Chapter 6

"Davy? Davy? Davy?! DAVY????" Micky screamed.

Peter wiggled his finger in his ear.

"Think he heard me?" Micky asked.

"I think everyone in the state of California heard you." Mike groaned.

"Good. Now Davy knows we're looking for him." Peter grinned.

Where is he? Mike thought feeling very worried.

"Guys. I'm scared. What if we never find Davy?" Peter asked looking like he was about to cry.

"Aw Pete. We'll find him. Don't worry." Mike said squeezing his shoulder.

"Yeah. We'll just follow the first pretty girl we see. He's bound to show up sooner or later." Micky joked.

"I'm telling him you said that." Peter said with a light laugh.

Mike sighed.

Peter frowned. "You're worried."

"No I'm not."

"Yes, you are. You always sigh when you're upset." Peter noted.

"Okay. I'm worried. No one's seen him since early this afternoon. Now it's dark and no one knows where he is. What if he's hurt?" Mike again sighed.

"Hey, look there's a bar over there." Micky grinned.

"Davy doesn't drink. Why would he go in there?" Peter asked.

"To find his older uh self. Maybe he went in there. Come on. It's worth a shot. Maybe someone seen him." Mike said. "Let's go."

The three entered. ,p>"Excuse us. We're looking for someone." Mike said trying to be polite.

"Aren't we all?!" a drunk guy sobbed.

"Um...yeah." Micky said nervously.

"He's in his early twenties. He has brown hair, and dark brown eyes. He's five foot three. His name's Davy. Have you seen him? He's been missing since this afternoon." Mike explained.

"Yeah, I seen him! He's not supposed to be here! And neither are you!" a man yelled.

"Please tell me when you seen him you didn't yell at him like you are now." Mike sighed.

"Yeah, I did! He's not supposed to be here!"

"Well way to go. You scared him off." Mike snapped.

"He's not supposed to be here! And neither are you!"

"What are you? A broken record?" Micky asked.

"You're not supposed to be here!"

"Thanks! You've been a big help!" Mike yelped.

The three ran out of the bar.

"That was scary." Micky sighed nervously.

"Uh-huh. Guys, let's face it. We can't find Davy anywhere. We need help and there's only one man who can help us." Mike said.

"Sherlock Holmes?" Peter guessed.

"No...well yeah. But he ain't here. There's someone else."

"Who Mike?" Peter asked.

"Yeah who?" Micky asked.

"His older twin. If anyone can help us. It's him." Mike said.

I hope. he thought.

"Micky? Peter? Mike? Anybody?" young Davy called. He sighed.

I swear I've passed this tv ten times. he thought. He decided to go a different route and soon found himself at the beach house.

"Hey you!" a man yelled.

Davy spun around and gasped."Mr.Babbit?!"

"You guys are late on your rent again! You have until next week to pay me or it's out you go!"

Davy shivered as he quickly walked away. Again he found himself lost.

This is driving me crackers! I keep getting meself lost! he thought.

He sighed.

"Davy?" he heard a girl call.

He turned around. "Vicky? Oh finally I see someone I know...well someone I know who's nice."

"What are you doing out here? Are you lost?" Vicky asked.

"I can't find any of my friends anywhere." Davy sighed.

"Come on. You can come over my house."

Davy felt rain drops dripping on his hair. "I don't want to cause trouble."

"You're getting soaked. Come on." Vicky said taking his hand.

The two entered her house.

"Hey! Josh has a new game!" Davy exclaimed.

"Freeze! Get your hands off that controller!" Vicky yelled.

Davy laughed. "Least I wasn't as bad as Mike. He stayed up all night playing that game."

"Can I ask you a question?" Vicky asked.

"Sure."

"Does Micky have a girlfriend?"

"No." Davy replied sneaking a glance at the game.

"I'm over here." Vicky laughed.

"Sorry. No, he doesn't."

"Does he like me? I mean does he talk about me?" Vicky asked.

"Yeah. I think he likes you." Davy smiled.

"Then why'd he freak out when I kissed him this afternoon. He said he was sorry but he couldn't date me." Vicky said sounding hurt.

Davy sighed. "I'm sorry Vicky but I can't tell you. It's too confusing."

"You can tell me. Is he shy?"

"No. Peter's the shy one." Davy said.

"Then what? Please Davy. Tell me." Vicky begged.

Davy sneezed.

"You feel okay?" Vicky asked.

Davy sneezed again. "I feel okay." he said sneezing again.

"I think you're catching a cold. Why don't you go put on a pair of Josh's pjs. You guys are the same height. They should fit." Vicky pointed to Josh's room.

"Thank you." Davy said sneezing.

He entered Josh's room. The truth was he was a little under the weather. Which also relieved him a little bit. Vicky had stopped talking about Micky. He was afraid of accidently letting the truth slip out.
