The Monkees were at the airport and they were dropping off one of their members, Peter Tork, who was going back to his hometown in Connecticut for a visit. Peter's father was feeling ill, and he promised that he would come and help his mother look after him.
"Well guys I should be gone for about a week." Said the blond.
"You take all the time you need shotgun, and tell the family we said hello." Said Mike as Peter boarded the plane.
"Bye Peter." Said Davy and Micky both, and waved to Peter.
"I hope Peter's dad feels better." Said Davy
"Oh Davy, I'm sure with Peter there it'll help his dad feel better." Said Mike.
"Yeah it will be O.K. babe." Said Micky.
Later the three Monkees went to the Vincent Van Go Go. There was an older guy named Charlie. He was in his mid 50s, he was psychic, and when he saw Mike, Micky, and Davy, he waved to them.
"Excuse me young men." They looked his way
"You means us?" Asked Mike
"Yes I need to talk to you. Come sit with me." They came over to him and sat down.
"So what can we do ya, for Mr...? Asked the Texan.
"Let me introduce myself my name is Charlie, and I happen to be psychic. I know that your the monkees."
"That's right. I'm Mike and this is Micky, and this is Davy. There's another guy name Peter, but he's out of town right now visiting his parents."
"Uh-oh. I was afraid of that."
"What do ya mean? Hey what's this all about Mr?"
"O.K. I'll explain I come here a couple of times a week and I catch you boys playing, and like I said I'm psychic. The last time I came here it was two nights ago, and you boys were here playing I had this senses that wasn't good."
"Um sir, you're starting to make me nervous." Said the curly haired drummer
"Micky cool it will you. Go ahead sir." Said Mike
"Well last night I had a dream. Sometimes my dreams come true. This dream is centered around you young man." He pointed to Mike.
"Me?" Mike looked with wide eyes
"Sir do you have to tell us this? I don't know if I want to hear any bad news about Mike." Said a nervous Davy
"Let him talk Davy. I'll deal with this when the time comes whatever it is."
"O.K. in this dream You dropped your friend off at the airport is that right?"
"Yeah that's true."
"Well it's just you three. When you come home you're going to run into three dogs causing you boys to stay still for a couple of minutes, the next day you'll come back here, I wont be here, but a commotion between two other guys will cause a brunette young lady to land into your arms by bumping into her."
"Well that doesn't sound bad." Said Micky though Davy didn't look too thrilled.
"And what happens on this date?" Said the brit, looking jealous.
"They go on a couple of dates, but then she calls breaking a third date when she gets sick."
"That's not sounding good so far."
"That's not all you'll receive two phone calls, one will be mistaking you for a big celebrity, and then one will mistake you for a woman." Of course the drummer and the brit giggled at that second mistake while the Texan glared at them.
"Can we get on with it?" He said, getting irritated
"Then the last part. At 7 pm there be a big knock on the door, and if you or anybody else opens it? That may be the end. Your life may change."
"But what does that mean will I be dead?
"I can't say. It may turn out to be nothing young man but be prepared."
"Well all I can say is thanks for the warning. I'll look out after myself. If you can excuse me for a moment " Then Mike got up to go to the bathroom shaking his head. "Nah It's got to be just a bad dream he had." He thought to himself.
"Look boys I'm not trying to scare you or you friend, but when I have these type of dreams a lot of them do come true."
"Well we just have to make sure this one doesn't come true. Right Davy?"
"Right. We won't let anything happen to Mike."
When the Monkees came back home they got out of the Monkeemobile. Davy and Micky had worried faces that Mike noticed.
"Come on guys don't be so worried. That's probably some nightmare the guy had. He didn't even say for sure that it'll come true. Like all of a sudden three dogs are going to show up"
"Well were going to be real careful anyway Mike."
"Right Mike, me and Micky swore to the man that we'll look after you." Then right after Davy said that came three dogs looking like they wanted to attack them.
"Uh guys. There's the three dogs!!! Said Micky
"O.K. listen just stay still and don't make eye contact." The Texan instucted them. They stood like statues, yet Micky was still staring at the dog.
"Micky I said no eye contact." Trying not to move his lips much.
"Oh sorry." And he looked up at the sky. The dogs then walked away still growling. They waited until the dogs where gone, and went in the house.
"See, see Mike it's starting with the three dogs.
"No Mick, actually it started when Peter left this morning." He said sarcastically.
"Come on Mike you can't blame Micky for being suspicious."
"Look Davy, I don't want to even think about this, right? I just want to go upstairs and rest. I had a long day." So Mike went upstairs to the bedroom he shared with Micky, leaving the other two Monkees to wonder when or if this dream/prediction will play out.
