Mike scratched the side of his head wondering what the police could possibly have on them. Davy stared at the coffee mug on Det. Troy's desk. He was breathing nervously.
"Very tumultuous times we live in, wouldn't you say?" Troy asked.
"Yeah, well you know, being labeled 'long haired weirdoes' and the older generation not taking you seriously would do that to you." Mike quipped. Davy gave him a hard nudge.
"Can you tell me where you were on the night of 20th, gentlemen? Of course, you both have the right to refuse to answer any questions and you have the right to counsel." Troy said as he sat down.
"We have nothing to hide" Mike said trying to mask a defensive tone.
"Oh yeah, on the 20th, we did a gig at the Vincent Van Goh Goh" Davy replied.
Troy: Did you see anything unusual or suspicious there?
Mike: Suspicious- no. Unusual well, there's always something unusual going on there
Troy: Elaborate
Mike: Well, on the 20th, the Frogs opened for us.
Troy: The "Frogs"?
Davy: Yeah, they usually don't open for us. They open for the Blueberry Wristwatches."
Troy: Blueberry Wrist?----um, never mind. Why was that so unusual?
Mike: The Blueberry Wristwatches were opening for the Psychedelic Jellyfish.
Davy: "I guess you've never heard of them."
Troy: (still trying to mentally digest the names of the bands) "That would be correct."
Mike: (with mock friendliness) "You really should give the Jellyfish a listen. They have a new record called "Painting rainbows on my iguana." (he hums a few bars)
Troy reached opened his desk drawer and took out a tranquilizer. He gulped it down hoping it would take effect soon.
"Excuse me, gentlemen." Troy said politely as he left the room. He walked across the hall and knocked on the door where Liu was questioning Peter and Micky. Liu opened the door.
"Can I talk to you in private, Chang?"
"Of course." Liu said as he excused himself from the room.
"There were other bands playing the night of the crime. The Frogs, the Wristwatches and the Psychotic Jellyfish were all there that night." Troy said.
"I believe its Psychedelic." Liu said.
"Still, we can't detain them. Not until we listen to the Wristwatches and talk to the Jellyfish." Troy said as he retreated into thought. Liu agreed and both officers returned to their respective rooms and dismissed the band. "Talk to the Jellyfish?" Liu said as he thought to himself. "We live in some crazy times".

Peter gently rolled up the large piece of black velvet. "I think Kait is going to like this". He said proudly.
"Pete, do you really think you should be visiting her now after we spent some time in 'cop shop'?" Micky asked.
"Sure, what's wrong with a "peace-sign"? Peter replied. "Well, nothing if you're us. "I think it'll be a cool surprise for her." Peter said as he glanced at the gift. "I don't think she has use for it." Davy reiterated.
"Everyone can use a little peace" Peter smiled, as he gave the peace symbol with his fingers. The guys returned the gesture and Peter left.
------------
Later that evening, Liu came home from work. He slowly turned the key and stepped inside the house. On the wall, was a rainbow colored "peace" sign on a black velvet backdrop. "Kait- what the hell is that on the wall?!" he shouted.
"Oh, Peter gave this to me. It's a peace-sign. What do you think?" She asked. Liu just shook his head.
Kait: I would love to go to a peace march. I can leave the children with my mother for a few hours. After all, the march is for good cause- human rights for all people.
Liu looked at her as if she was crazy.
Kait: (with a tone of excitement) I'll be marching for your rights, too!
Liu: I like my life just the way it is- without any rights. (He opens the lid of the pot on the stove).
Kait: Then I want to go to a sit-in. I want to make a difference.
Liu: Kait, how about you go to a 'Cook-in' and get dinner on the table, and you're not going to any of those so called 'peace rallies'. They're too dangerous. I don't want you getting hurt.
Kait: I want to help change this world.
Just then, five month old Kevin woke up crying. "I think you better change the baby first." Liu said following her into the nursery.
"You know, we questioned the guys today. They may know something about the homicide at that Go-go place." He said.
"Those guys are the sweetest four guys on earth and they wouldn't hurt anyone." Kait said as she picked up Kevin.
"Yeah, yeah, peace love and rainbows." Liu said mockingly.
Kait looked away and rolled her eyes. "I hope the guys aren't in any trouble." she said.
