Chapter 10

Peter reached into his bag, pulled out an extra sweater, and handed it to Micky. Micky thanked Peter, and put the sweater on.  He then explained to Mike and Peter what Queen Grizelda did to Davy, as well as the up-coming wedding.

"You're joking?!" mike said in surprise.

"No, the wedding is gonna take place tonight," Micky said.

"Should I call a florist?" asked Peter.

"Peter, this is no time to joke.  Davy's in serious trouble!" said Mike.

Just then, a thought popped into Micky's head.  He wasn't sure if it was the cocoa talking, but he knew he felt something come to him.

"You know Peter, you may be right this time," Micky said.

"Thank you," Peter answered sounding proud.

"What a minute, I don't get it," Mike said sounding confused.

Micky then called Mike and Peter in a huddle.

~~~~~~~
That night, the big event was here.  The place was decorated almost like a Halloween party, than a wedding. Davius stood at the altar, dressed in his entire black suit, waiting for his bride to come.
Just then, three funny looking strangers entered the room, holding different arrangements of what looked sort of like flowers.  It was really Mike, Micky and Peter wearing disguises, so they won't get recognized. One of the trolls got up from his seat, and went up to the strangers.
"What do you what?" he asked in a grinchy tone.
"That's not a very nice way to address people at all," Peter said to the troll.
"Shhh!" went Micky and Mike.
"We're the florists," Mike said in a deep voice.
"You have to see to the groom, cuz we ain't orderin' no flowers!" the troll snapped back.
"Where can we find the groom?" Micky asked in a weird sounding voice.
The troll pointed to where Davy was, without saying a word.
The three then walked up to the altar to meet Davius.  Just then, the organ began to play the wedding march.
At that moment Grizelda appeared, wearing not a white wedding gown, but a black one, complete with a matching veil.
At that moment, Mike gave Peter and Micky a quick nod. They then dropped the 'flowers', grabbed Davius, and raced out of the room.  Grizelda called out to them.
"Come back here with my king!" she shouted.
Everyone turned to her.
"Well? Don't just sit there, stop them! Don't let them get away!"
A few trolls got up and began to chase The Monkees, who were now about to exit the castle.
"Unhand me at once! Davius commanded, Return me to my bride!"
"Man, he's still under the spell," Micky whispered to Mike.
"Peter, get the rope out of your bag!" Mike said.
Peter did that, and the three tied up Davius with it.
Mike got back on his mobile, with Davius tied up with a handkerchief in his mouth as a gag, while Micky drove with Peter.  Mike then radioed Santa on the walkie-talkie.
"Santa, we found them, we're heading back to the Palace."
Santa picked up his walkie-talkie and pushed the button.
"That's great news, Mike." He said happily, "We'll be waiting."
Mrs. Clause, Tic and Toc entered Santa's study.
"What happened?" Mrs. Clause asked.
"Mike and Peter found and rescued Micky and Davy and they're on their way back now."
"Wonderful!" Mrs. Clause exclaimed, "I was so worried about them!"
"Hey boss," Tic said, "You need to come down and see if the new shipment of tricycle wheels are the right size or not."
"I'll be right down, Tic." Santa replied, "Toc, make sure you have a warm welcome ready for the Monkees when they return."
"Right, boss."
With everybody being so busy, nobody noticed the cracks on the basement walls. The trolls were getting close. Very Close.
