Second, if you're not for God (that means if you're not a born-again Christian), you're for Satan. There is no fence to ride on. You're for God, or you're against Him. That's all there is to it.

God is more powerful than Satan could ever imagine. And in the end of the world, God wins the battle over Satan. It's predicted in the book of Revelation. I don't know about you, but I'd rather be on the winning side!

If you still don't see my point, try my point of view. i was a lost and lonely Gothic girl. I didn't care what guy used my body and how (but thankfully I kept my virginity). I didn't care what kind of crap I fed my mind with the bad music and T.V. and movies I surrounded myself with. I didn't have many friends, and the ones I did have were bad influences who didn't care about me anyway. I didn't eat or sleep much. I was depressed. I would sit in my room and curl up in a ball and cry and contemplate suicide. I didn't know what to do. I was lost, and I was broken. I remembered that I was a Christian, but I hadn't really talked to God or gone to church in years.

I cried out to God to save me and send me to a church that would nurture me. He saved me and sent me to the church down my street, and I have never been happier. I am saved, forgiven, going to Heaven, surrounded by Him, and surrounded by Christian friends.

I love my God and my faith so much that I want to share it with others and I am willing to tell you about it. I wouldn't have gone through all the trouble of making and running this website if I didn't think Christianity was worth spreading!

So c'mon. Give it a shot; accept Jesus Christ as your Savior right now. If you don't have a church where you can accept the alter call and/or you don't know what to pray, try saying this sinner's prayer. As long as you mean it with all your heart, you'll be saved!
