Peter sat in his room and began playing a song. It was the song that had pre-occupied him. It was the song that caused the riff between him and the guys.
Peter strummed his acoustic guitar and sang:
Love is understanding,
Don't you know that this is true?
Love is understanding,
It's in everything we do.
Peter was interrupted in his song by a soft knock on his door. As he placed the guitar beside the bed, he knew his visitor was his sister.
"Hey Pete!! That sounded good! Wait till the guys-----" she stopped in mid-sentence. She was careful not to mention the guys to Peter. It made him somewhat sadder.
"It's OK, Petra. I was really working on it for the band. But now I guess I'll just work on it for me." Peter sighed.
"Well, uh, what's it called?" Petra asked.
"I don't know. We'll just have to see when I finish it." Peter answered.
"I like it. 'Love is understanding'. That's beautiful, Peter." Petra said.
"Yeah, Love is understanding." Peter repeated as he began to strum the rest of the song.
Petra sat and listened to the melody that her brother strummed. 'Yes Peter.' she thought. 'Love is understanding and its coming for you.'
