That following morning, Elaine woke up panting again. Micky's eyes widened as she heard the sounds. "Please don't tell me you're in labor," he gasped in horror.
"Okay," Elaine gasped "Hee, hee, hee, who."
Micky looked at her and asked, "Is it Braxton Hicks?"
"It sure better be," Elaine replied gasping again. "I'm not far enough along yet to deliver these little ones."
"Ouch!" Elaine screamed and then started panting like crazy.
Micky's mind went blank. What did he do? They hadn't even taken Lamaze classes yet. "Uh, Uh, Uh," he said over and over again.
"Get the car ready!" Elaine screamed. "Do something besides say uh, uh, uh."
"Okay," Micky gasped grabbing the keys to her car and running out to start it. "But we were just at the doctor's yesterday. I don't understand." he said to himself.
He got Elaine situated in the backseat of the car where she could lay down. "Whatever you do, don't push," Micky said. "I remember that from a TV show."
He got her to the Emergency Room where he let the Valet park the car. He helped her inside and they took her back. His heart was racing. It was too early for the babies to come yet.
After four hours in the ER, and Micky feeling absolutely useless and helpless, Elaine walked out with the Nurse and said, "Just Braxton Hicks like we thought."
"Whew!" Micky breathed out covering his heart with his hand.
"She's going to be just fine, sir. She needs to stay very quiet though for the next couple of days." the Nurse said. "And she's to see her Doctor again in four days."
"Okay," Micky said thanking the Nurse and grabbing Elaine's arm helping her to the doorway.
"Does that mean I can't work?" Elaine asked. "It's too early to start my maternity leave."
"You cannot work until you go see your doctor in four days. After that, it is based only on his decision." the Nurse said.
"Thank you," Elaine replied as the valet brought the car around for Micky. Elaine sat in the front seat and fell asleep on the ride back home. Micky's heart was still racing from the early morning excitement. When he arrived back at her apartment, there was a car in the driveway.
"Here he is, Peter." Davy called out.
"We were wondering where you were." Peter said greeting his friends.
"She was having contractions and we went to the ER just to make sure it was Braxton Hicks. Help me get her inside, please guys." Micky said getting out of the car and walking to Elaine's side.
"Wow, she grew overnight, Micky." Davy said. "But she still looks perfect" he said trying to calm Micky's mind.
Once inside the apartment, Micky got Elaine situated with her feet propped up on pillows and behind her back and along her side. "You afraid she'll fall off the couch?" Davy asked.
"Just be quiet, Davy, please. I'm trying to think." Micky said walking into the kitchen looking at the medications. "Iron pills. She needs her Iron pills. Where are they?" he asked himself.
"Can we help you, Micky?" Peter asked walking up to his friend in the kitchen.
"She needs her Iron pills and I can't locate them anywhere." Micky said. Davy walked to the nightstand in Elaine's room and asked, "Are these them? They were in her bedroom."
"Don't go in her room again unless I tell you to. But thank you." Micky replied looking at the label and taking two out to give her with a glass of water. He walked over to her and said, "Elaine, sweetie, it's time for your pills."
Elaine took the pills and closed her eyes again. She breathed a sigh of relief and then said, "I am so tired, Micky."
"I know, but you need to eat something before going to sleep. I'll make you breakfast." Micky said.
"Don't bother, Micky. That's why we're here. We brought breakfast for everyone...well everyone but Mike that is. He's at home not feeling well and he didn't want to come near Elaine being sick."
"Thanks guys," Micky said giving them a hug and then walking over to Elaine with the bags of food.
"Sorry they're not very nutritious, but we wanted to make sure you both were okay," Peter said.
"Thank you Peter," Elaine said. "It was very thoughtful of you both."
Elaine slowly ate her sandwich and drank some of her drink. She then curled up on her left side and closed her eyes. She wasn't supposed to lie on her back for long periods of time now that her tummy was growing larger. Micky covered Elaine up with four blankets and brushed her hair away from her face so she could breathe. He then took Peter and Davy to the other end of the livingroom where they sat down there and quietly talked so they wouldn't disturb Elaine.
"Thanks for coming over, guys." Micky said. "She woke up panting from the contractions."
"You're welcome, Micky. We were up early today and wanted to stop over; not to mention, Naomi called me last night and scolded us for leaving you two alone." Peter said quietly.
"When will they arrive?" Micky asked.
"Um probably by end of this week/beginning of next." Peter said. "They were going out for breakfast this morning, making one last look at the house, and then getting into the U-Haulies."
"I see," Micky said.
"Micky," he heard Elaine say.
"Yes dear," Micky replied.
"Can you go in the spare room and talk, please? I'm trying to rest and you know they want me to be as quiet as possible." Elaine asked.
"Yes, we'll do that." Micky said with the guys following behind him to the spare room.
"Thank you," Elaine said.
"You're welcome, sweetie." Micky replied leaving the door partially open in case he needed to hear her.
Elaine closed her eyes and took a breath. She didn't want to upset anything about her right now, especially the babies. She needed sleep. She also needed Lamaze classes. She made a mental note to talk to her doctor about that in four days.
"Micky?" Elaine called out again.
"Yes?" he replied opening the door.
"My back is super cold. Do you have the blankets back there?" she asked.
Micky walked over and tucked the blankets behind her back even more. "How's that?" he asked.
"I'm still cold." Elaine said.
Micky put another pillow up against her back and asked, "How about that?"
"Fine. Thank you," Elaine replied.
"You're welcome." Micky replied.
"Micky?" Elaine asked as he was walking into the room. He rolled his eyes at the guys and smiled, "Yes dear."
"Please write down we need to inquire on lamaze classes before I forget." Elaine said.
"Yes, already did while waiting at the hospital." Micky said.
"Thank you." Elaine replied.
Micky walked to the bedroom door and asked, "Anything else dear?"
"No, I'm fine." Elaine replied. "Thank you."
"You're welcome." Micky replied closing the door partially again and sat down next to his friends.
"She's on complete and total bedrest for four days," Micky said.
"But she's on the couch," Davy said.
"That's the same thing, Davy." Peter said. "She has to be quiet."
"Micky?" Elaine called again.
"Yes dear?" he asked opening the door.
"Tell Davy to lower his voice please. I need it very quiet." Elaine replied. "Will you turn on my soothing music for me and the babies?"
"Soothing music?" Peter asked quietly.
"Yes dear, let me get the recorder." Micky said walking into the bedroom and getting the CD player and putting on the classical music.
"It's too loud, Micky," Elaine cried out. "I need it softly."
"Sorry," Micky said lowering the volume. "How's that?"
"Horrible, give it to me," Elaine said lifting her arms up taking it from him as he was stretching the cord. Elaine turned it onto a soft whisper and then handed it back to him. "Leave it at this volume." she said.
"Okay," Micky said putting it back on the table.
"Make sure you set it to repeat over and over again." Elaine said.
"Yes, already set." Micky said.
"Thank you," Elaine replied. "My back is cold again."
Micky fixed her back and covered her up with another blanket and fixed her hair again. She closed her eyes and took some deep breaths hoping to fall asleep. Peter and Davy sat in the bedroom waiting for their friend's return.
"Oh no!" Elaine cried out as Micky was closing the door. "I have to use the restroom now."
Micky watched as Elaine went into the restroom and closed the door. He waited for her to come back out so he could prop her up on the pillows again. He looked at his friends and just smiled. "The joys of fatherhood," he said.
"You haven't even begun to see what you will see, man." Peter said. "You won't sleep for a week when the little ones come home."
"Be quiet, Peter. Please." Micky said annoyed at his friend.
Elaine came out of the bathroom and smiled at Micky. "Sorry bout that," she said lying back down on the couch getting comfortable.
"No problem," Micky said covering her back up again and propping pillows up all around her back again. "Goodnight."
"Night," Elaine said blowing him a kiss.
Micky walked back into the bedroom and closed the door halfway again.
"Ladies and gentlemen, door closed halfway number eight time." Peter said quietly mocking his friend.
Micky gently smacked Peter's head and the three laughed quietly.
Micky sat down on the bed and reached for the phone the moment it rang. He did not want Elaine woke up. "Hello," he said.
"Micky, it's Naomi, is Elaine there?"
"She's trying to sleep, Naomi. She went to the hospital and they put her on complete bedrest for four days from the Braxton Hicks' contractions again." Micky replied.
"Are the babies okay, Micky?" Naomi asked concerned.
"Yes, Elaine and the babies are fine. She just needs to do absolutely nothing for four days, she can't even work." Micky said.
"That's too bad, Micky. We're staying in a hotel tonight and resuming driving in the morning." Naomi said.
"I'll be sure to tell her that you called, Naomi." Micky said.
"Thanks. We'll be praying for her." Naomi replied.
"I'm sure she'll be thankful for that, goodnight." Micky said.
"Night," Naomi replied hanging up the phone.
Davy and Peter sat in the chairs while Micky stretched out on the bed and said, "I can't believe it."
"Proud papa," Peter said smiling at his friend.
"It's too quiet. I don't hear anything," Micky said getting nervous. "If she was sleeping, we would hear snoring."
"You need to relax, Micky. She's fine." Davy said looking at his friend.
"At least with her snoring, I know she's breathing." Micky said getting up off the bed and opening the door looking at Elaine. Micky quietly crept up to the couch to check on Elaine and her eyes were still closed. He could very faintly hear her breathing. He walked back to the bedroom and closed the door. "She's fine." he breathed a sigh of relief.
"Told you. You need to relax. She's still got four more months to go." Davy said.
"I get nervous if I don't hear her breathing," Micky said. "I've became so accustomed to it."
"When have you been to your apartment, Micky?" Peter asked.
"Not for a while. I'm not wanting to leave her alone." Micky replied.
"Can I move in then?" Peter asked.
"What? You're going to make me live with Mike alone?" Davy asked.
"Yes," Peter replied. "I want my own bachelor pad until the girls get here anyway," Peter said smiling at them.
"Yes, you can move in, Peter. But don't go getting into trouble with the landlord." Micky said. "Don't answer my phone and don't open the door."
"Thanks man." Peter said smiling at his friend.
"Great leave me alone with wool hat," Davy said frowning.
"He likes you, Davy." Peter said smirking at Micky. Micky tried to hold back his laughter, but completely lost it. It was so hilarious. Peter had an amazing sense of humor at times that struck Micky absolutely silly. Suddenly, Micky heard a noise and quickly jumped off the bed opening the door. Elaine was no longer on the couch.
"Elaine?" Micky called out walking to her bedroom opening the door slowly.
"You know, I have begged you over and over again to be quiet and you three are having a slumber party in that spare room. I told you I need complete silence and I can't sleep. I'm scared, frustrated, and don't know what to do, Micky. I might lose my job from asking to be off work for so long. I just don't know. I am asking you nicely, will you please tell them to either take a nap or go home?" Elaine asked.
"I'm sorry, Elaine. Yes, I'll tell them." Micky said.
"And it would be nice if you would come in here and hold me while I tried to sleep. You did say you wanted to help me every step of the way. If you were lying about that, then please go back to your apartment and leave me alone. I need to rest." Elaine said.
"I wasn't lying, Elaine. I meant every word." Micky said. "I'll tell them and be right in." He watched as she went into her own private bathroom and closed the door. He felt bad upsetting her. He walked into the spare room.
"What's wrong, Micky?" Peter asked.
"Um well she's upset because we're so loud in here. She would like you both either to take a nap or leave." Micky said.
"Naomi will kill me if we leave you two alone again, Micky." Peter said. "She wants us to stay here until they arrive."
"Well, then go back to my apartment and hang out instead. You're not really leaving us alone, you're just not 'here,' Peter."
"She's upset about something else too, isn't she Micky?" Davy asked.
"Yes, but that's personal. Please be quiet." Micky said. "I need to go check on her for a while."
"We'll be quiet, Micky. Tell her we're sorry for upsetting her." Davy said.
"Thanks," Micky said closing the door to the spare room and walking inside the bedroom. Elaine walked out of the bathroom and saw Micky there.
She had put her hair up into pigtails like a little girl and smiled at Micky saying, "I need to practice if one is a little girl." Then she climbed into the bed with her back against Micky's chest and started to cry.
Micky felt absolutely helpless. He didn't know what to do for her to make her feel better. He wrapped his arms around her and held her until she fell asleep. He also quietly let the tears flow down his cheeks as well. He, too, was scared about the future not knowing what was going to happen.
Meanwhile, in the spare room, Peter and Davy talked very quietly amongst themselves. "What do you think she said to him?" Davy asked.
"I think she reminded him of a promise he made to her and made him feel guilty for it." Peter said. "She's like Naomi and Naomi throws things in my face when I forget something."
"I see." Davy said. "What about?"
"Don't know," Peter said. "But the look on his face was not a good one."
"Poor guy," Davy said. "Those girls are really demanding, aren't they?"
"They're women, Davy. No different than any others except for one thing. They are very much into the Lord and that makes them shine like nothing else."
"I wonder what they're doing right now?" Davy asked.
Peter looked around the room they were in and saw the computer. "Hey you want to see if they have the internet service?"
"Actually the laptop is Micky's. I'm sure he wouldn't mind if we used it for a while." Davy said.
"Yeah, I don't want to use anything that is hers, especially with her sensitivity right now." Peter said. They quietly opened the laptop and awww'd when they saw the desktop picture of Elaine sleeping. "Who would have thought Micky would find his one and only true love?" Peter asked quietly.
"Not me," Davy replied.
"I'll be back in a minute, I want to check on them. They've been really quiet for over an hour now." Peter said.
"Okay, I'll continue playing with his laptop." Davy said.
Peter quietly crept into the livingroom and peeked in the bedroom. He heard nothing but snoring coming from both Micky and Elaine. "Awww," he quietly said in his mind. They had both gone to sleep. He gently and quietly closed the door and then went into the bathroom. Elaine had everything neatly organized and labeled. Peter was very impressed.
Davy jumped when a message popped up, "Hey you, long time no see." it read.
He looked at the name of the sender and didn't recognize it. "Who is this?" he typed back. "This is Davy, not Micky."
"Davy, where's Micky?" the message asked.
"Who is this first?" Davy typed back.
"This is Louise, Elaine's friend. "DUH!"
"Oh sorry, Louise, didn't recognize the name." Davy typed back.
"We're in a hotel in Nevada tonight. We should be in California tomorrow. How is Elaine doing?"
"She's having a rough time, but she's fine. She's missing her mother." Davy typed.
"Yeah her mother has been less than kind to Elaine since she left for California without telling her." Louise typed back.
"That's too bad, Louise." Davy typed.
"Yes, it is. We've tried. Well I should say Sam and Naomi have tried to give the woman a piece of their mind, but she just doesn't care." Louise typed back.
"That is so sad." Davy answered.
"Yes, it's been rough on Laney." Louise typed. "Oh hang on, Naomi wants to say hi."
"Okay," Davy replied.
"Davy, what you doing on Micky's laptop for? This is Naomi."
"Just playing around on it, since we're not leaving them alone until you girls arrive." Davy typed.
"How is Laney?" Naomi typed back.
"She's not doing very good. I mean the babies are fine, but she misses her mother." Davy answered. Peter walked in the room and asked, "Who are you messaging?"
"Louise messaged me, so I'm talking to her and now Naomi." Davy answered his friend verbally.
Peter walked over and sat down on the bed next to Davy and they both shared messaging back and forth to the girls for hours completely and totally losing track of time.

When Micky woke up that next day, he found his laptop opened laying on the bed next to the guys and saw that they had been talking to the girls the entire night. He smirked at his friends sleeping on the bed next to each other because they did find a way to keep themselves quiet not to bug Elaine.
When Elaine was finished with her shower, she walked in the bedroom and asked, "How are they doing?"
Micky smirked at her and said, "Well they talked to the girls all night long on my laptop."
"Cool. I can't wait till they get here." Elaine said smiling at Micky.
"And you need to be in bed my dear," Micky said.
Elaine stuck her tongue out at him and said, "I have bathroom privileges Micky, not to mention, I can eat and walk in the kitchen. They said I had to be quiet. I just can't do any housework."
"How are you feeling today?" Micky asked putting his hand on her growing tummy.
"A little better. Still sad about my mom, but you know I chose to leave Massachusetts to start a new life for myself, so I guess it's my fault." Elaine said starting to wipe the tears from her eyes that were quickly forming.
"Come here Elaine," Micky said gently taking his friend into the bedroom sitting her on the bed and having a talk with her. "It is not your fault and you stop that negativity right now. God does not want you to live negatively. If it's meant for her to come and see you, it will happen. Remember what you tell me, Elaine. 'Give it all to the Lord and let him worry about it.' You are a woman wise beyond your years my friend." Their phone started to ring and Micky reached across the bed answering it, "Hello?"
"Micky, it's Mike. How are you and Elaine doing?" he asked.
"Hey Mike, we're fine. How are you feeling? The guys said you were sick." Micky asked.
"Yeah, it was a 24-hour flu bug or something. I took some home remedy Peter made for me before they left about four times and it worked. I was very surprised."
"What did he make for you?" Micky asked knowing very well Peter had bizarre recipes for different things since he was very into natural remedies.
"I don't know actually Micky. All he said was take this potion one teaspoonful four times that night and I will be healed by morning, which, surprisingly, I was." Mike replied.
"Well, that's wonderful. He's sleeping so I can't ask him what it was." Micky said. "Him and Davy kept themselves occupied talking to the girls all night on my laptop."
"HAHA!" Mike laughed. "Peter's so lovestruck by Naomi that it's hilarious!"
"I'm glad he's happy Mike. I'm glad all of us are finally happy." Micky said.
"Yes. Hey I was wondering something. Do you think Elaine would feel up to talking to me for a brief moment?" Mike asked.
"Let me ask her, she's right here getting sick of me feeling her tummy." Micky said taking the phone away from his mouth. "Mike would like to talk to you if you feel able to."
Elaine took the phone smiling at Micky. "Hey Mike, how are you feeling?" she asked.
"Peter's home remedy worked marvels, Elaine. I couldn't believe it." Mike said.
"Haha, he's very talented when he wants to be, isn't he, Mike?" Elaine asked.
"Yes," Mike replied.
Micky kissed Elaine's tummy and then went into the kitchen to make them some breakfast and get Elaine's Iron pills ready for her.
"Well, Elaine, I just wanted to apologize for my behavior at your apartment the other day when I was there saying you were possessed with your special prayer." Mike said.
"Thanks, Mike. I appreciate your apology very much. But you didn't understand it so obviously you had questions. One night when everyone is here, including the girls, I want all four of you guys to be here and me and the girls will explain to each one of you, in great detail, about just how special our prayer is." Elaine replied. "And, from what Sam has told me about you liking her, she would be thrilled to discuss it with you."
"Really?" Mike asked.
"Yes," Elaine replied putting her head on the pillow gently massaging her tummy. "Ouch!" she yelped into the phone.
"You okay, Elaine?" Mike asked.
"Yes," Elaine gasped. "Micky woke the babies up when he kissed my tummy and now one is kicking me."
"Awww," Mike replied. "He is so happy about being a father, Elaine. I can see it in his eyes."
"I wish he would be ready for marriage though, Mike." Elaine said. "Please don't tell him I said that. He would be mad at me for not expressing that to him personally. I know he's not comfortable with marriage yet and I'm not going to push the subject with him. But it would be nice if it did happen."
"Give him time, Elaine. We all know that he loves you very much. When he's quiet and doesn't tell us much about you relationship-wise, we know it's very much sincerely kept inside his heart." Mike said.
"Really?" Elaine asked.
"Yes," Mike replied. "He's not a guy to 'kiss and tell' if you know what I mean. And considering we never knew how serious he was about you up until recently, that proves my point even more."
"Awww," Elaine said. "Thanks for telling me that. It makes me feel much better."
"You're welcome, Elaine." Mike said.
"I'm glad you're feeling better Mike. You'll have to stop over later if you want to," Elaine said.
"Well, I think I'll stay away another day just in case," Mike said. "I don't want to rush into anything too quickly and I know you have to rest as well."
Micky opened the door and Elaine smiled. "Mike, Micky just brought me breakfast in bed, so I have to go now. So glad you're feeling better. Thanks for talking to me."
"You're welcome, Elaine. Tell Micky to call me later." Mike said.
"Thanks, I will." Elaine replied hanging up the phone. "Aren't you just the sweetest?" she said to him smiling.
"Your breakfast is served my darlin'." Micky said handing her the plate full of scrambled eggs and cheese, which he remembered she loved so well. He made her a cup of strawberries and a huge glass of orange juice as well.
"Thank you, Micky." Elaine said taking the plate from him.
"You're very welcome, Elaine." Micky replied sitting next to her eating his plate of food he made for himself as well."
They sat there eating breakfast together and praying. It was a wonderful time of fellowship between the two friends.
Meanwhile, back at the pad, Mike slowly got out of bed and took another teaspoonful of Peter's home made remedy for him and then curled up on the couch to watch some TV. He was relieved to know that Elaine and Micky were doing fine. Mike turned on a movie and fell asleep watching it. He was very relaxed and just wanted to take it easy for the day.
____________________
That following day, Micky woke up to a pounding on the door. He put on his bathrobe and walked to the door.
"Surprise! We're back early!" Samantha, Louise, and Naomi said jumping on the doorway greeting him. "We drove all day and night just so that we could return earlier."
Micky gave them all a hug and said, "Elaine will be absolutely ecstatic."
"How's Laney doing, Micky?" Sam asked.
"She's fine. We had a great day of prayer yesterday and she's doing good." Micky said.
"Where's Peter?" Naomi asked.
"Him and Davy are still crashed out in the spare room. I haven't seen or heard them since yesterday when I checked on them and found the computer."
Naomi walked to Elaine's bedroom and opened the door. Elaine was on her side asleep. Naomi walked into the room and whispered, "Morning Laney, we're back. We love you."
Elaine was still sound asleep. Naomi kissed Elaine's head and greeted the babies with a tummy feel and then walked into the spare room and saw Peter and Davy in the bed together. She giggled just looking at them without killing each other.
"Where's Mike at?" Sam asked.
"He's been sick, Sam, and stayed away for a few days. But he's doing better. I talked with him yesterday and he's doing much better."
"Thanks," Sam said taking a seat on the couch and stretching out. She was exhausted.
Louise's eyes were all glazed over and Micky looked at her, "You okay, Louise?"
"Point me to a couch and I'll be just fine." Louise said. "The U-Haulies are in the street. I believe they are all there, although I haven't a clue."
Micky gave her a hug and said, "Come and lie down."
"Thank you," Louise said walking to the couch and collapsing. She was physically and emotionally exhausted.
___________
That next day when Mike found out the girls were back (from Micky's phone call) and he was feeling much, much, better, he came over to the apartment to see them all. He actually gave Elaine a kiss and tummy feel, then went to the couch Samantha was passed out on and lifted her up and slid behind her on the couch relaxing her body onto his chest. He held her in his arms and went back to sleep while everyone else was still asleep except for Elaine and Micky who were having prayer sessions.
"The gang's all here," Elaine said joyfully.
"Yes, they are," Micky said giving her a hug and kiss.
"Praise God!" she said lifting her arms to the sky blowing the Lord a kiss.
"I can't believe Peter and Davy have been asleep for two days," Micky said.
"The girls wore them out on the computer I guess." Elaine said laughing quietly.
"Must have." Micky said.
Micky and Elaine had a wonderful day of preparation on when their Lamaze sessions would be taking place after Elaine's doctor's appointment earlier that day. She had been released to go back to work, however, at night, she had to do nothing but sit and relax. (She also found out that she had gained another five pounds, which made her very happy. She was not overweight at all, due to both the babies inside her. She also rejoiced knowing that she was a happy and healthy weight, and that both babies were doing absolutely fine).
She couldn't do any standing at work, except for sitting on a stool when she was at the copier. Which, Elaine was very happy about, as her boss was not thrilled about her having to take more time off of work because of the pregnancy.
After dinner that night, since everyone else was sleeping, Micky and Elaine shared a quiet dinner in the bedroom with candles lit and soothing music playing, they celebrated the completion of Elaine's four-day bedrest with lamaze class planning, with them both taking a hot shower, and then Micky massaging Elaine's back and shoulders for a while before massaging her tummy. He felt the babies kicking ever so slightly against his gentle pressured fingers pressing on her tummy.
Micky climbed in the bed behind Elaine and held her all night long so she could sleep upright and not have to be on her side, since she was tired of side sleeping. He loved her so very much that he would do anything for her, including one day marrying her before the babies were born, which, in fact, Micky had been privately thinking about doing for a while now, especially after the scare at the hospital when he realized just how short life was. He knew that it would be the right thing to do, especially since Elaine was his true love of his life.
_______________________
Friday, Elaine had gone to work and took it very easy. She sat at her desk most the day and just typed. Her boss brought everything to her, including lunch and flowers which really brightened her day. "We've missed you here, Elaine." her boss said.
"Thank you," Elaine replied. "I've missed here too. I love the flowers and card, and the food was delicious."
"You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed it," her boss said to her. Elaine smiled as she continued to massage her tummy after her lunch had filled her up to the core. It was so delicious.
While Elaine was at work that day, Micky helped Peter move into his apartment as promised, and Naomi and the girls were busy talking with the landlord about their new places being ready on time. They were still staying at Elaine's in the meantime, as they were still off work because they were not starting their new jobs for at least another week.
When Elaine's car pulled into the parking lot that night, Naomi yelled to Micky, "She's home."
Micky walked out the door to greet Elaine and help her inside. "How was your day?" he asked.
"Exhausting, absolutely exhausting." Elaine replied. "My boss bought me lunch and flowers and during my lunch hour, I actually fell asleep at the desk. I was not used to staying awake long periods. Thankfully my boss wasn't mad when I was found asleep."
"Now you sit down and relax just like the doctor ordered." Micky said helping her into the livingroom.
"I need a shower, Micky, before doing anything. This suit is absolutely exhaustingly hot in and I'm having a hot flash." Elaine said.
Elaine took a shower and when she opened the shower curtain, she found a box sitting on the toilet seat. "What is this?" she asked walking to it. She opened it up and it was a pair of pajamas that said, "New Mommy-To-Be" on it. "Awwww, they are absolutely gorgeous!" Elaine said crying out as she put them on and they fit her absolutely perfectly. "Thank you everyone!" she said crying walking out to them in the livingroom.
"You're welcome sweetie," Naomi said giving her friend a hug. "Micky picked them out for you. We just kind of helped with the size."
Elaine walked over to Micky and gave him a hug and kiss. "Thank you so much."
"You're welcome gorgeous. Now you need to rest." Micky said.
Elaine kicked her feet up on the couch while Micky made sure her slippers were on her feet and then covered her up with four blankets. Everyone gathered around Elaine and gave her hugs and kisses. There was a knock on the door and Micky opened it. The three guys walked in with pizzas. "Dinner's here."
Elaine's mouth started to water. She hadn't had pizza in a while and she was craving it that night. "Mmmmm, smells delish." she said. "Thank you boys."
They walked over to her and gave her a hug and kiss and felt the babies. Micky dished Elaine up a plate full of pizza and brought her a Coke for celebration of her first day back at work after her break. Elaine was so extremely happy she couldn't believe the generosity of her friends; not to mention, she was so happy her girlfriends were living near her again. She had the best friends in the entire world.
