"Mike," Peter began.
"What?" Mike asked with a jump.
"What are thinking about?"
"I'm thinkin' about a way to save the park from closing down, Pete."
"How?" Peter wanted to know.
"What if we did give a big concert, then we could give the money to Sue and Elizabeth so they could have everything fixed."
"Oh, Mike, that would be a wonderful thing to do!" Peter exclaimed happily.
"Lets find Micky and Davy so we can tell them," Mike said, "C'mon!"
With that, Mike and Peter set off in search of the other two Monkees.
"Isn't that a pretty flower, Micky?" Judy asked.
"What? Oh! Yes, that's a beautiful flower!" The drummer answered.
Micky got down and sniffed the flower - a little too much. He let out a loud sneeze and Judy let out a laugh.
"You're funny, Micky!" She cried.
"Yeah, I guess I am," He said back.
"Micky, what were you and your friends talking about before?" asked Judy.
"Before when?" Micky asked.
"You were saying something about the merry go-round."
"Oh, that," Micky said, "Well, it needs to be fixed, but Sue and Liz don't have the money to pay for it."
"I've got three dollars saved up!" The little girl said.
"That's a very generous offer, Judy, but you keep your money."
"Maybe there will be a miracle!" Judy said hopefully.
"What kind of miracle?" Micky asked.
"Maybe we'll just find a bunch of money!" She continued.
"Now that would be a miracle," Micky replied.
Micky looked around the park, and then at Judy. Her bright green eyes full of hope.
If only he felt the same way.
