Part 7

Arthur sat at the table watching as Melody fixed Madam's breakfast.

"She's down right mean," Melody complained.

"She's upset over Hillary. I'm getting ready to go back to the beach.

"If I were her, I would say good riddance to this place. She's a fine young girl who needs to see what it's like out there. All Madam tells her is to play the piano. Hillary has a big heart."

"Well, we are just the hired help. But I do agree with you." Arthur stood up. "Hopefully I won't be long. If I don't find her this time, I'm afraid we'll have to call the authorities."

Melody shook her head. "Madam would say it would be a scandal in that. Poor Hillary."

"Wish me luck that it won't come to that."

Davy stepped over to Mike while they were taking a break from their game.

"Whatcha thinking about?" he asked Mike.

"I know Beth, we met her."

"Cool." Davy turned to shout, when Mike put his hands over his mouth.

"Shh.shh." Mike told him. "I don't want to tell her. At least not yet."

"Why not?" Davy asked.

"Because when I met her last, she wasn't happy. Maybe this was meant to be, at least for now."

Davy watched as Peter helped Hillary up when they finished their drinks.

"So we just let her be for now, not remembering?"

"I think so." Mike watched her smile and start playing tag with a few others that were hanging out at the beach. "Just don't say anything okay."

"But someone bound to be looking for her."

"We'll take it as it comes Davy."
