Chapter 2

The next day, the guys were hanging around the pad, still in complete shock about meeting Santa.

"So he really does exist, what did I tell you fellas?" said a very happy Peter.

Mike took the card in his hand, and looked over it.

"I'm going to give "Santa" a call to see if this number is even real itself." he said.

Mike dialed the phone, and waited for an answer. Just then, a feminine voice was heard on the other end of the line.

"Hell-o, Santa hotline, May I help you please?" the woman answered in a pleasant voice.

Mike cleared his throat, and spoke into the phone.

"Yes, uh, is Mr. Clause...Santa there?" he asked.

"Hold on one minute sir, I'll put you through."

"Man, it takes me ten minutes just to get a dial tone," said Micky.

"Hell-o, this is Santa," said the jolly man himself.

"Santa, yes this is Mike of the Monkees, yes the group you met last night," Mike spoke in the phone.

"Can I say hi to him?" asked Peter.

"SHH!" went Davy, putting a finger to his lips.

"Oh that was just Peter," Mike continued, "Oh really, hold on. Santa says hell-o to all of us, and we all made the good list this year."

Peter's grin grew bigger, while Micky and Davy's mouths drop to the ground.

Mike continued the rest of the call.

"Yes, yes, O.K. we'll be ready then. Yes sir see you then."

He then hung up the phone.

"So, what was that all about?" asked Davy.

"Santa's gonna pick us up tonight to take us to the North Pole." Mike answered.

"Hey, we better get packing then, said Micky, by the way, how do you dress for the North Pole anyway?"

"Well, we're heading north of course." said Davy.

The guys headed upstairs to pack for their big trip.

Later that evening the guys, dressed in warm clothes, sat outside the pad waiting for Santa.

"I hope we got everything we need." said Peter.

Mike noticed Micky was putting on a pair of sunglasses.

"Why are you wearing those, we're going to the North Pole, not the South Pole." said Davy.

"Davy, there's snow in the South Pole as well," Micky said, "But the sun's rays in the poles are very strong."

"Thank you for the fact Pro. Dolenz," laughed Mike.

"I wonder when Santa is getting here," Peter wondered.

Just then, the guys heard a noise that sounded like a car engine. They looked up and down the roads, but the streets were quiet. A bright light then shone down on them from the sky.

The Monkees looked up in the sky to see something that looked almost like a sports car.

The car was heading straight for the pad!

The bright, red, object made a perfect landing right next to the Monkeemobile.

It was indeed Santa himself!

"You ready boys?" Asked Santa removing his sunglasses, "Boy, the sun is pretty strong at the pole this time of year."

"You bet we're ready Santa!" said Peter.

The guys loaded their suitcases and instruments onto the sled car. Peter sat up front with Santa, while Mike, Davy and Micky were in the back.

Santa then turned the key to his machine, and took off into the sky. Along the way, everyone sang holiday tunes to pass the time on the long trip.

However, little did The Monkees and Santa know, they were being watched, on a screen that is. In a dark castle, located in the South Pole.

"Go ahead and sing your happy little X-Mas tunes, for they will be gone forever, when I get rid of Christmas, forever!!" Shouted the voice of the person looking at the screen.

The voice began to laugh.

The voice was the evil Wizard Glick.
