Hi guys! Kaye here. A while back, I started a story called “Hard to Believe.” It was a story about a princess (Heavily Xena influenced) who asked Peter to help her win her father’s kingdom back in The Land That Might Have Been. Well, “real” life kinda interrupted the story.
Monkees: Boo!!
Davy: Who’s Xena?
Mike: Shh.
Micky: Yeah, continue Kaye.
Kaye: But with repeated requests from Peter----
Peter: That’s me!!
Kaye: Yeah and as I was saying----
Peter: Oh, OK. I’ll be quiet.
Kaye: Thank you. (Ahem) As I was saying, I was pestered into finishing the saga---so—
Peter: Oh boy! The end! The end!!
Kaye: Peter, do you mind?
Peter: Sorry. (Looks sad)
Kaye: Thank you. So here it is, the end of the story. But first I must give a recap of the action that took place so far.
Monkees (together): Must you?
Kaye: I must. Now as I stated, Peter was asked to help Princess Helen regain her father’s kingdom. Princess Helen was feared dead and her father had married an evil queen. The Queen, playing on the King’s sadness over the loss of his daughter, drugged him and kept him away from everybody. When Peter found the princess after the attack on her coach, he knew she was a real princess, but Micky didn’t think she was. Princess Helen and Micky got into a lot of arguments.
Micky: I’ll say!
Kaye (looks at Micky) May I?
Micky: Heh-heh. Sure. Sorry.
Kaye: Mike and Davy played along with Helen’s claims to be a princess, only Peter was sure. Helen wanted Peter’s help because he looked like Prince Halsten, Helen’s betroth.
Peter agreed to masquerade as the Prince. The real Prince Halsten was bringing his army from his kingdom. Helen had guards who were loyal to her father to join in the attack. Helen, who was masquerading as a boy, revealed herself and the fight began. There was a lot of swordplay, but no one got hurt. In the end, the evil Queen, her daughter and her Captain of the Guards, were doomed to be forever in exile from the kingdoms of Zar and Zan as well as neighboring kingdoms in The Land That Might Have Been. The Monkees, including Micky---
Micky: Thank you.
Kaye: You’re welcome. The Monkees all became honorary knights of the court. Micky and Helen made up and all was forgiven
Monkees: Yay!!!
Kaye: May I continue?’
Monkees: By all means.
Kaye: OOOK. All was well in the kingdom. Princess Helen and Prince Halsten were married. The Monkees played at the wedding reception and everyone lived happily ever after. OK. Are happy now guys? (Silence) Guys, speak to me!!
Peter: Oh, we knew it all along.
Micky: Yeah we knew.
Kaye: But how? Mike? Davy?
Mike Well what did ya expect?
Davy: This is Monkee Fanfics in Dreamworld.
Kaye: So it is. (sighs)
