"And the kid's name is Danny right?" the cop asked.
"Davy!" Mike cried.
"Davy?"
"It's short for David." Peter explained.
The cop gave Peter a funny look.
"Right. Look there's no sign of fawl play or a struggle. No sign of a break in. Are you sure Danny-"
"Davy!"
"Are you sure Davy didn't just spend the night somewhere? Did you guys ever fight or anything?"
"No. I mean we'd have an arguement sometimes but nothing major." Micky shrugged.
"Well if we see him we'll let you know." the cop said.
"Are you even going to look for him?" Peter asked.
"Sure kid. When we find more leagues." the cop said. He then left three disappointed Monkees.
"Guys if we want to find Davy. We'll have to find him ourselves." Mike said.
"Start checking mirrors." Peter shivered.
"It was just a story." Micky groaned.
"Does anyone have anything againest Davy? Like hold a grudge againest him?" Mike asked.
"No one I know." Micky replied.
"The lady in the mirror does." Peter said.
"There is no lady in the mirror!" Micky yelled.
"Calm down! Yelling at each other isn't going to solve anything! So stop yelling!" Mike yelled.
"You're the only one yelling now." Micky smirked. Mike sighed.
"Maybe he was robbed. And the robbers beat him up or something." Micky guessed. Mike shot him an angry look. "You're a ray of hope Mick." he snapped.
"Well I don't know! All I know is he's gone!"
"What if he never comes back?" Peter asked with tears in his eyes.
"We'll find him Pete. Don't worry." Micky patted his back.
"Hungry?" Fern asked brightly.
"How do I know you didn't put anything in it?" Davy asked.
"Because you're my partner. Now eat up! You'll need your strength for the talent show."
Fern sat the food down.
"How'm I supposed to eat? You've got my hands tied." Davy pointed out.
"I'll untie you. But remember. You run I shoot."
Right then Davy couldn't run anyway. He was feeling very weak from hunger and from being tied up for so long. He chewed on his cheeseburger.
"Mother'll be so happy when she hears I'm back in show business!" Fern grinned.
"My friends are looking for me. They'll find me and when they do. You're going to be in alot of trouble." Davy said firmly.
"They better not show up for the talent show! They ruined it once before. But not this time! Nothing's going to stand in the way of my victory!" Fern yelled.
"I wish Mike were here!" Davy whimpered.
