Chapter 10

Don Kirshner was coming home from the neighboring Kingdom. The King of the neighboring Kingdom wanted war but luckily they made a deal; four knights from each Kingdom would fight to the death until one knight was standing, and whoever's knight is standing will be the winning Kingdom. There was only one problem, all the knights in his Kingdom were lazy, there hasn't been a war in years and Dragons have been in hiding.

"I'll figure something out."

Don was almost in complete control over the Kingdom, some of the people said he did more than the King did. He made the laws, he decided what to tax them, he took care of the money, he did almost everything.

Don arrived at his Kingdom and exited his carriage.

"Where is everyone?" He asked the knight who was guarding the gates.

"They're inside watching the King's new musicians sir." He answered.

"Bring Valerie here." Said Don and the knight called for Valerie Kairys.

She was an expert with Knights; she always knew what to look for. She discovered Sir Gawain, Sir Galahad, Sir Tristan and Sir Gareth and many more.

"You called for me?" Asked Valerie.

"The knights we have right now can't even fight a blind Bosherling with a broken leg, let alone fight the neighboring Kingdom's best Knights. I need you to find four men who can fight and win."

"It will be done." Said Valerie.

----

Don walked into the castle and entered the room where everyone was enjoying themselves watching Peter, David, Michael and George. Don took his seat next to the King, who was laughing at their jokes.

"Who are these men? Court jesters?" Asked Don.

"No," Said the King, his face red from all the laughing. "They're my new musicians. They play music, they dance, they sing, they do everything."

"Surrender you fierce Dragon!" Said George as he swung a wooden sword at Peter and Michael who were in a Dragon costume.

"Grrrrr!!" Michael and Peter growled.

Valerie stood next to Don Kirshner.

"I've found your four knights." She told him.

"That was fast." He said. "Who are they?"

"You're looking at them."

"Them?" Asked Don, pointing at Peter, David, Michael and George.

"Yes, they have what it takes to be knights."

"They're not knights, they're musicians."

"They can be knights if their fathers are knights."

Don Kirshner thought about it. They didn't look like knights to him, they looked like court jesters, but he knew that Valerie knew what she was talking about; she's been doing this for years.

"Aright," Said Don. "Find out if their fathers are knights."

----

Valerie entered Don's room.

"What have you found out?" He asked her.

"Peter, Michael and David's fathers are knights." She told him.

"What about the other boy, George?"

"No. His first father was an actor and his second father is a priest."

Don paced the room, and then he got an idea.

"We don't have to tell them that." Said Don.

"What?"

"The law says that 'A young man can also become a knight for valor in combat after a battle'. We can knight him after they battle the neighboring Kingdom's knights, if he lives that is."
