A/N: Petra is a character that I created as Peter's little sister. She is a young, energetic girl who has the 'Tork dimpled smile' but with a little mischief. She occasionally visits the boys at the Pad.

Having to walk the rest of the way to Storrs from Mansfield, Connecticut, Peter arrived at his home late at night. To Peter this was a mixed blessing. His parents and Petra would be asleep so he could slip in the house quietly. He was also glad that he did not have to explain why he had come home.
Upstairs in her bedroom, Petra slept in a peaceful slumber. She dreamed of summer when she could once again go to Malibu to spend time with her brother and his band mates. Suddenly, she was awakened by a sound. It was an all too familiar sound although she had not heard it in a while. Petra knew only one person in the world could make that sound. It happened every time he walked down the hall to his room. But she couldn't be hearing that sound tonight. Peter wouldn't come home in the middle of the night. Getting out of bed, she tip-toed to her door. She opened it just in time to see Peter go into his room.
Petra was glad to see her brother, but was confused as to why he would be home now. Sensing something may have been wrong; Petra crossed the hall and lightly tapped on Peter's door.
The light tapping stirred Peter out of a light rest. He was exhausted from walking the last part of his trip home. After going into his old room, he dropped his bag and sprawled on the bed. Now there was someone at the door. He should have known Petra would be the first to see him. That girl had ears like radar! With a sigh, Peter got up and went to the door. Tired as he was, he always loved seeing his little sister.
"Peter! Peter!" Petra cried as she rushed to hug him.
"Shh! Not so loud! You don't want to wake the folks, do ya?" Peter lightly chided as he returned her hug with a bear hug of his own.
"What are you doing here? Why didn't ya let us know you were coming? Is anything wrong?" Petra asked in a barrage of questions.
"Hey, now. It's cool. I just missed my family. Especially my little sister." Peter said trying to sound cheerful.
"But what about Mi-----," Petra asked, but before she could finish her question, Peter answered.
"They're all fine. Now, I'm kinda tired, so I'll fill ya in tomorrow. Go back to your room and get some sleep." Peter said as he guided Petra to the door.
"I really missed ya 'lil sis."
"I missed you too big bro'." Petra said. She kissed Peter's cheek and went back to her room.
Petra sat in her bed and began to wonder why Peter came home now. He told her that he simply missed his family. Somehow, while that may have been true, it just didn't fit right with the timing. Something was wrong. There was something Peter was not telling. She wondered if the band broke up. If this was true, Peter would face a lot of 'I-told-you-sos' from their father. He had always thought running off to California to find success in a band was a waste of time. Somehow she was going to get to the bottom of this. She'd wait until the morning, but her brother had better have a pretty good explanation.
