"It's my fault, Ma'am." Micky said quickly, "I pulled her in here."
"Oh no, it's all HER fault." Estella answered, "I'm on to you, you deceitful snake. I feel your power." Estella said to Elizabeth, "I've been busy all morning with customers returning records that have been wiped clean."
"How is that my fault?" Elizabeth asked innocently, slowly putting herself between the old witch and Micky.
"Because it's only Ritzy Records that have been affected." Estella replied, advancing on them, her eyes turning red. "Those that are carrying the Master's messages."
"Your master, not mine, Estella, or should I call you Lady Estelle, Duchess of Gritzwell?" The angel asked. "Favorite mistress of Henry the Eighth."
"Yes, I am a duchess." Estella said proudly, "And while you claim to be so holy, you are nothing but a reformed prostitute! But now I see you're trying out your old life again with a customer!"
"Leave her alone, you...you old witch!" Darlene shouted at Estella.
Estella turned to Darlene and gave her an evil smile. "Is that supposed to be an insult, girl?"
"Darlene, stay out of this." Elizabeth warned.
"No, she has no right to call you those things!" Darlene replied.
"I have all the right in the world, mortal." The old witch laughed, raising her hand. Before Elizabeth could do anything, Estella sent a red ball of light crashing into Darlene. She screamed and collapsed to the floor.
"Darlene!" Elizabeth shouted.
Customers and employees stopped what they were doing and looked over. Elizabeth shouted to them:
"There's a gas leak! Darlene has been injured! Everyone leave the store now!"
Everyone quickly ran out of the store. Elizabeth shot a white bolt of light at the old witch. Estella deflected it with her hand.
"Is that the best you can do, little angel?" Estella sneered, "You've met you match in me!"
Suddenly, Estella was smacked over the head with an album. She turned to be confronted by an angry Darlene.
"Is that the best you can do, old witch?" Darlene sneered.
Estella looked at Darlene in total shock. "You should be dead!"
"The angel pin I gave you seemed to have come in handy, Darlene." Elizabeth smiled. "The blessing I put on it protected you from her evil."
Faster than thought possible, Estella ripped the angel pin from Darlene's dress-then screamed in pain as the pin burned her hand!
She dropped the pin on the floor. Elizabeth took advantage of the distraction to send another but stronger beam of light at the witch. Estella flew off her feet and crashed into the record racks.
"Micky, get Darlene out of the way!" Elizabeth shouted.
Micky pulled Darlene into the listening booth and closed the door.
Though Estella was old, she still had a lot of strength in her. Within seconds, she was on her feet and ready to fight once again.
"You won't stop my master from getting the souls of his friends!" The old witch shouted. She sent off another red beam at the angel.
This time, however, Elizabeth deflected it so that the beam would hit ricochet around the store. There was a great explosion as every record in the store was smashed to pieces by the beam! Micky and Darlene ducked down as debris went flying against the booth.
"Thanks, my lady!" Elizabeth smiled, "You saved me a lot of trouble!
"You whore!" Estella screamed at the angel.
"Not so smart now are you, evil woman, you who encouraged Henry the Eighth to seek a divorce from his wife Catherine; but when the Pope refused, convinced him to break away from the Catholic Church and form the Church of England." Elizabeth accused.
"Yes, that was my crowning glory!" Estella shot back, "I was made a witch queen for that!" She waved hers hands in a circle and Elizabeth was enveloped in a cloud of black smoke.
The angel began to choke. Micky came out of the booth, grabbed her shoulders and pulled her out of the smoke. Once again, Estella fired a red beam at both of them. Suddenly, Elizabeth felt a rush of power flow from Micky's hands and strengthen her. The angel raised her hands to deflect Estella's beam-and the beam reflected back so hard at Estella she was literally knocked out of her shoes and went flying against the far wall of the store. With a groan, she slid down the wall and onto the floor, where she stayed motionless.
Elizabeth looked at Micky in shock.
"What happened?" Elizabeth asked.
"You defeated that witch, that's what, sweetheart." Micky replied.
"No, when you touched me just before that last shot, I felt great power. It greatly strengthened my shield and even amplified her beam back at her."
"You did? I mean, it did?" Micky asked, puzzled, "I didn't feel a thing."
Darlene poked her head out of the listening booth. "Is it safe to come out now?"
"Yes, Darlene." Elizabeth replied, still staring at Micky. Darlene timidly made her way over to Micky and the angel. Elizabeth put a hand on her shoulder.
"Are you alright?"
"I think so. What's going on, who are you?" She asked Elizabeth in a frightened voice.
"It's a long story, Darlene." Micky replied, "But right now let's just say Elizabeth's one of the good guys."
"Elizabeth?" Darlene repeated, "I thought your name was Chris?"
"I often use different names while I'm on assignment." The angel replied, "When this is over, I'll explain." She looked at Micky. "What time is it?"
Micky looked at his watch. "It's a few minutes before noon."
"No time to take the normal way to Jynger's office." Elizabeth said, "We'll have to use the heavenly way."
"What about her?" Micky asked, pointing at Estella. "Is she dead?"
"No, but she'll have a bad headache when she gets up." Elizabeth replied, "Ready to go?"
"Wait, take me with you!" Darlene begged, "I don't want Estella to come after me."
The angel looked over at the old witch sprawled on the floor. "I think she'll have other things to worry about once her dark master finds out what happened." Elizabeth said with a smile. "But it might be safer with us. Just stay out of the way. You promise?"
"I promise." Darlene nodded.
The angel looked over at the door to the back room and closed her eyes for a few seconds. Suddenly, there were loud explosions as all the records in the back cracked and exploded as well.
Then, she, Micky and Darlene joined hands. Just as the first police and fire trucks arrived, the three disappeared.
