Chapter 3

"Morning." Peter grinned.

How can Davy put up with him for a roommate. He is way too chipper in the morning. Micky thought.

The two entered the living room. Davy was still asleep. Mike however was still playing the video game.

"Mike! Have you been up all night?!" Peter asked in shock.

"Uh-huh. Davy's right. This game is alot of fun!" Mike smiled.

"Um...we're going to get some donuts. Wanna come?" Micky asked.

"Nope."

"Mike. I have to do this. I'm turning the game off." Peter sighed.

"NO!"

Peter hit the off button. Davy woke up.

"Where's my controller?" he asked. He looked at the tv screen and gasped.

"Let's get some breakfast." Micky suggested.

"But the game!" Davy whined.

"Let's go, David." Peter said sharply.

"No! I wanna play the game!"

"That's it." Peter said. He picked Davy up and tossed him over his shoulder.

"Hey! Put me down!"

"In a minute." Peter replied.

They all walked outside.

"Will you please put me down?"

"In a minute. When we get further away from the game." Peter replied.

"I can't believe I was up all night playing that thing." Mike groaned.

"Well, I will say this. If we ever travel to the future again, no more video games for you two!" Peter exclaimed as he sat Davy down in the grass.

"Bully." Davy said dusting himself off.

"It was for your own good." Micky laughed.

"I'll be back fellas. I have to use the bathroom." Davy said heading to a resturant.

He entered and looked around. As he headed back to the others he banged into someone.

"I'm sorry." Davy said.

He felt himself being pulled to his feet.

"You okay mate?"

Davy smiled. "Hey. You sound like you're from Manchester. That's where I'm from."

"That's right! I moved there when I was..." the man looked as if he seen a ghost.

Davy looked around.

"I'm sorry." the man said. "But you look exactly like me when I was young. And I do mean exactly. What's your name?"

"David Jones. Everyone calls me-"

"Davy." the man gasped.

Davy felt really scared. "How...how'd you know that?"

"Because they call me that!" the man exclaimed.

Davy swallowed hard. "What um what was your father's name?"

"Harry. My mother's name was-"

"Doris." Davy gasped.

The two stared at each other for a moment.

"Wow." young Davy said.

"Yeah. Wow." older Davy said still in shock.

"Davy. Come on." an older man with gray hair sighed. He seen the other Davy.

"Gee Dave. He looks like you used too. Did you have a son that I don't know about?"

"No. I have four girls. You know that." older Davy said.

"How old are you?" young Davy asked.

"Sixty. How old are you?" older Davy asked.

"Twenty two." young Davy said still somewhat shaking. He was very confused.

"Davy, will you...man he looks like an older version of you." Peter said with a gasp.

"He is an older version of me!" young Davy cried.

"What?!" Peter exclaimed.

"Peter. I'm sixty years old." young Davy explained.

"Wow, Davy. You look so young." Peter said sounding surprised.

"No. I mean, I'm sixty in this time. And that's me at sixty!" he pointed to the older version of himself.

Peter gasped. "Wow."

"How'd this happen?" older Davy asked.

"I don't know! We just woke up and we were here!" young Davy cried.

"Who are you?" Peter asked the man with gray hair.

"Mike Nesmith."

Young Davy and Peter looked at each other and gasped.

"Would you two get a move on." young Mike groaned.

"Oh my goodness." older Mike gasped.

Young Mike glanced at the two older gentlemen. "Do I know you?"

"Uh-huh." young Davy squeaked.

"Now Davy. Calm down." older Mike said.

"Stop ordering me around. I mean the younger version of me around." older Davy said. Then looked confused.

"I see you're still bossy." young Davy teased.

"Yeah, he is." older Davy grinned.

"Shut up midget." both Mikes grumbled.

"I see they also haven't let up on the short jokes." young Davy sighed.

"Gives you something to look forward to doesn't it?" older Davy laughed.

Both older versions of Peter and Micky walked by.

"Mike. Davy. Let's go." Peter said. Then looked scared. As did young Peter.

"Hi...my future self." Peter waved.

Young Micky walked out. "Wow. What happened here?"

"We're meeting our future selves." young Peter explained.

Young Micky screamed. "Where's my fro? I liked my fro! Where is it?"

"I don't remember being this hyper. Wonder when I stopped." older Micky wondered out loud.

"It hasn't happened yet." older Davy cracked.

"Shut up midget!" older Micky barked.

"I didn't say anything!" young Davy protested.

"Nice going. You confused the poor kid." older Peter laughed.

"Thank the older version of you." older Micky laughed.

"This is unbelieveable. This is like something from the twilight zone." young Micky gasped.

"No, the x-files." older Peter said.

"The what-files?" young Mike asked.

"Come on. We have alot of explaining to do." older Mike said with a laugh.
