Early one morning. . .
“Prince Halsten is here!” the crier announced.
“Drat! Must he always do this?” the Queen lamented.
The Prince had almost made a habit of coming to the castle unannounced. He was making true of his vow to the King. He was also wrecking havoc with the Queen and her plans and giving Deceivia more chances to throw herself at him.
Prince Halsten checked on the King as always, but this time his visit was diverted. Sir Nigel requested an audience with him and gratefully, the Prince complied.
Off from the main room
“Sir Nigel? Halsten asked.
“Your highness, Helen is alive! I have seen and talked with her.”
“H-Helen? Alive? How can this be?”
“She was found by musicians. They helped her, but only one of them believes she is in fact a princess. The one that believes is a double of you. He is the key to her plan.”
“She has a plan?” Halsten asked.
“Let me tell you. She said she needed a sword, so I gave her one of mine. Why on earth would she need that ?”
“Let me tell you,” Halsten said smiling.
Later that same morning. . .
Helen stood looking toward her father’s kingdom.
“I will set things right father. On my life I will!” Helen promised.
“Dreams of grandeur?” a voice asked.
Helen assumed a fighter’s stance and turned to face Micky.
“Good morning to you too,” Helen said. “Look Dolenz, I don’t want to start. It’s too early in the morning!”
“I know about you. You don’t need this staff anymore and you need to leave Peter alone,” Micky said as he held Helen’s staff.
“No.”
“What did you say?” Micky asked.
“No,” Helen repeated, her reflexes tensing.
“If you weren’t a girl, I’d----” Micky started.
“You’d what?” Helen asked with steel resolve.
“Look, I don’t want to fight and I don’t fight girls. Not even crazy ones!” Micky shot at her.
“Coincidence. I don’t either!” Helen shot back standing her ground.
“I have had it with you and your stories of royalty. I see this has to end now!” Micky said, his eyes narrowing.
“And you think I’m crazy,” Helen replied. “You started this Dolenz and I’m about to finish it.”
“You challenging me?” Micky asked.
“You accepting?” Helen asked.
“That’s it lady! It’s on!” Micky, too, took a fighter’s stance and the two circled each other in the clearing.
Mike, Peter, and Davy rushed to the clearing when they discovered the two best enemies were absent from the Pad at the same time. This could only spell trouble.
“Micky! Helen! Where are you?!” Mike called as they ran.
Upon hearing the names being called, Micky looked in the direction of the voice. Helen, seizing the opportunity, lunged toward Micky and caught him by the collar.
“I’m sorry Dolenz, but I can’t allow you to interfere,” Helen smiled. Then she fell to the ground reaching for the staff that Micky still held.
“Mike! Peter! Davy! Help me!!” she called.
Mike, Peter, and Davy reached the clearing and saw Micky holding the staff while Helen desperately reached for it from the ground.
“Mick!! What are you doing?!,” Mike asked as the group stopped.
“Micky!” Davy gasped “What has gotten into you?”
“That’s not nice Micky,” Peter said as he helped Helen to her feet.
“B-but guys! This isn’t what it looks like!! She can walk very well without this staff!!” Micky protested.
“All I know is that you should be ashamed of yourself. What is it you’ve got against her?” Mike asked.
“But, last night I saw her. She walked and she was dressed like a warrior. Guys, she’s gonna get Peter killed, or even worse hurt!!”
The three other guys looked at Micky and shock their heads. They thought their friend had lost his mind with such accusations.
“Maybe you should come here to meditate, instead of Peter, because, man, your head needs clearing big-time!” Mike stated.
“But guys---” Micky whined. “No more. You need to think about what you’ve done, and then apologize to the lady,” Peter added. With that the guys helped Helen back to the Pad in the woods, leaving a seething Micky alone in the clearing plotting his revenge.
