"Ladies and gentlemen, we are the Monkees. Our first song tonight is called "You Just May Be The One". It goes out to a very fine lady this evening," Mike said and then began the opening riff to the song. As Mike began to sing, Lillian softened up and turned her attention towards the stage. For four guys with long hair and loud clothing, they sure had a good sound she had to admit. During the bridge of the song, Lillian caught Mike's eye. As soon as they made eye contact, he smiled and winked at her. To Mike's dismay, Lillian turned away from his sign of affection. Little did he know, she was just trying to hide her smile. Derreck was horrified by Mike's action as a look of disgust came across his face. When the song was over, everyone clapped, including Lillian. Derreck's clap was out of courtesy and nothing more.
After several more songs, the guys called it a night and headed back to their cabin. None of them could stop talking about the evening.
"Wow, wasn't that some dinner tonight? I don't think I've ever seen so much food," Micky said.
"Yeah, I can't tell you the last time I've had lobster. I felt like I was trying it for the first time tonight," Davy said.
"I can't remember the last time I had a steak. I think I was a child and staying at my Aunt Kate's for the week," Mike said.
"Weren't the chandeliers just beautiful?" Peter said.
"Yep, that wasn't the only beautiful thing, was it Mike?" Micky said as he winked knowingly at his best friend.
"Yeah, she looked lovely tonight. Oh what's wrong with me! I should get out of the clouds and put my feet back on the ground. She would never be interested in someone like me," Mike said.
"That doesn't sound like the Mike I know," Peter said.
"Well, I"m just being realistic. She thinks we're nothing but a bunch of lowlifes. I might as well accept the truth. You can't change a spoiled brat's point of view," Mike said.
"Yeah, you're probably right Mike. Besides, after this week you wouldn't see her anymore. I wouldn't fret over her," Davy said.

Meanwhile, two cabins over, Derreck was interrogating Lillian about her behavior at the concert.
"You were looking at him. I saw you. What's the deal Lillian?" Derreck asked.
"I wasn't looking at anybody. I was listening to the music. You have to quit being so suspicious of me," Lillian said.
"I saw that long haired creep wink at you and you smiled. How do you know him? I want to know," Derreck pressed further.
"I don't know him! If you must know, I smiled because he embarrassed me. It was a reaction and nothing more," Lillian said.
"He's been looking at you since we've boarded this ship. You stay clear of him, do you understand me?" Derreck said as he bore a stare right into Lillian.
"Understood," Lillian said with tears in her eyes.
