Same warnings as last chapter. This chapter is mostly one long fight scene.
Jynger's body started to breath, and her mouth opened slightly, then closed. Synthea rushed over to her sister's table.
"Jynger? Jynger, can you hear me?" Synthea shouted, grabbing her sister's hand.
"No, not yet." Keith said, "Her soul needs to be returned to her." He looked over at his master.
"Master, do it now!" He cried.
But Satan merely stared at Jynger's body.
"Please sir!" Synthea cried, then looked back down at her sister.
To her shock, Jynger began to shake, her breathing became irregular...and then stopped.
"What's going on?" Synthea demanded of Keith.
"I don't know..." Keith said, "I did everything the spell book said to do..."
"She just needs more blood, right?" Synthea asked frantically. She turned the knob of the IV pump to increase the blood flow, but it snapped off in her hand.
"You're doing this to her!" Synthea screamed at Elizabeth.
"All I did was shut off the IV pump when I burst the bubble." The angel calmly replied.
"Her body is rejecting his blood, you idiot." Satan snapped as Jynger continued to shake.
"What?" Keith exclaimed, "But...but I followed the spell down to the letter! Nesmith has that special blood!"
"But did you check to see if Jynger and Nesmith were compatible blood types?" Satan asked, his eyes narrowing. "Their blood still needs to be a match."
Keith could only stare open-mouthed at his master.
"Jynger is O negative." Synthea said, not wanting to believe what she was seeing and hearing.
"And what type is Nesmith?" Satan asked the witch and wizard.
"Obviously not compatible." Elizabeth said, gently pulling the needle from Mike's arm. "His blood also has unique antigens to make it useless for evil purposes." She then held her hand at the puncture site, healing the wound instantly.
"NO! This can't be happening! Master, do something!" Synthea cried.
"It's over, Synthea." Elizabeth said, "I'm sorry Jynger died, I really am. But it's time to realize that what's done is done. You can't go back."
"No it isn't done." Keith said quickly, "I'll search the world looking for another donor and I'll do the spell again!"
"No you won't." Satan said, "I'm taking my book back and giving it to someone more competent."
Satan looked over at the stand where the Black Dragon's book rested...but it was gone!
"Where's my book?" Satan thundered.
"Is this what you're looking for?" Peter called out.
Everyone turned to see Peter standing a short distance away, holding the book in his hands.
"Give that to me, boy." Satan demanded, "You have no idea what you're holding."
"All I know is that this book is evil and shouldn't be owned by anyone...especially you." Peter said, then tried to pour his holy water on the book, but the bottle was empty.
Gwen, now becoming brave when the fighting stopped, had by now come out from hiding and was walking toward Peter.
"Peter, behind you!" Darlene shouted.
Suddenly, Gwen grabbed the spell book and she and Peter began a tug of war with it.
"Give it to me!" Gwen shouted.
"I bought it from you, so it's mine!" Peter shouted back.
"I'll give you fifty-percent off the price of another book!" Gwen promised.
"Not even if you gave me a book for free!" Peter responded.
Darlene rushed toward Peter and Gwen, her Katana held high.
"Leave him alone, witch!" She said shouted.
Gwen saw Darlene running toward her and immediately let go of the book. Satan rolled his eyes.
"I'm surrounded by idiots!" He shouted, then making a pulling motion with his hands, the book flew from Peter's grasp and toward him.
Elizabeth however shot a bolt of light at the book, sending it flying away from him. It landed on the far side of the room. Peter and Darlene ran to get it. Gwen tried to go after it too, but a warning swing from Darlene's Katana stopped her in her tracks.
Satan let out an unholy scream and suddenly Peter and Darlene were thrown against the wall and held there, Darlene's Katana clattered to the ground.
"Peter! Darlene!" Davy, Micky and Elizabeth shouted.
Meanwhile, Davy had moved to the head of Mike's table and had removed his gag and was working on the straps on Mike's arms while Margaret was working on the legs. Synthea was crying over her sister.
"Oh Jynger, I'm sorry! I tried!" She sobbed, then looked over at Keith
"This is all your fault, you incompetent moron!" She shouted.
"My fault?" Keith shouted back, "I did everything right, you didn't check to see if Nesmith's blood was compatible!" He looked down at Mike.
"I've memorized the spell. If he can't resurrect your sister, perhaps he could resurrect someone else..." He whispered to Synthea.
Across the room, Gwen ran over to the spell book, but Satan suddenly appeared next to it and shoved her aside.
"Out of the way, you stupid twit." He told Gwen. "You're a witch, remember? You could've easily taken the book from them." Satan then calmly bent down to pick the book up off the floor.
"I'll take this if you don't mind." He said to Peter and Darlene.
"We do mind." Elizabeth said, instantly standing in front of him, Micky behind her. The angel's foot was planted firmly on the spell book.
"Devil, we rebuke you in the name of Jesus." Elizabeth and Micky said together, "Leave us alone. You have no power over us at all. We are God's children, not yours."
As Elizabeth and Micky were speaking, they began to glow bright white. When they had finished, a white burst of light came from them. Satan was thrown hard against the wall, causing it to crack. Peter and Darlene were suddenly released and they dropped to the ground.
Satan shouted, "I will be back!" He disappeared in a flash of fire.
Peter and Darlene looked at Elizabeth and Micky in awe.
"Did...we do that?" Micky asked the angel.
Gwen again tried to pick up the spell book, but the angel suddenly had the Katana at Gwen's throat, forcing the witch to straighten up and look at her.
"Leave that book alone." Elizabeth said, her eyes glowing white.
"Please don't kill me." Gwen whimpered.
Faster than the eye could see, Elizabeth brought the Katana down and in two quick moves sliced off Gwen's robe. The witch was left standing there in a short black slip.
"I won't kill you, but I suggest you put on the mantle of Christ instead of evil." Elizabeth said. "Now get out of here."
Gwen nodded and disappeared in a puff of black smoke. Elizabeth then broke the Katana over her knee and tossed the pieces aside.
"The master's gone, we better get him out of here." Synthea told Keith.
Davy and Darlene had just finished freeing Mike by this time, when Keith and Synthea pushed them out of the way and went for Mike.
"No, leave him alone!" Davy shouted.
"Stop, you two!" Elizabeth called over.
But Synthea and Keith grabbed Margaret and Davy and forced the two in front of them.
"No, you better leave us alone, angel." Keith replied, as Synthea "Or something bad might happen to your friends."
Behind Keith, Mike was slowly sitting up. His head was spinning and he saw yellow spots in front of his eyes, but face was one of anger.
"You should do as you're told, jerk." Mike rasped, then punched Keith in his kidneys.
Keith yelled, released Margaret and bent over in pain. Davy brought his foot up and then stamped down hard on Synthea's ankle. She yelped and let go of Davy, while Mike wrapped his arms around Keith and pulled him away from Margaret.
But the wizard suddenly jumped backwards against Mike's table, knocking Mike off balance. Still, Mike kept pulling on Keith until the two of them tumbled off the other end of the table.
"You've got spunk, kid." Synthea said to Davy, raising her hand, "I'll bet you'd make an excellent witch!"
"Me?" Davy asked, appalled, "I'd never be a dirty witch like you!"
"Really?" Synthea asked, "Check your own family history, Jones. The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree."
"Enough of this." Elizabeth said, walking over with Micky right behind her. A ball of blue light was forming between her hands. Synthea's eyes grew wide in fear.
"Sophia, Alice, help me!" Synthea yelled then zapped the other two witches, still unconscious on the floor. They regained consciousness instantly and began to get up. Julia had disappeared from the room. Before either Sophia or Alice could do anything, Elizabeth split the blue ball in two and threw it at the witches. It hit them and knocked them down once again. The angel created a purple ball this time between her hands.
"I suggest you two get out of here, before I really get mad." She said.
Sophia and Alice looked at each other, nodded and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
"Come back here!" Synthea screamed into the empty air.
"Looks like it's your turn, dear." Elizabeth said.

On the floor nearby, Keith and Mike were still wrestling, with Mike managing to land a blow every so often. Suddenly, Julia was there kneeling next to them.
"Break it up boys." She said, pushing Keith away and then pulling Mike closer to the wall. Keith was curled up in a ball groaning, with blood coming from his nose.
"Take it easy Mike." She said, caressing his hand, "Save your strength."
"What do you want?" Mike panted.
"I want you to come with me." Julia said simply.
"Why? So your boss can use my blood to resurrect someone else, like Jack the Ripper?" Mike asked.
"No, I'll talk to my master." She replied, "He'll make you rich and famous! We can be together, you, me and the baby! We'll live in my mansion in Louisiana!"
"No, you come with me." Mike countered, "Give up your witchcraft, embrace the Lord! We can be together with our child and we'll make it."
"No, this is all I've known, Mike." Julia said, "My mother was a witch and I was taught this way since I was little. I couldn't survive without my powers."
"Not true, you can make it. I'll help you, Elizabeth can help you." Mike insisted.
Mike and Julia just stared at each other.

Synthea took a step back from Elizabeth and Micky. She pointed up at the ceiling, and chunks of concrete started to rain down on them. Elizabeth quickly knocked them away.
"Is that the best you can do?" Micky taunted.
"Watch out!" Darlene shouted.
The angel and Micky looked up to see a bookcase from the floor above them crash through the hole in the ceiling that Synthea had made. Micky shoved Elizabeth forward as he jumped back. The heavy wooden bookcase and the books it contained hit the floor hard. It splintered and several pieces went flying. Micky was hit with a board and he fell down.
"Micky are you ok?" Elizabeth shouted.
"I'm fine sweetheart." Micky replied, but he was rubbing his shoulder.
Elizabeth turned back to Synthea, her eyes glowing white.
"That was a mistake, Synthea." She said slowly. "A big mistake."
The angel made a waving motion with her hand and Synthea was suddenly knocked off her feet. The witch saw the look in the angel's eyes and knew she was in big trouble. She shakily got to her feet.
"Wait, let's talk about this!" Synthea begged as Elizabeth came toward her.
"Sure, Syn...you know, Synthea is a fitting name for you as the first syllable of your name is sin." Elizabeth smiled, but there was no humor in it.
"So what do you want to talk about?" She asked, then slapped Synthea across the face, "About how you sought out a spell book that could bring misery to untold millions?" She demanded, then slapped Synthea again. "About how your demons killed a priest?" Slap. "How your demons attacked my dear friend Peter?" Elizabeth went to slap Synthea again but the witch blocked her hand. The angel simply slapped Synthea with her other hand.
"Or do you want to talk about how you turned an innocent woman into a kitten when she didn't take your so-called advice?" Elizabeth slapped Synthea again.
"I'll bet she can't even write a bad check." Margaret said from behind Elizabeth, unable to resist one more jab.
"How about we talk about you trying to kill my dear friend Mike?" The angel shouted, raising her hand again.
"Please, no more!" Synthea begged, holding her hands up in front of her reddened face.
Elizabeth grabbed Synthea by the front of her gown and forced her onto the table where Mike had been held. The angel waved her hands and Synthea found herself strapped to the table and gagged in the same way Mike had been. For extra measure, Elizabeth put her holy power on the bonds so Synthea couldn't use her witchcraft to get free.
"Now you stay right there, Sindy." Elizabeth told her, "I'm sure your evil master will want to talk to you about your failure."
Synthea shook her head and moaned, but Elizabeth was already moving away. The angel's eye had found Mike and Julia still sitting next to each other on the floor.
"Get away from him, Julia." Elizabeth warned her.
"No Elizabeth, it's ok." Mike said, "Leave her alone." He turned to Julia once more, "Please, come with me." He whispered.
"I can't, Mike." Julia whispered back, then looked over at Elizabeth and the others, "I'm leaving and I'll be good...for now." She said a little more loudly, then looked back at Mike. "I'll see you around...papa Nez." She smiled, kissed Mike on the cheek and disappeared in a puff of smoke.
Before anyone could question Mike about his behavior toward Julia, everyone's attention was directed at Keith climbing to his feet. His clothes were torn and disheveled and his face was a mess.
"And last and certainly least, we have Keith Locksley." Davy said.
"You'll find me harder to beat than Synthea." The wizard boasted to Elizabeth.
"It looks like Mike's already beaten you." The angel replied, when suddenly the ground beneath their feet rumbled and began to shake. For the first time since the fight began, Elizabeth looked afraid.
"I'll have to deal with you another time, wizard." The angel said quickly. She snapped her fingers and Keith disappeared.
"What did you do with him?" Margaret asked.
"Not now, we have to get out of here." Elizabeth replied. She stretched out her hand and Keith's staff flew over to her. Another wave of her hand and the TV camera caught fire. "Everyone gather round." The angel ordered.
"I have the book, Elizabeth." Peter said as he and Darlene ran over.
The flagstones beneath them started to glow red. The angel and Micky picked Mike up off the ground. Instantly Mike felt stronger and more steady on his feet.
Seeing that everyone was accounted for, Elizabeth bowed her head and they all disappeared.
